Rules are different for Republicans and Demonicrats, so in this case they will let us know what the rules are after they retroactively change it.

you have to convict the person before you ask what the charge is.

There is a former police officer who gives "motivational speeches" to schools in western Canada. In one part of his talk, he stands in front of the student body and holds up a book, a copy of some of the laws of Canada. He then states that he can go through the entire student body and find some law that each person has broken. He says this to scare the students into being good. It is the essence of tyranny. Every person in society is a criminal and is only free because the government allows them to be (in this case by not prosecuting minor infractions).

Yes, but as far as the accuracy of this post: no, you don't need a separate warrant to seize a passport.

The warrant --- and yes, I know the whole thing is bullshit -- allowed them to take Any physical documents with classification markings, along with any containers/boxes (including other contents) in which such documents are located, as well as any other containers/boxes that are collectively stored or found together with the aforementioned documents or boxes

So if the passports were in a container or box (arguably: a drawer) near the boxes they can say had any classification markings, then they can take the passports.

It's bullshit wordplay, but that's why a lot of people hate lawyers and ridiculous "law-speak". It makes things that are clearly wrong okay and vice versa. "Melania's closet was 50 yards from this secret box, therefore it's in the vicinity and we can search it."

5
zipodk 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well you would justify that search by the fact you're looking for documents, and documents can fit anywhere. It's largely about the size of things -- if you're looking for a stolen TV, and your warrant says 55" Samsung TV, you find a TV, you're done -- or you don't find it, but you can't look in drawers where a TV can't fit. So often they will say TV "and remote", or, TV and burglary tools (e.g., screwdriver), now you can look everywhere.

Yes it's wordplay but it's not hocus-pocus it's just the game.

SquiggyMcPepe 4 points ago +5 / -1

This is them ensuring Trump can't easily leave the country without them openly revoking his passports and adding to the incredibly bad optics. They will tie this shit up for ages. "Oh sorry its some blameless snafu holding things up! Trust us!"

6
Qwikphaze 6 points ago +6 / -0

How do you know they were not inserted in the box during the raid. No one was there watching them.

6
zipodk 6 points ago +6 / -0

I just told you what grounds they can say they have. I can't answer all or any imaginary scenarios.

3
Rudy_DankMemer 3 points ago +3 / -0

No one was there watching them.

Rewinds the tape again, laughs in 2 more weeks.

4
mugatucrazypills 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah you can just take the identity documents of the former head of state of the United States of America because it's near some bullshit you're fishing for ?

Secure in person's and papers and warrants probable cause. It's the thing you should least be allowed to take.

3
zipodk 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm not saying how it should be I'm saying how it is

1
newrandomperson 1 point ago +1 / -0

As a lawyer, do you think you could get a search warrant this general by a judge?

0
Badfinz_FL 0 points ago +1 / -1

source - you are a bad attorney and I would not spend a cent to retain you

No. the passports are a different level of legal issue. any "attorney" would know this

that is why they were returned to President Trump

They're counting them as presidential records. You cant seize someone's passport and bar them from leaving the country without an arrest and specific court order.

Globohomo Oil Corp VP likes to send out social justice statements on the internal social media system and I usually don't say anything. Roe gets overturned, she has to pipe up, this time it's over the line for me. I called abortion murder in the reply section, other employees told me that language is hurtful, I double down. Next day I get called in and all 3 of my bosses are sitting there and the head one tells me that I violated the harassment policy because somebody's feels were hurt and would I like to rephrase my comments. I said no because that wouldn't be my true viewpoint and you shouldn't have a free speech platform if only approved speech is allowed and the company shouldn't even be talking about social issues in the first place. I told them I was happy with what I wrote and I would do it again. He didn't have a response because that wasn't in the script that HR gave him. So basically I have a warning in my file, but I just got a new job doing the same thing at a smaller company closer to home and with more professional people and I'm about to tell Globohomo Corp I quit in the next 2 days. 🤣

TaxDollarsHardAtWork 9 points ago +9 / -0

Like we've known for a while, the DOJ and it's FBI are rogue agencies that are acting completely outside of the law.

Being a "law enforcement" agency does not give them the ability to break the law at will.

This is out of control.

8
RedFoxOnFire 8 points ago +8 / -0

They're going to use his current and old passports to backdate flight logs on Epstein island.

7
IvIA6A 7 points ago +7 / -0

Even a liberal judge likely wouldn't have signed off on that. They took everything because they were fishing for J6 stuff which doesn't exist.

7
Stolen 7 points ago +7 / -0

No one is above the law, except us at the DoJ, FBI, and Epstein Client list.

4
MagaMagaChooChoo 4 points ago +5 / -1

Box A-17 was one of the things itemized. Since they are looking to proclaim victory they should reach out to Newsweek and disclose the contents of box A-17. G.Maxwell certainly thought A-17 was important.

2
keeponwinning 2 points ago +2 / -0

The warrants said everything else in a box that a warrant target item is in, so unless he was storing his passports in boxes in storage...

2
Voteordie 2 points ago +3 / -1

Do we have confirmation they were taken (listed as items taken by the FBI in their evidence report which is available to trumps lawyers) Entirely possible they were lost in the shuffle. Also, why does he have 3 and only 1 is expired?

2
schiff_for_brains 2 points ago +2 / -0

He likely has a regular and a brown diplomatic passport.

2
PatriotLady1 2 points ago +2 / -0

**can anyone say PILFERED??? ** 🔥😡🔥

2
Sniper061 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think this was planned. Specifically as a way to legally kill the entire raid. That way there is no follow up and no actual indictment. However they can still use the raid for the next couple of years. "Remember how they raided Trump and were going to press charges?" "Yeah man, too bad they botched it or else he would be in jail right now."

2
ChynahIzAzzhole 2 points ago +2 / -0

And where are the good judges? The good politicians? If you scumbag mthrfkrs are good with this overreach you on their side.

2

2
donaldlives 2 points ago +2 / -0

The FBI are terrorists. The left has become totalitarian and corrupt, they cheer on police abuse and believe in guilty until proven innocent communist insanity. They are not embracing American principles, they embrace the principles of those who hate Americans. Prepare.

1

Doesn't matter they will get a bonus for doing that

1
boomerbutnotOKBoomer 1 point ago +1 / -0

that may have been the straw that broke the camels back. Some people who weren't paying attention suddenly went, 'WAIT, WHAT?" And notice the passports got returned in a hurry.

More specically they know, but are choosing to be Stazi pigs.

1

yeah, I've pictured this in my mind more than I care to share

1
Midgeba 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is (D)ifferent. They're kid-fuckers.

1
TLDC 1 point ago +1 / -0

They took the passports and privileged information on purpose, so Trump could easily escape prosecution and they could declare it was a legal technicality and paint him as guilty in the press.

1
peltast 1 point ago +1 / -0

IOW the FBI is busted for being crooked or for being incompetent.

1
AgamemnonContingency 1 point ago +1 / -0

They had a sworn itemized receipt to the court that didn't say passports on it. They either lied to the court, or didn't search the documents despite 30 agents on ground. How was anything they took "responsive" if they didn't even look at it? And if they lied about those on the receipt, how can you trust anything they say they took?

1
Tommyjet 1 point ago +1 / -0

They make it sound like someone in the Fag BI gives a shit about the rules.

1
Shockthemonkey 1 point ago +1 / -0

They don't care about rules, those are only words on paper. They make the rules on the fly. Sheep and normies don't care until it is too late. Trump is just an obstacle in the way to get to us. 87,000 Storm Trooper IRS agents are ready to decend upon the middle class. Biden's Winter of Darkness and Death is upon us.
