Can someone explain to my idiot self how the first two bullet points add up to $669 billion out of a $433 billion failed inflation reduction plan?

41
ColonelTravis 41 points ago +42 / -1

They overlap.

23
Dereliction 23 points ago +23 / -0

How does $369B for energy and climate overlap with $80B for IRS agents? That already busts the figure.

Also, $300B in loan guarantees means this could balloon far above $433B.

7
ColonelTravis 7 points ago +8 / -1

The op was just about the first two bullet points.

11
user20461 11 points ago +11 / -0

I think he means that the $369B combined with the $80B for IRS agents alone surpasses the $433B figure.

6
Dereliction 6 points ago +6 / -0

Sure, but 1 & 3 must overlap even though they (on the face of it) do not. IRS agents do not work on "climate efforts." And those two combined are more than $433B.

6
anotherthing 6 points ago +6 / -0

Wait for the carbon tax, then they overlap.

4
NewAnon5522 4 points ago +4 / -0

IRS agents do not work on "climate efforts" yet... With these idiots they just may start cause meh social justice.

We'll pass the bill then find out what's in it

15
DrBJTester 15 points ago +15 / -0

Because the corrupt ruling class will squeeze in as much money laundering as possible in the middle of the night after the bill has passed.

3

3
DrBJTester 3 points ago +3 / -0

We need to start a wood chipper tradition fren.

2

Not sure there are enough wood chippers for all the commies we’re talking about, but we’ll manage.

2
Xchr0nos 2 points ago +2 / -0

As long as we properly maintain them, we have plenty of wood chippers to go around

2
DrBJTester 2 points ago +2 / -0

We really need to ramp up domestic wood chipper production because we're going to need every wood chipper we can get our hands on and they're going to be running 24/7.

14

Cause you see they raised taxes in the same bill so total cost off set by your money.

2
culpfiction 2 points ago +2 / -0

They plan to raise extra money by closing tax 'loopholes'; auditing more people.

In an earlier version they also raised taxes to pay down the national debt, though I don't know if that piece made it into this bill.

More than likely this bill will add to the national debt. The government is never accurate in their assessments of how much money their tax laws will generate, because people change behavior and find other loopholes.

Environmental justice is a social movement to address the unfair exposure of poor and marginalized communities to harms associated with resource extraction, hazardous waste, and other land uses.

are they going to move the power plants into rich neighborhoods? their Teslas would charge a little faster

9

60 billion for enviro justice? "You can't plant this year farmer!" "You can't use that fertilizer farmer! It's the best and only one that gives you better crop yields? Tough shit!" "We pay you $5 to plow your fields into nothing, and keep the rest for ourselves."

27

Something Alex Jones said sprang to mind, basically the puppet politicians are to destroy the country to a point where people lose faith in the system and will gladly accept the banks/mega corporate saviors that'll come in offering free digital currency/UBI and then we end up in something much worse than China.

23
swift_water 23 points ago +23 / -0

Can't have a reset without turning it off first. That's why the only way to fight back right now is to be building up parallel structures so you can realistically decline the new system.

Prepare for all possibilities, it's good to have backup plans with locals. For now I support him and hope he's just letting things get bad enough to wake more people up so there's less chance of war and mass death. But there's the vax deaths, and maybe he thinks he has time to save most with some cure after he gets power again since animal studies show it'll take near 10 years for many vax deaths.

2
Unaor2 2 points ago +2 / -0

"I'll poison tens of millions of my own supporters then maybe possibly consider perhaps starting work on finding an antidote to said poison many years later, provided everything goes as planned, no promises"

1
TrumpAndGodWin 1 point ago +2 / -1

How do you know he knew what was in the vax? He knows how badly they cheat now and how many votes he'll need to defeat that, so coming out against the vax will get him labeled antivaxxer in the minds of the brainwashed masses or even blamed for the deaths. What's your opinion?

0
Unaor2 0 points ago +1 / -1

I don't know that he knew that. I was poking fun at the assertion that Trump knowingly told his supporters to take a poison that he would start work on finding a cure for when he gets re-elected. Also 2016 candidate Trump gained mass popularity by saying "controversial" things that spat in the face of MSM and globohomo narratives.

How again does planting trees, and buying electric cars help combat inflation?

We should be chopping down trees, and producing oil and coal if we want to bring inflation down. it's cheaper to produce everything when we dont have to pay so much for the energy to produce it not to mention transport it, and i dont know how the lumber biz is doing rn but i remember plywood for new homes going through the roof some months back.

This government is not in the business of helping citizens but breaking them. Wonder what they will say when they ask who radicalized the next person and their answer is "you, joe and kamala did".

23
x79q3pb 23 points ago +23 / -0

5
jhewish 5 points ago +6 / -1

There needs to be some capacity at the state level to opt out of spending taxes on certain projects (there probably is already and its being ignored)

The federal government should NOT be able to freely spend its preemptively collected money on whatever the fuck it wants; they should have to explicitly state every fucking project they intend to spend money on and the states should be able to reduce the federal tax payout of its residents by opting out of certain things.

Wtf does any of that mean? Do they outline where all it goes and what it'll actually be spent on?

$60B on "Environmental justice initiatives?" Are they going after white tree's for being racists?

Other than the $9B tax credits, all those are the same as "energy and climate efforts."

$369 billion to shut down your cheap coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy and force you onto rolling-blackout green energy.

$300 billion+ to give to leftist-run "green" companies, only to flop and go bankrupt later (the big guys take all the money).

$80 billion to increase audits into conservative groups and anyone holding/hiding huge gains in crypto, also siphoning extra money from average taxpayers, while claiming to lower your taxes after blaming Putin for raising them.

$60 billion to keep new oil and gas leases from being granted, while revoking those whose land grants overlap some Natives' land (who conquered that land from the previous, now extinct Natives).

$9 billion in tax credits for wealthy families to buy green energy vehicles, which instead cause further strain on the "transitioning" electric grid for everyone else.

$2.6 billion to prevent new oil and gas leases offshore such as Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, also to tear down a few hydroelectric dams to save one or two species of fish.

$1.5 billion to plant trees on fertile farmland, reducing overall number of farms, cattle, and carbon footprint, "returning the land to Gaia, Mother Earth."

6
Deltamyass 6 points ago +6 / -0

Why do wealthy families need tax credits to buy electric vehicles, aren’t they “wealthy?”

2
WhatTheActualFuckS 2 points ago +3 / -1

Fox is implying only the rich can buy electric vehicles. Although the point of tax credits is to make them more in line with new gas cars for the same type of car. It’s stupid for people to say that average Americans dont ever buy new cars when Americans buy 17 million new cars every year.

They're hoping it will fail after October even though the money would be printed and circulated by then. There is going to be a massive hit to the Economy come October when gas prices stop being held down by our Strategic oil reserves.

The ban on russian imports is about to be noticeable on the market shelves in a moment. Fertilizer is harder to come by now. They can't forestall this. They're trying to break everything before the election.
