What is the FBI supposed to do, anyway? Every crime can be pursued by local law enforcement and for crime across States different local law enforcements can coordinate.

What exactly is the role of the FBI ?

GabeC1997 27 points ago +27 / -0

To make sure local cops can't coordinate and intercept certain cases before the perpetrators are identified?

Like all government programs, when they no longer had a purpose they created one.

2
TheWinningNeverStops 2 points ago +2 / -0

To persecute and harass citizens on behalf of the federal government.

As far as I recall, They were put together as a Posse that some states agreed on to chase criminals that crossed state lines due to jurisdiction blah blah blah. Bonnie and Clyde were the catalyst for their real take off. That was 1934. Founded 1908, so they had some time to get their wheels greased. Just my 2 cents.

I believe the FBI, CIA, NIH, CDC, FDA, DHS and the Dept of Education all need to be disbanded and carefully replaced. The deep state is completely out of control now.

mynewspiritclothes 20 points ago +20 / -0

Screw that "replace" shit.

Military. Local law enforcement. (Respondents, not "police.)

It ain't that fuckin hard.

SF_Patriot 6 points ago +6 / -0

Clean fucking sweep. All 3 letters must be axed. The federal government has grown completely out of control and it's influence and these corrupt, career tax money suckling unelected bureaucrats must go.

hospitalier 7 points ago +7 / -0

ATF but reopen it as a store

1
Schweddynadz 1 point ago +1 / -0

YES PLEASE! I'll take the m60 with the infrared scope and 6000 rounds of ammo.

WTF conservatives? IRS doesn't make this cut?

1
TheWinningNeverStops 1 point ago +1 / -0

LOL literally had to remind someone else about this. Did people forget the irs? lol

1
Lapstrake 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol, no it was a comment to a social media post. I didn't make spreadsheets and evaluate different lists to optimize. My apologies!

3
IWI9000 3 points ago +3 / -0

The states should own this.

2
flashersenpai 2 points ago +2 / -0

and carefully replaced

keep stubbing your toe on that same stump, maybe it will move out of the way next time

17
CommieCrats 17 points ago +17 / -0

abolish the fbi totally and irs bill

ineptatf 5 points ago +5 / -0

federal income tax came with the Volstead act because the federal government was mostly funded by sales tax on booze. Volstead act was repealed with 21st amendment. federal income tax should go away IRS with it.

In addition, the FBI, ATF, DEA, and every other armed federal agency would have been considered a standing army by the founders, and therefore also undesirable with no authority to act within any state.

LampshadeDisco 8 points ago +8 / -0

The Federal in Federal Bureau of Investigations is just like the Federal in Federal Reserve.....means nothing.

6
Dylan_da_Spider 6 points ago +6 / -0

If Trump ever does try that he'll need to be quiet and have only someone he trusts write up the documents required to do so. Let it come out of the blue, sign it publicly (live broadcast) that way no "accidents" happen on the lead up to disbanding the FBI.

Remember, the constitution is a list of what the federal government can and cannot do. If it isn't specifically listed, it is a state or individual issue. Where in the constitution does it allow for the FBI?

1
Orangeredneck 1 point ago +1 / -0

More specifically is the limited powers that the people conveyed to the government, as all power originates with the people.

what explicitly gives them authorization? very hard to find anything.

3
spezholio 3 points ago +3 / -0

Send them all to Ukraine. One way.

3
CaptainButthurt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Been saying this for a while. It only took a president getting swatted basically by these thugs for everyone to notice...

dr_gonzo 3 points ago +4 / -1

THIS is the attitude our side needs. We just implicitly accept all this authoritarian bullshit that has permeated our government as if it's totally normal. We need to start thinking about CLOSING departments, REPEALING Marxist bullshit. Don't tweak it. GET RID OF IT!

I heard Dan Bongino say, "We really need to rebuild the FBI". No no no! We already know what a federalized police turned into. We see the inherent flaw that libertarians have been screaming about for decades in regard to the FBI, manifesting itself right now. Eventually it is coopted by ideologues, and opportunistically weaponized for their own political motives. Why in the hell would we think it would work out differently a second time?

GOP establishmentarians sound just like leftists with socialism. "The only problem is that the right people aren't in charge". Bullshit, the problem is the existence of the FBI, not the improper people running it. This was ALWAYS the inevitable outcome of the FBI.

One thing is for sure Rousseau social contract has been broken beyond repair.

2
SF_Patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

I didn’t sign it. And Rousseau was a loser who gave his kids to the state because he couldn’t be bothered to raise them. He was the woke ninny of his day. No need to mention his name.

1
IWI9000 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your wrong. Locke was superior, but he still contributed. What have your done?

1
SF_Patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Stay on topic. Don’t try to change the subject like a goofy libtard.

What am I wrong about ? No liking a proto-communist?

1
IWI9000 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your a dolt. First, Marx was 19th century and Rousseau was 18th century.

Second, Rousseau advocated for small scale direct democracy, which is not the same as communism. He was also focused on finding ways of preserving individual freedom as well.

1
SF_Patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s why I call him a proto-Communist. If you want to go offline and talk about my wasted years of studying French thought, I am happy to. This conversation does not seem to be going anywhere though. I am not the average commentor on the topic of Rousseau. Dolt is probably not the word that most who know me would use to describe me on this topic. Just like the leftists of this present era, Rousseau said some stuff that sounded good. The man was a proto-communist though. The sum of his life work brought about greater tyranny. He was also a hypocrite who was appropriately beloved by the awful, awful Jacobins. Like Marx, he could not be bothered to make his bed, yet had all the solutions for the rest of the world, and had no compulsion about using force as long as it brought about efficiency. He’s probably the better one to call a dolt. He probably did the best he could in the situation he was in and did an admirable job, but with the hindsight of a couple hundred years there is no reason for anyone short of some BLM ninny to be praising the guy at this point. His stuff just wasn’t that good and that can be judged by the fruits of his labor.

"But that's how you get pew-pewed in the face." ~ President

2
GodIsPerfect 2 points ago +2 / -0

A shame Trump didn’t do so.

1
MikesMeat 1 point ago +2 / -1

Wouldn’t be understood as well as it would be now. Fewer objections now.

2
PocketPosse 2 points ago +2 / -0

Provided the President can sign faster than the FBI can shoot.

2
559throw 2 points ago +2 / -0

So why didn't Trump do it?

He had his chance. This is why we kept saying fuck the optics, you won't get another chance at this. The leftists clearly do not give one fuck about optics.

2
TheWinningNeverStops 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah trump should have gotten rid of them and their cousins when he had the chance now he might never get back into office to rectify that mistake

1
KYMAGApatriot1 1 point ago +1 / -0

And they know that is exactly what Trump will do on his first day back in the Oval Office.

1
Brainz 1 point ago +1 / -0

“Stroke of a pen” you say? Hmm, why didn’t Trump do this then? So sick of the people acting like shit is soooo simplistic.

1
magaspif 1 point ago +1 / -0

So that's why they are so butthurt afraid of Trump.

1
Badradness 1 point ago +1 / -0

The path where they get to live has disappeared. Slay all traitors.
