This entire bill was to pacify their insane base, who were making demands leading into the midterms.

It's also to keep pushing the collapse forward, as the Great Reset may be their only salvation, but I'd expect some to be jumping ship by now.

7
Inquisitor_Corvus 7 points ago +7 / -0

Wait until after the midterms. I know everyone is ecstatic about the candidates, but we aren’t there yet. We still have elections coming.

10
War_Hamster 10 points ago +11 / -1

As you probably know, I'm consulting for a few candidates in the midterms. That means there are two taking my advice and a few more who are at least listening.

I met with the Republican candidate for CA Governor today for the first time. No way will he touch real election integrity issues.

We now have a three party system, and I have no idea which way the establishment Republican voters will go in November in the races where the grass roots guys won the primary. Will they stay home or vote Dem rather than vote America First?

Because that's what seems to be the real question, besides how fair the elections will be.

4
Inquisitor_Corvus 4 points ago +5 / -1

Nail, meet hammer. That’s the question. I can tell you it’s getting interesting, geopolitically, out here. Not only is our party split, so is our military - hell, every institution. It’s batshit crazy. November will be interesting, for certain.

2
Necrovoter 2 points ago +3 / -1

I have no idea which way the establishment Republican voters will go in November

I think the vast majority will go with whoever they think is the real conservative. Trying to keep the MSM and GOP from painting their RINO candidates as America first is the key part.

Trump should be helping by rolling out an updated list of RINOs who have betrayed America on key votes. The GOP can't stop his voice from getting out, and if they try to lie about what Trump says, very few real republicans will vote for them. There are semi-republicans as well, but the worse things get, the less they care about anyone that is middle of the road.

Trump could also make it clear that he warned Americans before how bad the economy would get, and make it clear that things will get far worse if we don't get the democrats out of office AND get MAGA candidates in who will work to stop the down slide.

0
Stuffyknows2much 0 points ago +1 / -1

Lmao a three party system? No we gave a two party system and suddenly Andrew Yang

5
Necrovoter 5 points ago +6 / -1

This entire bill was to pacify their insane base

More likely, the bill was about funding future election fraud, rewarding past election fraud, giving them a bunch of powers to crack down on people, giving themselves hundreds of thousands to millions each through various schemes,

and a small part for MSM to hold up in public to mollify their base.
I don't think they care about their base. If they can sustain enough election fraud, they don't need them anymore.

5

2
Stuffyknows2much 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't know for sure, but its apparently more conducive to the idea of "crypto as energy" rather than "crypto as money". That sounds counterintuitive if you're trying to make a monetary system, but these people are trying to make something much more "socially conscious" and "equitable" than cold hard cash, so they gravitate towards things like staking instead of mining, DAGs instead of blockchains, and "reputation" of individual nodes to influence value rather than market ups/downs.

6
War_Hamster 6 points ago +6 / -0

The demand collapse may keep headline inflation in check.

I'm actually expecting the next CPI print to be lower than 9.1%.

(Note: This does not mean that prices are going down. It means that the pace of increase, as measured year-over-year, will be lower. This is because inflation made its first big jump up in July of 2021, and the change from July 2021 to July 2022 will be less than that of June 2021 to June 2022. Prices are still rising, but not quite as quickly as they were 30 days ago.)

Let's do individual cap gains are treated as regular income above 15x the average income of lowest 90% of the population salaries based on tax return receipts of the previous year.

17
Rerecursive 17 points ago +17 / -0

Let's do less taxes, not more. Tax the rich is commie class warfare bullshit.

Let's focus the government on enforcing laws like busting up corporate trusts, fighting anticompetitive practices, supporting small businesses, and enforcing immigration laws.

4
War_Hamster 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sure, but the government works for the corporate/oligarchical interests, so they're not going to even start implementing the common sense initiatives you suggest.

You don't fix the corruption by using the corrupt apparatus.

1
Cantshadowbanthemall 1 point ago +1 / -0

The "tax the rich" has always been on income as a way to gut the middle class. Mine points directly at the ruling few who currently crush the middle class. And note the dependence on income of the previous tax year, that means if the middle class is doing better, they can do regular gains on a higher amount.

Gotta play the cards that win wars (were losing the war fyi. WEF everywhere)

1
Continue 1 point ago +1 / -0

The truly rich will end up having some kind of loophole or tax shelter that they'll bribe congress to ignore, while the proposals you change will slide down to the middle class. Happens every single time.

1
Cantshadowbanthemall 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't disagree with rich getting saved by congress, hence I want a constitutional amendment.

For trickle down, it is based on the previous years in ome, that keeps it out of the middle class

Don't believe the lies by Republican senators that claim they were against it. The outcome was known long before the vote was made. I bet the majority of them support it because it furthers the globalist agenda. It is also why they colluded to steal the election.

4
War_Hamster 4 points ago +4 / -0

This has been true for quite some time. Not all Republican or Democrat Senators are completely controlled, but enough are that with the others, it's just a matter of figuring out the leverage points.

I don't think there's been a bill actually not written by the lobbyists in my lifetime.

9
BeerAndCope 9 points ago +11 / -2

The sad part is this would have happened no matter which party was in power. All the government knows to do to a problem is throw money at it. We’re fucked because it is impossible to solve inflation by throwing money at it, in fact that is the one thing that will make it worse. The government is just going to keep spending and spending and spending and inflation is just going to keep going up and up and up. I seriously am scared.

9
JackLemon 9 points ago +9 / -0

The sad part is this would have happened no matter which party was in power.

If Trump and MAGA pols were in charge there wouldn't be any inflation and Putin wouldn't have invaded. This predictment was planned and executed by globalists.

0
BeerAndCope 0 points ago +2 / -2

Trump was in charge for all of 2020. We spent something like 7 trillion dollars that year. Pulled it out of thin air for stimulus, lockdown welfare, corporate bail outs, ect. He signed every one of those bills. Biden continued spending even more, but Trump and the conservatives had control in 2020 and they heavily contributed to the inflation we’re dealing with now.

When conservatives take over again they will continue spending.

2
Fiveslow 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're right, this isn't a partisan issue, this is a government overspending issue. Neither side can understand what it's like to be an average American. They make deals to pass legislation. Laws shouldn't be made like a contract between two corporations.

2
JackLemon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bullshit shill. Inflation was completely under control under Trump. The source of our inflation now is due solely to Biden's insane energy policies and spending. Your attempt to spread disinformation so as to undermine Trump should get you deported.

0
BeerAndCope 0 points ago +1 / -1

Inflation was fine under Trump, but he approved of massive bailout spending in 2020 that contributed to the inflation we have now. That is a fact. Biden and the democrats have/are making it a lot worse, but you are lying to yourself if you believe the massive spending in 2020 didn’t contribute to this. You’re also lying to yourself if you think the republicans are going to stop spending when they get power back.

1
JackLemon 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, you're lying. The inflation wasn't due to the spending Trump did, but solely to the illegitimate, criminal pedophile Biden's policies. Inflation could have been controlled but Biden's energy policies destroyed any chance of that. Gas and oil prices are, as always, the main driver of inflation. If the election hadn't been stolen and the rightful President was in charge there wouldn't be runaway inflation nor a war in the Ukraine.

Also, what makes you think people here support the Republicans? I guess Soros troll farmers didn't inform you that many of us here hate the traitorous Republican wing of the uni-party. They are anti-American, globalist puppets not conservatives.

1
BeerAndCope 1 point ago +1 / -0

The price of gas and oil is not the main driver of inflation. Inflation was happening to economies before gas or oil were even discovered. The amount of money in the system is the driver of inflation. The price of gas could drop $2 right now and inflation would still continue rising because we just continue creating and adding new money to the system making the dollar worth less and less.

Inflation isn’t goods becoming more valuable, it’s money becoming less valuable. If you dump trillions of dollars into the system you lower the value of every dollar.

1
JackLemon 1 point ago +1 / -0

We're not talking about ancient economies, but modern ones. It's been long known that higher energy prices drive inflation because they directly increase the cost and delivery of ALL goods. There is no other explanation for the exact start of the increase in petroleum costs and subsequent inflation with Biden's illegitimate election and war against affordable energy and the the petroleum industry.

I agree that excess money can cause inflation, but we have had tremendous spending for decades now without inflation, your argument is refuted by the facts.

7
TheLesserBambino 7 points ago +7 / -0
