How is Foam Party Rubio still a credible Republican? And yes, he is entirely right on this case. I'm just embarrassed to have BOTH of them on our side, is what I'm saying.

Doesn't that just say everything about politics though? That we are constantly being forced to choose the least bad candidate, instead of a good candidate?

McConnell was a good choice back in the days of the 1950s when politics worked a certain way and campaigning work to certain way. but as an elderly dinosaur who has since already taken his millions in bribes he no longer knows how to navigate the future political world and he no longer cares because he's an ancient dinosaur who has millions of dollars

There has to be more to McConnell and many of his southern RINO buddies ... degenerates like him and Lindsay Graham (and a few other swamp senators come to think of it) invade these "safe" Southern Senate seats campaigning as Conservatives and are ANYTHING BUT THAT save the 6th year of their terms when they're campaigning (only their talk gets big ... not their accomplishments).

It has to be more than just money ...

Politics is the art of compromise and working with what you have to work with often on ground not of your choosing. They can't all be Trump or MTG.

You'll notice that Trump backed Rubio in the election even though he had no real reason to. Now Rubio is coming out for a change in leadership. Think maybe a deal was made?

That 5D chess that gets talked about? Chances are we are looking at it right here.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– flashersenpai 3 points 84 days ago +3 / -0

Politics is the art of compromise

Yeah compromise between them on which way to fuck YOU.

Smart ass comment aside, fuck compromise. If you want spaghetti and I want ice cream, we don't blend that shit together and suck it through a straw. Go eat your meal and I'll go eat mine.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– HoganP 2 points 84 days ago +2 / -0

This isn't a policy debate, you fucking dolt. You have to deal with who is there or nothing gets done. This way, Mitch is out. Your way, Mitch stays.

Grow a fucking brain.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Parabellum76 2 points 84 days ago +2 / -0

No, politics is essentially doing favors for your friends and hurting your enemies. Compromise when you shouldn’t and it will destroy you. Example, the left wants to mutilate little children and the right thinks that should be illegal. If you compromise with them and meet in the middle you end up letting 13 year olds get on hormone blockers with parental consent, the left wanted 6 year olds to make their own choice and we met half way, now we’re fucked.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– HoganP 3 points 84 days ago +3 / -0

I should have put quotes around that because it's an old saying in the study of politics. I did not mean to suggest that it's literally always solely about compromise.

And as I replied to the other respondent who completely missed the point of what I said, this isn't a policy debate. In this case, it's about compromise and if Trump wants someone he can work with, he's going to have to work with who is there. It's obvious he made a deal with Rubio.

Does that mean Rubio will be the new Senate leader? He's highly intelligent, definitely has independent mind and way of thinking (what we need from Trump and DeSantis as well) and young! The latter which would be needed to attract more young voters. Not to forget, he is Hispanic of course. So you can't play the rAcIsM card.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– yodayoda 4 points 84 days ago +4 / -0

He doesn't have an independent mind. He's a neocon RINO. His best buddy was McCain when he was still alive.

The Senate GOP leadership vote next week should be postponed

First we need to make sure that those who want to lead us are genuinely committed to fighting for the priorities & values of the working Americans (of every background) who gave us big wins in states like #Florida

The leadership vote should be postponed until the Senate races are finished.

This is a DEEP STATE PLAY guys.......

McConnel and the Deep State understand 2 things, the Republican Party grass roots hates him, PLUS, he is just about at retirement age anyway. So, what is the Deep State play? Instead of letting a Rick Scott or some other conservative take over, lets go to Rubio, he was in on the Overthrow of Trump, he was on the Senate Committee with Burr and they had all the information, they knew Trump was not guilty. They even gave a guy a recommendation for 1 month in jail because he knew they were the ones getting him to leak. They could have pressured him and thus they gave him a measly month for giving the young NYT reporter Classified Info.

So, they tell McConnel and Rubio to do the switch NOW, have Rubio come against McConnel and thus he will now be the Deep State shill.

You have to think that job makes you slimy, with the volume of money you have to collect from lobbyist groups, globalist-aligned corporations, etc (like grabbing the ring in Lord of the Rings). Our patriot donations pale in comparison to those amounts, but we must have integrity at the top. The turtle is totally corrupt. Josh Hawley said he won't do it. Rand, haven't heard his thoughts.
