It really is tragic and I don't like comparing people to junk, but the situation is what it is. Plus, it's not just the lost resources, what a thing to look back on as your life's work, I've seen it, it destorys people, sucks the life completely out of them until eventually they hand the responsibility over to some home and still feel guilty about it. It really is a black hole of energy and resources.
I remember having the conversation with my wife, "what if?" before our first child. She made me promise that I would resolve the problem, because she knew she couldn't.
All these people talking in the abstract about what great people they'd be, to dedicate their lives to nothing. They don't know shit.
