The sad reality is that McConnell appointed them.

1

This I don't understand. His team could nominate 4 judges and they picked someone that was on the FISA court that thought he was a Russian spy and not upset they were lied to? These folks are either cunning or he is blind. We have to stop the blind

The point of this site is to be a pro-Trump echo chamber. Calling it that isn't an insult - it is literally the fucking reason the site exists. It is the first fucking rule.

If the last decade has taught us anything, it is that the only way to prevent an online communication tool from gradually sliding into leftism is to be explicitly and unapologetically right - or, in this case, Trump.

There are a billion anti-Trump sites out there. You want balance? Go read any of them after you read stuff here and you'll have both sides.

Maybe some day, when there are more than three pro-Trump sites on the internet, it will no longer be necessary for this place to be an echo chamber.

The solution isn't to just start shooting, the solution is for as many people as possible taking up arms, going to the capital and forcing all the traitors and criminals out.

The guns are for two purposes, self defense and sending an unmistakably clear message that its over and we arent fucking around. We basically give the option of resignations and tribunals, or violence. Ideally no shots would even be fired.

Not unlike the last march at the capitol...

4
pburgpait 4 points ago +4 / -0

We outnumbered capitol police 100 to 1 on J6, even if they're fully staffed plus some national guard we'll still have a 10x advantage

1
Inquisitor_Corvus 1 point ago +1 / -0

Only if we are resolved to press if necessary.

1
TheRedPilledArtist 1 point ago +1 / -0

And that was without a wholeeee bunch of us there that now would do it (hypothetically).

2
RedPillosopher1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

The constitution isn't limited by local jurisdiction and I'm talking about crowds numbering in the millions, if the capital police are retarded enough to engage against numbers that overwhelming they all deserve what will happen to them.

-2
OneBigMaga -2 points ago +1 / -3

That is the dumbest idea. A large group would get mowed down instantly. Small groups taking out specific targets is the only way this would work.

5
Fr330rD13 5 points ago +5 / -0

I mean honestly most of us paying attention have been able to predict most of what is going on as far as the direction we are headed and the implications barring specific dates and events. It doesn't seem to matter though because even armed with that insight we seem to be completely powerless to affect any meaningful change of course. I agree with you that it is going to be extremely ugly and for some it already is (think J6 defendants, politically persecuted people like unprotected whistleblowers, people who lost their livelihood for vax mandates).

Personally I am not completely sure we will ever see a culminating event but rather a fast slow boil with sporadic events far away....until it is your turn. We may already be past the point of no return as any significant attempt to organize resistance will have you investigated and jailed as a domestic terrorist and they are now already in the process of criminalizing even political assembly.

A large chaotic event at this point probably would be to our benefit and no ones benefit at the same time. It would be extremely ugly and I would really like not having my family have to suffer such events but it seems inevitable that regardless of any prediction that hard times are ahead whether in a totalitarian or chaotic state. Many of us will survive neither.

8
stop_the_tyranny 8 points ago +9 / -1

I think you're onto the truth here.

My take is pretty straightforward:

The FBI agents involved in the raid don't want these documents out. When they were still at MAL, they didn't have positive control. They tried to be sneaky and do it without media coverage, but Trump ruined that instantly. Notice the lack of media coverage when it happened. These were quite possibly rogue agents hoping to CYA a bit.

Their game was to get the docs out of Trump's hands and back in the hands of DC bureaucrats where they can stonewall and keep them more controlled. That's what we're witnessing right now. Crooks covering for crooks.

They are scared to DEATH of these docs getting out and the DC rats are more than willing to assist now. The real question: did Trump really not make copies and store them elsewhere?

Tick tock lil bureaucrats. What does Daddy Trump really have on you? The safe was empty after all. Outplayed.

9
HoganP 9 points ago +9 / -0

You might be right.

If I was Trump, I'd be perpetually pissed off about that raid. Example 79 of doing the exact same things every other modern president has done, being held to a different standard, and now they are going through my kid's stuff and my wife's underwear drawer? Fuck that. Yet he doesn't seem particularly phased by it beyond pointing out that it happened. Like he expected it.

Like you say, the safe was empty.

4
stop_the_tyranny 4 points ago +4 / -0

The only oddity I see is why did they wait over a year. That's the only thing that bugs me. No clear indicator. They could've dinged him right after Biden stepped in with the fury of Jan6 propaganda. Strike when the iron is hot and all.

..Unless the greater FBI didn't know about it. Get it now? They didn't have full awareness of the situation and these were rogue agents, but there are other possibilities.

If I'm right about this, we may actually see the raid agents face criminal prosecution in the long run. The firing of the whistleblower would just bad leadership thrashing around in this case and only serves as an admission of guilt by the FBI for practical purposes. They will be purged if things go our way.

4
HoganP 4 points ago +4 / -0

I got it before and I agree. Watch it wind up being that crew that was attached to Mark Elias and we find out he was wrapped up in it.

There's a lot about this that doesn't make sense. The DoJ has looked like they got caught off guard since the day after it happened and then looked like idiots when Garland finally made a statement around the end of that week. They've looked like they've been playing catch-up the whole time, complete with obvious bullshit leaks about nuclear secrets and crap like that. Now they have the idiots on the left ginned up about empty folders and stupid shit like that.

I'm not going to draw conclusions, though. Too much in play. Eventually they are going to have to actually produce something, though. You don't get to just raid a former president's home then say oops.

6
Bonami 6 points ago +6 / -0

The changes were outlined in an order handed down the morning after a panel of judges on the appeals court overseeing that court said Cannon “likely erred” in her order when she blocked the U.S. Department of Justice from using the records with classification markings for its investigation into Trump, and when she ordered the government to let U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie, the special master, and Trump lawyers access the materials, which Trump has said he declassified but the government says are still classified.

So, Cannon was essentially "ordered" to make those changes.

29
ArbysBeefandCheddar 29 points ago +29 / -0

And Trump did declassify them, but how come they never were declassified? He tweeted twice in 2020 that all Russiagate documents were now declassified.

27
GravityBounce1976 [S] 27 points ago +29 / -2

His memorandum is all that was needed.

30
ArbysBeefandCheddar 30 points ago +30 / -0

Like this?

"“I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!” Trump wrote on Twitter two weeks ago. “All Russia Hoax Scandal information was Declassified by me long ago. Unfortunately for our Country, people have acted very slowly, especially since it is perhaps the biggest political crime in the history of our Country. Act!!!”

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/20/mark-meadows-trump-declassification-russia-430316

31
GravityBounce1976 [S] 31 points ago +32 / -1

He ordered it. Therefore it's declassified. If the "official process" wasn't followed, that doesn't mean they're not declassified.

14
IncredibleMrE1 14 points ago +14 / -0

Exactly. Declassification power originates with the President. He can declassify whatever he wants, however he wants, at a whim. Process is irrelevant.

2
HoganP 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's established legal precedent. It's not hard for corruption to allow the boundaries for existing rules to be pushed or even stepped on. You just don't enforce them.

But it's a completely different thing to invent new law where it doesn't exist, especially when it's directly contrary to established precedent. To do that, they are going to need every level of federal court on board, including the supreme court.

People completely flip out at the slightest things.

3
dizzle_izzle 3 points ago +3 / -0

They do have every level of federal court corrupted tho. That's the problem

1
CmonPeopleGetReal 1 point ago +1 / -0

His word is the official process. All classification comes from his order

1
itsarace2016 1 point ago +1 / -0

the atomic energy act puts nuclear secrets in a different type of classification that is derived from outside the executive branch, meaning the president doesn't have direct oversight over them.

source: https://www.energy.gov/ehss/statutes-regulations-and-directives-classification-program

1
Truth_is_God 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is why ultimately the law doesn't matter. Find the person and a dishonest prosecutor can find a crime.

1
559throw 1 point ago +1 / -0

As if simply not following the lawful and direct orders from POTUS is enough to make the powers of POTUS not exist anymore. These fuckin retards think putting their fingers in their ears and saying LALALALALALA somehow negates the powers of the Presidency. So goddamned stupid

-6
No-extremism -6 points ago +1 / -7

Are these documents the same though? Like, MSM reported some of the documents were related to nuclear capabilities from another country. If that would be true, what does that have to do with the Russia Hoax? Why would Trump declassify stuff like that?

You assume these documents were related to Russia Hoax, but I don't see that mentioned anywhere. Are you lying?

Also, Trump lawyers didn't say the documents were declassified. So of course a judge would assume they are still classified if no lawyer makes the case otherwise.

6
ArbysBeefandCheddar 6 points ago +6 / -0

Trump openly stated that all documents were declassified and that these were Russigate related and I imagine his lawyers did the same and put the onus on Trump and his lawyers instead of how it works in this country, the prosecutors, and we all know the DoJ is beyond corrupt with potential scoldings for Democrats and Ridiculous punishments for Republicans. You just created this account and seem to pop up in threads where you defend the DoJ and attack Trump.

The media was claiming all sorts of retarded shit, like that this was about nuclear launch codes and nuclear subs. You have no idea and so many of the idiotic assertions you have made and supported have been proven wrong.

1
itsarace2016 1 point ago +2 / -1

His lawyers aren't claiming any of those things in court

1
Neze 1 point ago +1 / -0

I imagine his lawyers did the same

They haven't, actually. That's what leftists continue to bring up, the fact that his lawyers won't touch the classification argument.

EDIT: Actually they were directly asked by the judge yesterday if Trump had declassified the documents. "Trump's attorney James Trusty told Dearie it is too early to say Trump had used his powers while still president to declassify the documents"

3
AVeryNakedMan 3 points ago +3 / -0

MSM reported

Literally means nothing anymore.

Nowadays if a leftwing outlet reports something political, I am instantly inclined to believe it's more likely a lie than truth.

0
itsarace2016 0 points ago +1 / -1

he's talking out his butt

The lawyers arent saying their declassified because even if Trump did declassify them, they have no proof of it (at least at this time) and its a crime to lie in court

4
Bidensbuttplug 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trumps lawyers failed to file a motion stating which documents are declassified. Because of that, anything that is marked “classified” is still seems to be “classified” so only the DOJ has access. Yet another epic fail by Trump’s shitheads running his defense team.

3
Neze 3 points ago +3 / -0

More than that, they were directly asked yesterday if Trump had declassified the documents. Their response is that it's too early to say.

2
Bidensbuttplug 2 points ago +2 / -0

Do you think the lawyers have been payed off like everyone else?

3
Neze 3 points ago +3 / -0

Or they're just not very good. Fewer and fewer legal teams are willing to sign on with Trump these days, be that due to the multiple lawsuits and investigations already ongoing or politics or what have you. Plenty of law firms are coming out and stating that they won't work with him.

That leaves lower tier defense lawyers, who make low tier mistakes.

1
S11houette 1 point ago +1 / -0

How could they identify which documents are declassified if they are not able to view the documents?

1
Bidensbuttplug 1 point ago +1 / -0

I would think that documents of such nature have been carefully cataloged and inventoried long ago. If Trump had the right people working for him they would have also been scanned into a secure server just in case something happened. Fire, hurricane, FBI raid.

Now, that being said: Trump has a very questionable track record of who he hires to work for him so who the fuck knows what they were doing down there.

Point being, simply inventory will show which documents were removed, and, since they have “already been declassified” it would be easy to make it public record EXACTLY what is missing that way when the FBI inevitably tries to falsify what they “found” it will be pretty easy to hold them accountable.

He got tricked into hiring them didn't he

You don't need lawyers or a motion to declassify anything as the Chief Executive, your word is the motion.

nice Deep State Video

1
kjj9 1 point ago +1 / -0

That video explains how someone other than the President declassifies things, including how they do so at the request of the President. There is no paperwork needed, no procedure to follow, nothing of the sort for the President to declassify things himself.

The distinction between doing it himself and ordering his underlings to do it is imporant. And totally missed by the hack who wrote the script for that video. The tweet cited says that he "authorized" declassification, which is, as the court filing indicates, not a self-executing order.

But you don't "authorize" your own actions, you authorize the actions of your employees.

He can indeed do it just by thinking, or by any action that implies that he thinks or intends for the document to be declassified. Any other result is madness - it gives people who exercise powers delegated from the President authority over the President.

itsarace2016 0 points ago +1 / -1

He's not chief executive anymore and the ones representing the current one are saying he didn't do it... so he needs to do better than that

According to the judges, Trump "has not even attempted to show that he has a need to know the information contained in the classified documents," according to the decision.

"In any event, at least for these purposes, the declassification argument is a red herring because declassifying an official document would not change its content or render it personal," the panel continued. "So even if we assumed that [Trump] did declassify some or all of the documents, that would not explain why he has a personal interest in them."

It's none of any of these judges' business whether they think Trump has "need to know" now or in the past. He was the original classification authority at the time. All power to classify and declassify information begins and ends with the President. He was President and could literally just declare something unclassified.

By removing any legal authority Trump possessed and NY denying Rights, do these scumbags not realize their authority is moot and their Rights go out the window?

Rules that only apply to me, but not you, are in fact not Rules at all.

Society can't function if we all don't have to follow the rules laid down. I didn't write the laws or agree to fuck all. Apparently they're holding us to a contract we never made while defying their oath

2
fakthemods3 2 points ago +2 / -0

do these scumbags not realize their authority is moot

No, people fail to understand that authority is derived by violence. If you're unwilling to do violence then you have no authority.

The right needs to understand that our proxies of the police, military and courts are no longer under our control. Those were who we relied on for generations to do our violence for us.

We exist in an anarcho-tyranny state where we are no longer protected by the rule of law. We are essentially outlaws and we need to start acting like it.

1
RiverFenix 1 point ago +1 / -0

the day you go full outlaw is an individual choice and totally circumstantial.

I just don't see us all getting together to be effective without a rally being interrupted by the SHTF.

you know what I mean? Like we're all at a massive J6 rally, but then realize there's no home to go back to for some reason.

1
fakthemods3 1 point ago +1 / -0

Outlaw as in 'to deprive of the benefit and protection of law.' That's the original definition. It meant that someone could be harmed or killed without repercussions.

To be fair to the spineless, sniveling bureaucrats (which is more than they deserve), they are correct that if anyone other than the President did what President Trump did, they'd be in big trouble, lots of laws broken. With all their "personal experience" and relating things to themselves (because they're narcissists) and rule following (when it suits them), they completely fail or pretend to fail to understand the true source of all Executive Power including the classification of documents.

8
frogface 8 points ago +9 / -1

Trumps knows exactly what is in those 100 documents, proof of treason. This is why he declassified them and ordered them released. This is why he kept copies of them.

3
congruent 3 points ago +3 / -0

If you believe Trump is always 1 step ahead of his opponents, then this is the likely scenario.

I also think he put one extra document, in a folder marked "super duper secret" with the words:

FBI are faggots.

Just for yuks.

(BTW, if you believe Trump is always 1 step ahead of his opponents, then he was/is 1 step ahead on covid and the election. And in his resurgence now you're seeing that 1 step. Eg, midterm domination.)

3
Montsta 3 points ago +3 / -0

I picture Michael Scott from the office walking in and saying “I Declare, BANKRUPTCY!!” as his way of declaring bankruptcy.

I want Trump to just walk out and say “I declare everything declassified” with a memorandum written on a napkin and citing it in court years later when they try to indict him.

And he’d win again because the feds are gaibois.

4
Cuttinmuffins 4 points ago +5 / -1

Trump declassified all of those docs before he left office. He did so loudly and publically which, to me, points to further corruption in this case. Not surprising in the slightest.

4
altaG12 4 points ago +5 / -1

He declassified twice. Once in writing in December 2020 and second time 2 days before he left White House.

-1
Bidensbuttplug -1 points ago +2 / -3

There doesn’t appear to be a written record though, which is required by law. Journalists have sued to get a copy of the record and they were denied by the Trump administration

4
stopthebullshit 4 points ago +5 / -1

Yeah, what is going on?

Asked about Trump’s claim on Fox News that he could simply declassify documents by thinking about it and there’s no process for him to follow to do that, Senate GOP Whip John Thune told CNN there’s a process for declassifying documents.

“And I think it ought to be adhered to and followed. And I think that should apply to anybody who has access to or deals with classified information,” Thune said.

4
conservativefrank 4 points ago +4 / -0

What''s the process? It seems to be that the left will let you know what's classified or not.

4
Cdope45 4 points ago +5 / -1

They don't know the process either because there is no process.

They're doing the same thing with the electoral college and the VP. Trump suggested something that's legal. The left throws a fit and says it's illegal. Then they try to create a new law, proving Trump right.

Their goal is to keep polarizing headlines appearing non stop because they know their mouth drooling base has a memory of a gold fish.

4
frothy 4 points ago +4 / -0

The process is to email the documents to Huma Abedin asking her to remove the classified markings.

1
Bidensbuttplug 1 point ago +2 / -1

Here is a really informative breakdown of the law and process required

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HE0tsm4x4rk

1
JoseyWalesEchidna 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'll pass on the WSJ's take. TLDR on the Constitutional take is that the President is the Original Original (yes, it's repeated) Classification Authority. All classification authority begins with him. There is no bureaucratic process or bureaucrat that can come between a President and his intent to declassify something. Anyone who claims otherwise is completely ignorant on the Constitution and our system of government.

1
Bidensbuttplug 1 point ago +1 / -0

So how does he prove that he declassified those documents without documentation? By this logic wouldn’t it also mean that Biden can reclassify all those documents as soon as he takes office without any documentation?

1
JoseyWalesEchidna 1 point ago +1 / -0

He issued a standing order about it. Ideally, then the bureaucracy does its thing and re-marks the documents. In this case, the bureaucracy opposed him and drug their feet.

Think about it this way though. From a legal perspective, does it make sense that an un-elected bureaucrat should be able to override his or her boss ultimate boss? That person's boss is the President who derives his power from the Constitution. There's no higher law or bureaucracy to appeal to. Despite what a bunch of "legal experts" assert. There's no getting around the fact that a bureaucrat claiming that a law, policy, or procedure can override the President makes zero sense when it comes to something wholly within the powers given to the President by the Constitution.

1
Bidensbuttplug 1 point ago +2 / -1

It would take 5 seconds for a federal judge to get any clearance that they might need pertaining to their duties as judge.

2
Crappydatum 2 points ago +2 / -0

If a president could declassify with a thought, he could literally declassify every document in the possession of the U.S. government with a constitutional Jedi-like power. No one would know that there was declassification other than the fact the he removed the documents or treated them as declassified.

This is disingenuous. The President claimed that BY MOVING IT to Mar-a-Lago it was defacto declassified. He didn't leave it in vaults and call it declassified

1
Neze 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump may have but his legal team certainly hasn't.They refused to even claim whether he declassified the documents when directly asked by the judge.

2
Crappydatum 2 points ago +2 / -0

Because lawyers. Judges were asking for "evidence" and Trump merely Saying he declassified wouldn't count unless there were some ADDITIONAL "evidence" such as a room full of witnesses. Easier to just say "later"

I'm suspecting a smokescreen. Trump waited weeks to even Ask for a special master. Then he "mails in" the legal arguments. It's like he's not really trying and really doesn't care. This is just more kabuki theater

1
proud_semi_fascist 1 point ago +2 / -1

The onus is on the prosecution to prove that Trump didn't declassify them. Which is impossible, because he could have declassified them in any way, in any manner by the constitutional power of the executive branch vested solely in him.

Which is why a non clown world DOJ would never bring this kind of case against a former president.

But this is clown world.
