Trump needs to be the nominee. He's got 4 years of running the country unshackled and without worrying about re-election to do.

38
Melania2032 38 points ago +38 / -0

He is the head of the movement. The MAGA/America First movement is full of players like MTG, DeSantis, etc which is the future, but it has to be him while he’s in his prime. He is the spearhead, and needs to be in office to make the greatest impact while he’s still got it. In 2028 he’ll be pushing 82, he can select and mentor the GOP nominee to continue the legacy.

DeSantis knows that Trump is his Daddy. DeSantis is a young boy, and his Daddy is teaching him how to Win.

Once DeSantis is a full grown man and his Daddy has passed away from old age or retired, the Boy can take over.

2
SpellingContable 2 points ago +5 / -3

I think Trump needs MTG or Boebert or Candice Owens to run the country as he says, while he goes on a 4 year revenge tour de force.

6
GoUSA 6 points ago +6 / -0

Putting a woman in position of president is absolutely fucking ridiculous. They'll do a great job in their various support leadership roles, but simping to please social media dopamine addicts is asinine. The overwhelming statistical lack of success for female CEOs gives a small window into what could happen to an entire nation.

1
SpellingContable 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump deserves to have his glorious return to power and take revenge on everybody who wronged him.

( to run the country as he says ) So clearly I was not saying make someone else President to Trump being VP. A loyal inteligent woman is a great subject. No disrespect to you and your husband

2
Phoenixrwds 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hell fucking no, we don't need Boebert having a larger platform to go on an apology tour like she did when she apologized to that America hating, brother fucking, somali terrorist omar

The single biggest reason to prefer Trump to DeSantis is that we have absolutely no idea what a DeSantis foreign policy would look like.

We have no idea.

Is he a John McCain/Lindsay Graham-style warmonger?

Or a Clinton-Obama type warmonger?

And that's why I feel much better about Trump even though DeSantis has done an exceptional job at domestic policy.

14
WisestGuru93 14 points ago +14 / -0

Also, the fact that second term Trump doesn't have election worries.

Even if someone likes DeSantis better, first term DeSantis cannot be compared to second term unleashed Trump.

6
go2marakesh 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yes, this is what gives me pause.

However, Trump needs to take one thing from De Santis - go after the government bureaucracy itself. He was beyond naive in his first term, that has to end. Gut the FBI, the IRS, purge every agency of political hacks without regard of media whining.

3
cyberwar 3 points ago +4 / -1

he has a track record as a congressman as a neocon warmonger

1
ceremony_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's what I was worried about.

1
DontApologize 1 point ago +2 / -1

I prefer DeSantis because he knows how to deal with snakes and does so in Florida all the time. But hopefully Trump can get some political insiders to show him the ropes.

Foreign Policy? Really? Thats not a difference maker. DeSantis won't launch us into wars any more then Biden would. LOL

3
ceremony_ 3 points ago +3 / -0

Foreign Policy is the first snake that is killing us (and the MIC).

Culture Wars are the second snake that is killing us (and the Left).

Finally, banks are the third snake (and the Federal Reserve).

If we get rid of all three, and only if we get rid of all three, will Americans be free again.

1
SmugFrog 1 point ago +2 / -1

Exactly. There's lots of low IQ DeSantis Derangement Syndrome sufferers on here...

I don't trust people who throw around words like 'neocon' and 'warmonger' and use it to describe anyone who doesn't pursue a foreign policy of appeasement and believes the US is evil and must capitulate to its foreign enemies.

They're either shills for foreign governments like China's or Russia's, tankies, or follow some weird, cultish, anti-American ideology like NazBols.

3
I_Used_to_be_me 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup, plus desantis is still more valuable in Florida for us. Not just because of the work he’s doing there, but because he serves as a leader to other governors and local politicians, and local politics on many levels is more important and will affect your life more. He can lead the way and show others how to do things in their own state by continuing to be successful himself in Florida. And the more successful he is, with poll numbers reflecting it, the more likely it is others follow suit.

Doesn’t mean he can’t or should run after 2024, but for now he is more valuable doing what he’s been doing in Florida, and it makes more sense given we still have Trump to run as president and desantis is plenty young enough to wait another term before running.

DeSantis is a facsimile - intentional and precise. He clearly recognized how effective Trumpian style was and he clearly recognized he could do that too. I don't mistrust him for that. Looks like Kari Lake is also in that club and i Love all of their attitudes. It's just that i understand they are playing a part where Trump is being Trump !!! just "maybe" it's as real as Trump - hopefully it is.

18
sum_ting_wong 18 points ago +21 / -3

I want to like DeSantis. Some days I think he is a Two-Eye Crenshaw. Other days I have hope that he will round-out and be viable by 2028. (Edit: I'm much more certain that Lake is the real-deal, btw)

20
ObongoForPrison2020 20 points ago +24 / -4

DeSantis has flexed his authority at the state level harder than Trump ever did at the national level. DeSantis also understood the COVID scam far sooner than Trump and was very vocal about it.

17
ebuy123 17 points ago +17 / -0

keep in mind, a governor has much more power over a state than a president does over a country. there are literally zero intelligence agencies, justice departments, corrupt judges blocking, attacking and thwarting everything a governor does. governors have almost no resistance, they can operate with wide authority.

TRUMP's FBI screwed with him, leaked his memos, lied to him, the DOJ actually gets to review every executive order or memo the president issues to decide if it's lawful or not. even TRUMP's NSC ignored his Ukraine policy and did their own thing (vinman).

TRUMP has vowed to destroy the corrupt federal government policymakers with Schedule F and whatever it takes. desantis is a great manager of Florida. he hasn't given any indication he'd destroy the corruption in the federal government and he isn't even vocally supporting TRUMP after the raid. once TRUMP cleans out the corruption, a manager like Desantis can run things, but not until then.

12
KekistaniMemeLord 12 points ago +12 / -0

Its bizarre as hell and seems like it was an effort to divide maga that were even talking about it. DeSantis hasn't even expressed any intention to run and Trump WON 2020 and had it stolen from him. Weird that people got swayed by this crap at all, it was always going to be Trump. Hope they understand it always should of been him for 2024 regardless of this raid.

2
DontApologize 2 points ago +2 / -0

DeSantis knows he is dealing with snakes and knows how to kill them. Trump pussyfoots around and made "deals" giving them what they want..

1
ObongoForPrison2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump got played for the near entirety of 2020. The last great Trump moment was when he triggered the left so hard that Crazy Nancy tore up her copy of the SOTU. It was all downhill from there.

1

No one’s perfect and does everything exactly the way everyone else perceives to be right.

It’s my opinion that no one else comes close to Trump in meeting this expectation

It should be going on right now.

Trump is needed for 2024, he will show them the fully unbridled way to move forward. Under his Presidency he will embolden his political base to act in his image. This will help fortify their resolve whilst under the the protection of his wings.

They raided Trump in FLORIDA and DeSantis has barely said anything.

This raid happening in his State made me look at DeSantis a little weird.

13

Barely said anything is an understatement. He put out that single boiler-plate tweet and has completely avoided the media the entire week.

5

4

3
NotMyGovernor 3 points ago +7 / -4

When are people gonna figure when they’re Desantis NPC’ed?

The same shit they pull on the left they do here.

5
rebuildingMyself 5 points ago +6 / -1

DeSantis shills are all over what is left of the right-leaning subs on reddit. Especially when Trump's name is mentioned.

-5
NotMyGovernor -5 points ago +4 / -9

Another indicator Desantis dick sucking is a right side psyop to divide. At this point he’s actually worse than Tulsi Gabbard. TD knows to attack her on the spot.

10
magayd45 10 points ago +10 / -0

how could anyone like desantis more than trump

8
rebuildingMyself 8 points ago +9 / -1

TDS is a helluva drug. And some people are such pussies they say things like "Trump is great but I hate how he was demonized and would rather try someone new". Not that it would matter because if the next person was a populist/outsider of any kind they'd get the exact same shill treatment from the Establishment and its tentacles within social media, MSM, etc.

4
I_Used_to_be_me 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yup this is exactly it. It’s the people that had to couch every opinion they’ve stated since 2015 with something like “look, I don’t like Trump’s personality either, but…” or “yeah I don’t like his character, but…” as if they agreed with him on everything but hated him personally (even though they didn’t, they just lived in fear of others’ judgement if they stated they supported/liked trump without giving some qualifier acknowledging that they agreed with the left’s perception of him on some level).

It’s a cop out and a hedge to for the acceptance of people you shouldn’t even care about.

4
EvolutionIsFake 4 points ago +4 / -0

And the thing is, I personally believe there is NO one else currently in the field that would be capable of handling the Trump treatment.

Trump spent his entire life (and for many of these faggots, that's literally two of their lifetimes) preparing and practicing, and he's a 100% proven Alpha Big Daddy Boss capable of handling even the most brutal attacks he received during his term (and after).

Other's would have crumbled like cookie crumbs long ago. Trump is the man, and everyone knows it.

8
ERastus 8 points ago +12 / -4

8
odyseuss 8 points ago +8 / -0

We have to choose Trump over Desantis for one reason. Trump doesn't have to run for reelection. He can go scorched earth over the swamp from day one.

7
youknowthething76 7 points ago +7 / -0

DeSantis is like a mini Trump, never gonna be the real thing but he might be good

-4
NotMyGovernor -4 points ago +5 / -9

No he isn’t. Complete opposite really. He’s really a stooge full regular republican barely not a rino.

1
EvolutionIsFake 1 point ago +1 / -0

I consider him "just a Republican". Perhaps, under Trump, he will grow.

Normal Republicans do the things DeSantis does, such as oppose forcing children to wear masks, oppose pedos, oppose communists, oppose normalizing Trannys, opposing mandated individual support of Trannys...

The thing is, most other alleged Republicans have become so weak, that they won't stand up for these common sense things and fight.

It's part of the reason that I believe our leader needs to create a MAGA party and recommend the destruction of the Republican party.

It's time for a replacement.

6
MAGAsJustBegun 6 points ago +6 / -0

Trump > Ron all day long.

Besides, Ron is on a roll in FL, but still has much to do!

Let FL keep him for another few years first to solidify his work!

But... sorry Floridians, I can't say I'd be even slightly opposed to a Don Ron 24 ticket! Don being Donald Trump, not Jr of course.

Jr seems like a good guy, but the truth is nobody else in the Trump family are just like their father.

Donald Trump is something else entirely. Dude is and was a G his whole life.

2
EvolutionIsFake 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think Jr could have a career in politics, but he'd first need to prove himself by convincing the state of NY to vote for him as Governor.

Unless I'm wrong, Jr doesn't have the ability with people to create this possibility. He's got a loud mouth, but he doesn't have what it takes, yet... Things could change 20 years from now.

We will see.

6
DonttrustChina 6 points ago +6 / -0

There are a number of reasons why it has to be Trump 2024.

1: Age. If we run them in the right order, we can potentially get 12 years of MAGA with proven guys who are unlikely to fuck us. But that only works if Trump runs first. If he's even alive a decade from now, which is no guarantee, he won't be up to it. Guy pushing 90? No way. His current age is pushing it and probably only viable because Biden's even older and visibly much less sharp.

2: Trump is chaos and DeSantis is order. Trump is the "you're fired" guy, he's who you bring in to burn everything down. DeSantis is the guy who can build it back up. Order of operations.

3: Revenge and simple justice. He won. He was cheated. He has to get that second term, period, and frankly I don't think we would fully trust anybody who got the nomination over Trump to have gotten it legitimately, which would sow discord going into the general, which is what the left wants.

4: Trump doesn't have to worry about reelection, which means he can do anything that won't make enough Republican senators willing to sudoku their political careers to remove him, he'll be almost totally uncontrollable by the deep state, and since he can't serve another term anyway, he can tank all the pissing off centrists himself, DeSantis can cluck cluck a little that he's going too far with a wink and a nudge, and then it'll be so normalized that DeSantis can run and govern at like 90% of that crazy and seem "moderate compared to Trump".

5
Bloodylouver 5 points ago +8 / -3

i'll NEVER take the Desantis cock like so many

5
PatrioticPhantasma 5 points ago +5 / -0

It has always been Trump as the only choice. Do not attempt to pit them against one another. They fight for the same cause.

4
BlueEyedDevil 4 points ago +4 / -0

DeSantis can wait.

4
Micio 4 points ago +4 / -0

Plus we need strong governors to protect our states against the federal government. Ron needs to complete a second term.

4
daty_dato 4 points ago +4 / -0

Look maga guys that prefer DeSantis because of the personalities, are turning back to Trump. They want Trump to blow that shit up.

4
libertyvsdeath 4 points ago +4 / -0

If he's not the nominee the next president will be a Democrat. I'm not saying they won't cheat again anyway or blow the whole thing up before then, I'm just saying that first sentence. Like it or not. It isn't my favorite thing that we've come to this point, but.

4
Niqlndym 4 points ago +5 / -1

Trump became the person you know by facing constant abuse. He’d be perceived differently, if he didn’t have to counterpunch constantly. DeSantis has not even come close to facing the persecution that Trump has been living for years. So it’s hard to know how “likable” he’ll be when he becomes president, and the temperature turns up. Personally, I could care less about “beside manor”.

1
EvolutionIsFake 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump is the only man capable of facing what he did and still stand strong and fight back and grow stronger.

Then takes over for the Congress person in his district. Then becomes speaker of the House when we take back the Senate and the House. HAHAHHAA. Step and repeat the following elections and be the king maker till he dies or puts Barron into office.

3
weAreStillHere 3 points ago +4 / -1

Trump has the momentum and most of all the support. I like a Trump/DeSantis ticket.

The stupidest thing you could do is primary Trump against DeSantis. They will both be knocking each other down, providing ammunition for the dem who runs against the winner, and you will be splitting our base between the two.

You want these two to be building each other up. You want them to both be winners. You want our base united.

The outcome of that is also the best scenario. We could have 4 years of Trump/DeSantis and then 8 years of DeSantis.

Also, if Trump wanted to step down after mid-term, he could do that and let DeSantis take it from there and DeSantis could still have two more terms after that.

3
Wordlife187 3 points ago +3 / -0

DeSantis already said if Trump runs, he won't.

1
weAreStillHere 1 point ago +1 / -0

Does that mean he wouldn't run as the VP, either?

I still like a Trump/DeSantis ticket. I believe Trump's support dwarfs DeSantis's support right now. But DeSantis has a quite a lot of support. If you had all of that enthusiasm combined together it would be hard to beat.

But if DeSantis is going to be out of the presidential picture if Trump decides to run, then it sounds like it's all settled. It's all up to Trump on whether he decides to run or not. Does that sound right?

2
PatrickHangry 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly this.

3
DoomerBoyo 3 points ago +6 / -3

I don't agree with the fact that we need to get revenge. We need to get to the bottom of what the fuck is going on in this country and in our doj and fbi.

Revenge is fucked because 4-8 years later they'll get in and take revenge on whatever revenge we achieve. It is dangerous and stupid to seek revenge.

But generally I agree the iron price is due and desantis just ain't it.

3
Wordlife187 3 points ago +4 / -1

No, we need revenge. Plain and simple. They've done all of this to us, time to turn the tables.

"OH NO, THEY'LL USE OUR REVENGE TACTICS AGAINST US, MIGHT AS QELL PUT OUR HEADS IN THE SAND THE ASSES IN THE AIR SO THEY CAN KEEP FUCKING US RAW"

Fuck outta here little fag boi. You Mittens backsliding piece of useless shit.

3
KekistaniMemeLord 3 points ago +4 / -1

yea not the right word to use. It will be justice, not revenge.

3
FreedomFromGovt 3 points ago +3 / -0

3

2
EvolutionIsFake 2 points ago +2 / -0

If all the states had DeSantis as Governor, we'd have a Convention of States, new amendments, and we would literally solve all of our current pressing problems.

2

Plus you need somebody that is pissed off against the system that tried to ruin him and his family. DeSantis may be based but he isnt pissed.

Trump issue is that he sucks at inside the beltway politics - so I think DeSantis would be better as he understands the game. Trump is so naive - even to this day.

But sure Trump will be the candidate - I hope he brings back guys like Bannon and cleans house if he can win. I don't know if can win though - as he let Dems create a phony pandemic that allows them to use fraud to pick the President.

1
TheWhitestOfFangs 1 point ago +1 / -0

DeSantis could very much turn out a neocon, who is more than willing to play with the deep state in starting wars and global conflicts.

Barnes was also mentioned that some if the people who surround him are "deep state hacks", which only adds to my suspicion.
