Saying an organization is a piece of shit and should be eradicated is not violence. I don’t buy the FBI crying that “the people are being mean to us” is violence. They fucked up and have sucked forever. They deserve to be destroyed as a bureau.

Also keep in mind, the state owns a monopoly on violence. Even calling for an ARREST is a call for violence. Making ANYTHING mandatory is calling for violence against those who don't comply. All laws are enforced at the end of a gun

4
invalid_data 4 points ago +4 / -0

See the problem is which I feel Torba is failing to recognize is we are fighting a side that has no morality. They have no problem lying. They have zero problem changing the definition of "violence" to be whatever the hell they want it to be to enact pain and suffering on us and their enemies. This is a tyrannical regime we are dealing with and playing by the rules will ultimately be the demise by our side.

3
akira2501 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's not what this is about at all.

This is part of the false flag operation. They have to "warn" all the operators to "keep it down" on their sites.

Now the FBI paid goons come onto the sites and "turn up the heat."

This "creates context" that they can use to initiate legal action against the site and it' susers.

They don't care about violence directed at the FBI (see: Whitmer kidnapping case), they just want an excuse to shut down the places where their opposition can gather and communicate.

Yes. A threat has always required a specific target and a specific action (generally implied to be from yourself).

Somewhat more loosely, it can't contain obvious signs of humor that would indicate it was in jest/satire. There's not really any hard and fast rules on what qualifies as the latter in minecraft.

102
diogenesofthearch 102 points ago +103 / -1

You need to remember, the DOJ's cadre of blue haired judges are insufferable cunts that do not understand humor

47
Isolated_Patriot 47 points ago +47 / -0

Hence the "more loosely" part.

It didn't used to be loose at all. If there was ANY reasonable doubt about it being a threat, it was not punishable at all. Back when we had a justice system.

In fact a threat was never "punishable" in the first place, it was only reasonable cause for investigation. But now the process is the punishment, and thoughts are the crime.

User_X 22 points ago +22 / -0

Actually, 'making terroristic threats' is a crime unto itself, with stiff penalties.

25
Cyer6 25 points ago +25 / -0

Yes. Last night Tucker spent some time talking about a guy who was arrested and charged with voter fraud by the FBI. He faces 10 years in prison. What did he do? He posted on twitter that dem voters may text their vote over the phone. It was done in jest and it likely played no role in affecting anyone's vote, at least what they can prove.

This guy didn't steal ballots, donate money that violates campaign donation laws, he didn't prevent anyone from going to the polls or intimidate them in any way. But this corrupt DOJ felt they could get this guy and make an example of him to others.

6
hello9383 6 points ago +24 / -18

his name was douglas mackey

fast facts:

  • he was arrested for a Twitter meme that I remember was very popular on the_donald (jokingly telling Hillary voters to text their vote)

  • "this is a grave felony" said a doj press release. "he conspired to subvert the election"

  • "he has committed vote theft" said asst fbi director william sweeney

  • "it's misinformation to defraud citizens of the right to vote" said us attorney who later approved fbi raid on mar a lago

over a fucking Twitter meme that everybody shared

when they were real efforts to rig the election by democrats. it's worth reminding you also that the official Democrat Party of north dakota in 2018 committed the same offense when they told and paid for Facebook ads telling Republican voters not to vote if they had a hunting license

the Democrat doj suspiciously ignored that one

first_amendment 5 points ago +6 / -1

"True threats" encompass those statements where the speaker means to communicate a serious expression of an intent to commit an act of unlawful violence to a particular individual or group of individuals. See Watts v. United States, supra, at 708 ("political hyberbole" is not a true threat); R. A. V. v. City of St. Paul, 505 U. S., at 388. The speaker need not actually intend to carry out the threat. Rather, a prohibition on true threats "protect[s] individuals from the fear of violence" and "from the disruption that fear engenders," in addition to protecting people "from the possibility that the threatened violence will occur." Ibid. Intimidation in the constitutionally proscribable sense of the word is a type of true threat, where a speaker directs a threat to a person or group of persons with the intent of placing the victim in fear of bodily harm or death. -Virginia v. Black, 538 U.S. 343 (2003)

MasklessMarvel 2 points ago +3 / -1

5
Bullseyed 5 points ago +5 / -0

Supposed to include a means to complete the task too.

If I say I'm going to blow you up with an RPG, I've given a target and action... but I don't have an RPG, so it isn't a threat.

13
Isolated_Patriot 13 points ago +13 / -0

They can still use that as an excuse to investigate you though, they just won't be able to charge you with anything. Not much of a scapegoat when the process/investigation is the punishment.

1
Euphemism 1 point ago +1 / -0

But then anything and everything can be an excuse so no one is really helping themselves playing by the other guys rules are they?

It is like not wanting to piss off the person trying to kill you. It makes all of no sense.

3
The_Bugout_Bag 3 points ago +3 / -0

FBI then raids your house and finds your "RPG" games. Your fuckin toast MF is all you hear while being thrown in the gulag.

2
MasklessMarvel 2 points ago +2 / -0

If I say I'm going to blow you up with an RPG, I've given a target and action... but I don't have an RPG, so it isn't a threat.

that would be sufficient to warrant an investigation into whether you can carry out your threat

no threat on social media provides tacit proof that the person is capable of doing something (idiots who post pictures of themself hold a weapon aside)

4
love_and_peace 4 points ago +4 / -0

Don't you have to be imminently capable of it too?

ACLU defended someone who was calling for a mob to hang black people. It was protected speech because no one had a noose and there wasn't a specific target. I just heard about it in the context of how absolute free speech is and don't remember the details, nor can find them because Google is deleting the internet.

12
Isolated_Patriot 12 points ago +12 / -0

To get the final conviction for "inciting violence" or whatever they go with, yes. They have to prove that you either had the means to carry out the threat, or that the mob/group you were telling to do it had the means.

But to get investigated, arrested, charged and have your life ruined by the FBI? No.

2
love_and_peace 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, but it seems like Torba is ceding ground by saying threats aren't protected at all. Everything else is true though.

7
Kricket 7 points ago +7 / -0

I don’t know if “ceding ground” is a fair characterization. I’d say it’s more like “they riddled that ground with land mines. They intend that ground to explode. Our people should not step on that ground.”

1
user365927285937 1 point ago +1 / -0

He stated it’s not protected by the first amendment- which is bullshit. It is- but Unconstitutional interpretations of that amendment make it illegal.

3
MasklessMarvel 3 points ago +3 / -0

The ACLU was right

it depends on if the target is placed in fear of their safety

all black people were not put in fear of their safety with that statement

A criminal threat occurs when a person threatens to kill or physically harm someone and that person is thereby placed in sustained fear for his/her safety or for the safety of his/her immediate family. The threat must be communicated, specific and unequivocal.

speech is communicating an idea "I think all joggers should be rounded up and shot," eg, is free speech

"let's go round up all joggers and shoot them" is not speech, it is a call to action

just like you can yell "fire" in a crowded theater if there is a fire or if no one reacts to it

but if they panic your are guilty of a crime because it becomes an act; it's not speech

1
Skabliggum2 1 point ago +1 / -0

That doesn't sound like the type of case the ACLU usually takes. Surprising

Garland’s DOJ threw a guy in federal prison for “vote theft” for tweeting in 2016 that people could vote for Hillary via text, even though the DOJ couldn’t prove that a single person was affected by his prank.

7
POTUS_DonnieJ 7 points ago +7 / -0

So if there is a post of a specific tranny doing a drag story hour for children, and someone posts that the tranny should be sent to the gallows, under your definition, that would be a threat of violence? Fucking BS.

7
Shroudedf8 7 points ago +7 / -0

Definitions are fluid these days it seems, but normally, no, that wouldn't be a threat. "I'm going to xxxxx that pedo" could be a threat. The more specific the threat, including manner and geographic proximity would increase the likelihood a threat might be investigated.

California is the best state and used to be very conservative but our dumb ass side let the commie fuck faces push them into the humid swamp states. Our side can't even stay to defend their own homes. Are they going to go to war with commies and take the country back by force? Doubtful. Our side still seems to think we can magically vote our way out of this even though commies just cheat. The truth is they need to be removed from their positions by FORCE but I'm not holding my breath.

It took decades to get to where we are and it will take decades to fix it.

The internet just amplifies everything.

Don’t despair, keep finding those people who have a good grasp on reality and keep pointing out the holes in the arguments.

Vote locally, because those matter the most, and remember that local government can protect us far better than regional or federal government can.

Find those constitutional sheriffs, and local candidates who support actual local parents and children, not “woke” national organizations.

This is going to have to start at the local level.

7
Bigfro 7 points ago +8 / -1

Exactly! This has been going on FOREVER! Know how they got to where they control everything? They raised kids on their ideology and sent them off to colleges to become doctors, lawyers, business leaders and other positions of power. This isnt fixed overnight, so crank out some kids, raise them with good core values that align with the world you envision and let them pave the way.

2
N900mixalot 2 points ago +3 / -1

All I am SAYING!!!!

It’s going to take more work that it did in the past, but the options are there we just need to grab onto them.

I appreciate President Trump because he has shown people what they need to do to fight. No matter what,we can do this, as long as we are willing to work for it.

Imagine letting him go through all of this hell and just throwing it away because shit ain’t fixed over night.

That’s what gets me about the doom and gloom posts, Trump never said this was going to be easy. People can’t expect it to be, nothing ever has been.

But he does say that when the truth is on your side, things always work out and come to light.

Let’s never forget that.

Unrelated point.. the Pony Express existed for a single year from 1860 to 1861. In the 1760s, the "Crown" itself ran the postal service... and they did effectively do this. They also fired Franklin because of his involvement with "anti-British" writings.

Also.. that's not where we're at. This place and Gab are the colonial equivalent to "taverns" and "guild halls." They're trying to shut down the bars, not your freedom of movement or association.. yet.

No. Taverns are taverns. This is a website. When the patriots of old gathered in a tavern, there wasn't an electronic record kept of everything they said and they didn't invite the British to sit at the next table and listen in.

They absolutely don't want anyone fighting back, this is correct. They want everyone to lay down and take it like a good slave girl. The idea that they want people to rise up so they can do x/y/z is nonsense. You can't do x/y/z if half the country has guns pointed at you and refuses you entry.

inb4 ur a fed glowie - you don't have to harm anyone to prevent entry in to your town, nor do you have to harm anyone to tell someone to turn around and go back the way they came.

they're only fucking our kids and dismantling our Republic.

This should be on everyone's mind before they tell anyone to just "hOlD tHe LiNe," with the addition of "they're only grooming our kids to mutilate themselves for the pleasure of the sexually perverse." They are quite literally grooming our children to hate us and kill us on command, and be so emotionally/psychologically broken that they only know how to do what they're told.

9
Deuteronomy7-2 9 points ago +9 / -0

Not to mention that if they wanted the appearance of some "uprising" so they can impose some bullshit martial law, they would just create one with some fed boys, as usual.

They do NOT want the People to rise up because that will be their undoing. They do want the People confused, disoriented, unorganized, and afraid to speak, let alone act.

Thank God there are plenty of real men on here that understand that.

Tell people to organize and protest outside, visibly? GLOWIE. Tell people to surround federal offices and make our voice heard? GLOWIE. What qualifies as "impotent violent threats" has been reduced like the word "racist" on this board to something so nonsensical that anything could qualify as long as it involves more than sitting on your couch posting memes and reciting the "hold the line" mantra.

If you're not willing to lay out your plan in advance to murder these people, making sure to use your full name and address, then obviously that means you will never protect your family at any time and at any place!!!" Embarrassing really.

FormerGraveheart 1 point ago +2 / -1

Mind you: while there is a need for violence eventually, there's no need for threats. Threats are useless: they just warn the target.

1
OIKOBOIKO 1 point ago +2 / -1

Maybe not as pacifist as you think. Threats just put your target and law enforcement on your back. Most threats are not followed up on. Read between the lines on what I mean.

Shills like MSNBC will make a post, amplify, take a screen shot and then run a BREAKING NEWS story

13

Exactly. I suspect a majority of the more extreme posts are feds, reporters, Act Blue, and other leftist agitators.

There may be a few misguided patriots in the mix, but all must be deported ruthlessly.

0
OKRancher 0 points ago +1 / -1

You don’t think violence is a possible solution? As in never? I’ll disagree with you if that’s your position.

I don’t think it’s extreme to notice our government is well into the process of a hostile, illegal takeover and have a desire to change that any way possible.

2
WinstonSmith1984 2 points ago +2 / -0

The advocation of any form of violence in a public forum is always a sign of stupidity, regardless of whether one thinks an act of violence would achieve a desired goal. Personally, I do not believe that, but it doesn't matter.

Anybody advocating for violence in a public forum is an agent-provocateur, a reporter or useful idiot looking for a narrative, or a retard who is too stupid and dangerous to help return our Republic to Constitutional rule. In all cases they should be deported from the forum

-1
user365927285937 -1 points ago +1 / -2

Nothing confuses the shills more than when you agree with them that DeSantis is a jew worshipping puppet and Kari Lake is a tranny loving Dyke. They lose their narrative quite readily when they realize we are not an echo chamber.

0
WinstonSmith1984 0 points ago +1 / -1

I do not think DeSantis worships any living Jews (believe he is a Christian, so he worships one) nor do I think Lake is "tranny loving."

Counterargument: the second amendment is a threat of violence. Now reconcile his view of 1A with 2A. It's nonsense, of course. Threats of violence are the whole reason 1A exists in the first place. Let's stop pretending that the founders didn't threaten anyone.

Tired of this pussy view of 1A that came straight out of the espionage act, the very thing they're trying to charge Trump with right now. If our government doesn't feel threatened, we're not doing our job as Americans.

-4
MasklessMarvel -4 points ago +1 / -5

the second amendment is a threat of violence.

"provide for the common defense" is not a threat

4
borntacticool 4 points ago +4 / -0

The Declaration of Independence is.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

And it doesn't say "necessary to the security of the state". It says "necessary to the security of a free state".

3
LUXURY_USERNAME 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yea it is, it’s a threat against the people who we need to defend against. The whole point of the 1A is so that we can warn people and never have to use violence in the first place. Otherwise violence is the ONLY answer.

I personally would never break the law. I keep my political activities as peaceful as a BLM protest.

13
Urusovite 13 points ago +14 / -1

What classifies as a threat? Saying the all politicians are deserving of the rope? Not sayin I am gonna do it, but they sure are deserving of it. That a threat though?

4
Global_Tornado 4 points ago +6 / -2

Disagreeing with any person in the privileged class or saying you won't follow a mandate or saying an election was rigged.

All of that is a "threat of violence"

I'm not joking. That's their definition.

3
Julius_Severus2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Optics don’t matter; they’ll just lie.

23
GravityBounce1976 23 points ago +31 / -8

I disagree with this.

There is no legal obligation to remove the "threats" unless ordered by a court, as it must be adjudicated to meet the legal threshold. The court can order the removal of said content, or the "guilty" party can make removal part of their plea deal.

Otherwise, the content in question is a historical record, nothing more. The advocating of violence is illegal, but having an historical record of that text is not. How is it any different than reporting what someone said and quoting them? The "act" already occurred - that's the illegal part, not the persistence of the text.

The Twitter alternative which is most free by design is
ActivityPub federated microblogging

Truth Social and Gab copied software for ActivityPub microblogging and crippled it by removing the federation feature. The goal of that is to create a more captive user base. Don't let yourself be treated like livestock. Join any of hundreds of free, networked, ActivityPub microblogging servers.

Infrastructure for integrity of government, elections, society: Wiki, Chat, More.

4
Snoman 4 points ago +8 / -4

What defines a “threat of violence” ?

19
ExileOnRedditStreet 19 points ago +19 / -0

Whatever the commies say it is.

8
TacoBot 8 points ago +8 / -0

Like others have said, commie judges will interpret how they want. It's supposed to be a specific harm directed at a specific person, institution, or location that could possibly but not necessarily probably be pulled off. For example, "I'm going to go to John's house and kill him" is very problematic. On the other hand, "I'm going to fire Merick Garland into the sun" should be fine. You may end up with more Fed eyes on you after making that statement about Garland, but the statement itself shouldn't be actionable. Given clown world though... 🤷‍♀️

4
Snoman 4 points ago +5 / -1

Appreciate the insight, that’s along the lines I’d heard before. The definition being based on the specifics, and likely not considered often enough are the probabilities.

1
Global_Tornado 1 point ago +2 / -1

Disagreeing with the government or refusing to get a death shot is violence

2
TacoBot 2 points ago +2 / -0

You didn't disavow racism in your comment about violence. THAT'S VIOLENCE!!!!!!

3
YOLOSwag_McFartnut 3 points ago +3 / -0

Statements of intent to cause physical harm to specific subjects outside of Minecraft.

1
Global_Tornado 1 point ago +1 / -0

Now what's their definition of violence?

2
Deltamyass 2 points ago +2 / -0

Harmful words

0
Snoman 0 points ago +2 / -2

That’s pretty broad, it has to be more specific I’d imagine

2
ObamasLooseButthole 2 points ago +2 / -0

“Politicians and groomers deserve to be thrown into a wood chipper” - not a threat

“I’m going to take obamasloosebutthole and slit her throat” - threat

A threat of violence is something that is directed at a specific someone with a claim of what you will do to that specific someone. Legally speaking.

1
1
ObamasLooseButthole 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, see those are threats. That guys a retard.

0
Snoman 0 points ago +1 / -1

That guys a retard who’s now in the system. Didn’t take long for the Spooks to sweep him up either.

1
ObamasLooseButthole 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not when you directly threaten them like that. Those are legit against the law. You can say "the FBI deserves to be dismantled and everyone in the org needs to be drawn and quartered" but you can't say the things he said. That is very very illegal.

1
Blackrider 1 point ago +1 / -0

Idk. Those “threats” are pretty broad and non-specific. Seem like drunken boasting to me. I’m pretty shocked he got picked up. Guess we all should be aware as the bar has lowered. Yikes.

-1
Snoman -1 points ago +1 / -2

How about incitement, that concept is gaining momentum ?

Even mentioning a “civil war” is being seen as suggestive.

And we haven’t even gotten into search histories that are used against people.

1
ObamasLooseButthole 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is true. I was just explaining what a threat is in the sense of the law. Incitement is a different thing that is much more broad.

-2
Global_Tornado -2 points ago +2 / -4

Wrong

That's their definition. Everything that doesn't agree with them is a harmful word violence and now Torba is on their side.

Now enjoy your free speech

1
KrellKrypto 1 point ago +2 / -1

use a deadly weapon on another person; (2) injure another's person or property; or (3) injure another's reputation.

6
KrellKrypto 6 points ago +6 / -0

So for example if I say the fbi is going to be facing a winter of death. That is not a threat.

3
Global_Tornado 3 points ago +3 / -0
