Just my guess: For whatever reason he thought a nail gun would break the bullet proof glass better then a mag dump.

This is what I've heard. Apparently some nail guns can penetrate some security glass; didn't work in this case

Well considering I doubt he was wheeling around an air compressor with him, I'm going to have to go out on a limb and assume it was either a paslode or a 20v battery powered DeWalt or something, in which case that's probably why it didn't work......

When we make a movie about this, can we have him dragging an air compressor with him? I think that would add an element of humor the story is lacking.

Now look fat, an AR-14 with a high capacity armor piercing assault clip can literally explode someone like... like... you know, the thing! Come on man.

My time to shine baby!

I've got cordless dewalts from 20 gauge all the way up to the big bois

I've got a few paslodes, new and old style

And of course I've got the full assortment of pneumatic ones!

Dude!!! Don't let the FBI know about your arsenal. You need to go boating, quick!!!

As I was in a hurry before I really didn't type out the rest of the story.....

So I still have pictures of all these to share with everybody, is what I originally meant, but unfortunately I was heading across the lake I live on to help a buddy build a bunch of stuff. He literally called me and said "hey, bring every nail gun you got" and I said "I got you, bro", but in a very sad turn of events my bass boat was struck by lightning on the way across which started a fire..... Luckily everyone on board made it off safely, but the boat, along with all of my nail guns and nail gun ammunition, were a total loss...... Very sad.

Rip bass boat, paslodes and dewalts. :(

It was a very tearful day indeed

Just one unfortunate event after another that day..... My steel 80 gallon air compressor sitting in the middle of the boat acted as a lightning rod.... It was the damnedest thing.....

dude should've played more hitman games

Dude was loaded down carrying an ar and I have to assume a battery or manual staple gun? Dude wasn't hauling air line with him I wouldn't think.

4
Benwa1985-2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well, he was likely FBI so he probably had access to any air compressors and hoses laying around the maintenance shop.

"I was screeching in horror as he dragged his air compressor away!"

Turns out it wasn't actually a traditional nail gun and it was one of the ramset types that fires a hardened anchor nail with a 22lr blank

Just like you thinking batteries, I was picturing the dude wheeling around a loaded air compressor... We both missed the very obvious answer lol

Why is there 0 footage of any of this from even bystanders?

4
AbrahamLincoln 4 points ago +4 / -0

Because it is fictional.

How do you "fire" a nail gun toward someone? I'm not a carpenter, but I thought nail guns had safeties so that you have to press them against lumber before a nail will come out.

Can be held down with your finger if you are super careful, don't ask how I know this, my junior high shop teacher might lurk here :)
