99% the reason why Dems wanted to tear down Civil War statues.

BoogieNight 40 points ago +40 / -0

They're hiding their own slave owner history. There was no party flipping, it's a hoax. Of the 200+ dixiecrats, only 2 ever "flipped". The parties never swapped banners, its a ridiculous lie. The hoax began in 1960 and continues by a few radical left professors. The left hangs on to this hoax because they can't deal with looking into the truth. So they vote to hide their history instead.

One of the most outrageous moments happened during the BLM riots of 2020, where democrats torn down a civil war statue, put a rope around its neck and hung it over telephone pole wire. The caption should have read, "The world begs to know, when will democrats finally stop lynching and hanging people?"

I have a coworker who believes in 'muh party switch'. I've tried to make good arguments as to why they're a dumbass but to no avail. Any advice or pointers I could use?

Tr0mp 6 points ago +6 / -0

i have friends who were taught about the party switch in grade school.

BoogieNight 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yea look up the documentary Dinesh D'souza made on the topic. Same genius to created 2000 mules. Watch this interview where he goes into more details and surprisingly has a decent interview with Larry King. He systematically dismantles all the common lies and the name of the documentary is mentioned too.

Edit: at 3:30 the question comes up. The whole interview is a good watch though. Especially if you want to be ready the next time this hoax is mentioned. Everyone needs to speak up about this. They can't keep dodging accountability for their crimes and disgustingly attempt to blame on the party who did the real liberating.

Thanks for this!

Dems are the party of hoaxes: from climate to fracking.

If there was a party switch, where is the acknowledgement from the Dems? One would expect the Dems would memorialize the date when they apologized for slavery, the Civil War, Jim Crow, and the KKK. But, they did none of that. The parties did switch, the black voters did.

pikX 3 points ago +3 / -0

it's also why they dumb it down to a war on slavery, when that was one tiny part (well, not exactly tiny, keeping people as slaves wasn't the big point of contention, it was the economic effects that resulted of that) of the many reasons the war happened in the first place.

DJTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

The real war happened because with intense westward expansion and exploration west of the Mississippi, Northerners and Southerners who were usually always kept separate, were mixing in these new pop up towns. The demonrats of course brought their slaves with them, and the northerners were of course appalled. This eventually led to skirmishes breaking out. The Civil War finally came home to the original states as the westward skirmishes escalated. So yes, the Civil War was mainly over slavery, where many a republican fought against demonrats for equal rights for all. The democrat party should of been disbanded tbh.

TL;DR - Westward expansion made it so that the question of slavery couldn't be like a can getting kicked down the road anymore.

pikX 1 point ago +1 / -0

ok, fair enough. sometimes you just dont think clearly when you know for a fact it isnt like the retards say it is when they super overgeneralize it to a battle of good vs evil for slavery and nothing else.

A history lesson on Klansmen. It's what demoKKKrat impostors like to attempt to call Republicans today, but they are revising history because they are frauds.

DemoKKKrats not only lynched blacks, but they lynched white Republicans as well.

The KKK was founded and created in Pulaski, Tennessee, by Confederate veterans and DemoKKKrat Party loyalists: Frank McCord, Richard Reed, John Lester, John Kennedy, J. Calvin Jones and James Crowe. All registered demoKKKrats. Not the party of Abraham Lincoln.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was a lieutenant general in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. He was a leading Southern advocate in the postwar years. He was a pledged delegate from Tennessee to the New York DemoKKKratic National Convention of 4 July 1868. He served as the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan which would later mentor Joe Biden over a century later.

According to History.com: "The KKK engaged in terrorist raids against African Americans and white Republicans at night, employing intimidation, destruction of property, assault, and murder to achieve its aims and influence upcoming elections."

The Ku Klux Klan aimed to influence elections AGAINST the Republican party. The KKK was a political tool used by DemoKKKrats to help the DemoKKKratic Party win elections.

Only 69% of DemoKKKrats in the Senate voted for the Civil Rights Act, while 82% of Republican Senators voted for it. Hillary Clinton's mentor, Robert Byrd, filibustered against it.

Jim Crow laws were passed by Democrat legislators. The Reconstruction era ended with a compromise in 1877 when Republicans agreed to pull out troops from the Democrat controlled South, which considered itself the “party of the white man.” Democrats began to reassert white supremacy by passing laws that infringed upon the rights of blacks and enforced strict segregation. This was their way of countering the 1875 Civil Rights Act which was passed by REPUBLICANS. Also, noteworthy, is that several BLACK REPUBLICANS were elected to Congress at that time. The early great black leaders were strong black Republicans such as Frederick Douglas.

DemoKKKrats locked up Martin Luther King Jr. in Birmingham.

Dr. Alveda C. King: “My grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr., or ‘Daddy King’,was a Republican and father of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who was a Republican.”

DemoKKKrats claim the parties switched in the 1960's. This is not true.

DemoKKKrats such as Joe Biden supported segregation and did not want to bus black children to mostly white schools. Hillary Clinton called a former KKK Leader her "mentor." Bill Clinton called former segregationist J. William Fulbright his mentor. three of the last four DemoKKKrat candidates for President either support segregation or were mentored by mentors who did. And even Hussein Obama has slave owning ancestors and made more black Americans enslaved to government welfare during his administration, lowered median black household income, and impoverished millions of black Americans who were unable to prosper during his administration.

DemoKKKrats are tearing down the statues of Republican Abolitionists and trying to tear down and erase evidence of the racists in their own political party.

The last two demoKKKrat candidates for President admitted they were Protégés of a KKK Leader.

DemoKKKrat Robert Byrd admitted that he started a Klan chapter in the 1940s, drawing in 150 members to the Klan, and attained the position of "Exalted Cyclops". "Today our country has lost a true American original, my friend and mentor Robert C. Byrd." -Hillary Clinton 2010

Byrd, the second-ranking DemoKKKrat in the Senate from 1971 to 1976 and the DemoKKKrat leader from 1977 to 1988, wrote as a young man in 1945 to segregationist Mississippi senator Theodore Bilbo that Byrd would never fight in the armed forces “with a Negr0 by my side.” He remained a demoKKKrat until 2010 when the old racist demoKKKrat finally died.

Rather I should die a thousand times, and see old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels.” - DemoKKKrat Robert Byrd, Biden's mentor Joe Biden eulogized Byrd, too, as “a dear friend . . . a mentor . . . and a guide” whom he “revered” and also as the “most fierce defender of not only the state, but the way of life” of West Virginia.

Joe Biden argued that “the DemoKKKrat Party could stand a liberal George Wallace — someone who’s not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn’t pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right.” Wallace, who was then gearing up to run for president again in 1976, was known for his breakaway Dixiecrat campaign in 1968 and his mantra of “Segregation now, segregation forever!”

Joe Biden went on to try to maintain segregated busing and to lock up as many black men as possible to life sentences in prison with a 3 strikes rule.

Of the 26 known Dixiecrats (5 governors and 21 senators) only three ever became Republicans: Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms and Mills E. Godwind, Jr. The segregationists in the Senate, on the other hand, would return to their DemoKKKrat party and fight against the Civil Rights acts of 1957, 1960 and 1964. Republican President Dwight Eisenhower proffered the first two Acts." The political parties NEVER switched.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 A larger percentage of House Republicans than House DemoKKKrats voted for it:

DemoKKKrat Party: 153–91 (63%)

Republican Party: 136–35 (80%)

DemoKKKrats Who Founded The Ku Klux Klan

DemoKKKrat Frank McCord,

DemoKKKrat Richard Reed,

DemoKKKrat John Lester,

DemoKKKrat John Kennedy,

DemoKKKrat J. Calvin Jones and

DemoKKKrat James Crowe

demoKKKrat Nathan Bedford Forrest was the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and spoke at the New York Democratic National Convention of 4 July 1868.The torch has been passed on to new Protégés Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden

DemoKKKrat Margaret Sanger - racist white Eugenicist that founded Planned Parenthood. She called black people "weeds among the flowers" along with other racist comments justifying her abortion program. Abortion was marketed as an eugenics program to cull black Americans. Funny that 90% of them vote demoKKKrat for the party of their slavemasters.

its the first hoax of many

Fine_Kentucky_Jenkum 15 points ago +15 / -0

While I assume some of your points are true, the ones about Nathan Bedford Forrest are not. After the war, he was a strong proponent of racial equality between whites and blacks, an unpopular opinion across the US at the time. Below is an account of him speaking to the all-black Pole-Bearers of Memphis in 1875:

“Forrest’s speech to the Independent Order of Pole-Bearers Association July 5, 1875.

A convention and BBQ was held by the Independent Order of Pole-Bearers Association at the fairgrounds of Memphis, five miles east of the city. An invitation to speak was conveyed to General Nathan Bedford Forrest, one of the city’s most prominent citizens, and one of the foremost cavalry commanders in the late War Between the States. This was the first invitation granted to a white man to speak at this gathering. The invitation’s purpose, one of the leaders said, was to extend peace, joy, and union, and following a brief welcoming address a Miss Lou Lewis, daughter of an officer of the Pole-Bearers, brought forward flowers and assurances that she conveyed them as a token of good will. After Miss Lewis handed him the flowers, General Forrest responded with a short speech that, in the contemporary pages of the Memphis Appeal, evinces Forrest’s racial open-mindedness that seemed to have been growing in him.

“Ladies and Gentlemen I accept the flowers as a memento of reconciliation between the white and colored races of the southern states. I accept it more particularly as it comes from a colored lady, for if there is any one on God’s earth who loves the ladies I believe it is myself. ( Immense applause and laughter.) I came here with the jeers of some white people, who think that I am doing wrong. I believe I can exert some influence, and do much to assist the people in strengthening fraternal relations, and shall do all in my power to elevate every man to depress none. (Applause.) I want to elevate you to take positions in law offices, in stores, on farms, and wherever you are capable of going. I have not said anything about politics today. I don’t propose to say anything about politics. You have a right to elect whom you please; vote for the man you think best, and I think, when that is done, you and I are freemen. Do as you consider right and honest in electing men for office. I did not come here to make you a long speech, although invited to do so by you. I am not much of a speaker, and my business prevented me from preparing myself. I came to meet you as friends, and welcome you to the white people. I want you to come nearer to us. When I can serve you I will do so. We have but one flag, one country; let us stand together. We may differ in color, but not in sentiment Many things have been said about me which are wrong, and which white and black persons here, who stood by me through the war, can contradict. Go to work, be industrious, live honestly and act truly, and when you are oppressed I’ll come to your relief. I thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for this opportunity you have afforded me to be with you, and to assure you that I am with you in heart and in hand.” (Prolonged applause.)

Whereupon N. B. Forrest again thanked Miss Lewis for the bouquet and then gave her a kiss on the cheek. Such a kiss was unheard of in the society of those days, in 1875, but it showed a token of respect and friendship between the general and the black community and did much to promote harmony among the citizens of Memphis.”

"Bust Hell Wide Open" is one of the most enlightening books anyone will ever read on the subject of the Civil War, slavery and reconstruction.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was an amazing man who fought like Hell for the south then fought equally hard for the peace.

And dont forget, Margaret Sanger gave speeches at KKK gatherings.

And of course, KKK Leader (Gran Klegle) Robert Byrd was a Democrat Senator until 2010.

Joe Biden called Robert Byrd a "friend and mentor" and gave the eulogy at his funeral.

Many Democrats will claim that Robert Byrd gave up his racist ways late in life, so its fine that he was previously a KKK leader (Although, I doubt they would ever be willing to overlook KKK membership if the person were a Republican).

Oh, and as for having "changed", and given up his racist ways? Thats doubtful, too, Robert Byrd, in a videotaped and broadcast interview on FOX news, used the N-word repeatedly in 2010. Not one Democrat complained.

It if weren't for double standards, Democrats would have no standards at all.

You could even just forget about slavery and focus on the fact that black people saying they are republican has had the same reaction ever since they were freed. All those lynching's happened because of that.

Basing a community or identity on skin tone (i.e. the Democrat Party way) will always lead to division.
