The fact that the GOP is trying so fucking hard to get people to like him and get behind him, tells you all you need to know.

It's one big club, and we ain't in it. Any true outsiders will never be allowed back in. Trump exposed it, and showed what happen when a real outsider DOES get power. And it fucking immolated them so badly they'll stop at nothing, both parties, to keep it from happening again.

Even the supposed "hardcore" conservatives that have popped up in the last couple of years are getting on board with him. They're all trying to douse the flames of anger and shove McCarthy down peoples necks as a unified GOP, which tells me it's a trojan horse.

I fully believe the same people who put Pelosi on her pedestal are the same ones now trying to put McCarthy there, it will not be good for our nation. It will be RINO horseshit x1000, and anything remotely resembling an America First agenda will be shut down and controlled.

Why did Trump endorse him?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 16 ▼
– CAPTAIN_TENDY_PLATE2 16 points 68 days ago +16 / -0

Trump has endorsed a lot of bad eggs, imho.

There have been tons of people Trump endorsed who turned out to be shit later. To answer as to "why", I personally believe that Trump trusts a group of people who advise him on things like this, and I believe he has been backstabbed/betrayed in a lot of those cases.

Is that a personality flaw? Probably. I think maybe the amount of times he's been stabbed in the back is because he has tried to be trusting of people, and they betrayed that trust.

I could be wrong, he could just be making bad calls.

But the fact is, Trump endorsing someone, imho, does not necessarily mean they are a good pick. I have learned to disregard Trump endorsements and look at their track records with my own eyes.

I think this Reading of the Constitution is rather silly. It's meant to virtue signal to the Republican base that McCarthy cares about us and will listen to our concerns. He won't. He thinks we're dumb and too stupid to see this as the ploy it is. he just thinks we're so dumb we think reading the Constitution is magical and totally mitigates the fact he's a RINO.

What's the alternative? Civil War? Going off the grid and living like the Unabomber? I'm a middle aged woman. I have no faith in any of our institutions but I do believe Jesus is the Second Person of the Holy Trinity. I don't vote because I think the system works. I vote because I'm hoping I can keep it from getting worse and buy some time for the children. That's all that matters to me and most right wingers. I don't think a third party is going to work but there's too many RINOs in the GOP. I don't have a solution. I'm only biding my time.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– BStoo 1 point 68 days ago +2 / -1

Agreed GOP is only viable solution for now. The problem is GOP CLUB and the only way to destroy the club is vote RINO’s out. If MAGA picks a single state and defeats one RINO by voting DEM the message will be clearly sent. We are not in control of the party because we are afraid to take consequential action. That’s how we lost the party to RINO’s in the first place.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 0 ▼
– Smurfection 0 points 68 days ago +3 / -3

We got a bigger problem than just voting RINOs and honestly, I'm not sure if RINOs are the bigger problem. I think we need to work on our own voters. We need more voters and we need to move the ones we got into our sphere of influence. Unfortunately, many of our loudest voices (at least online) are unattractive, belligerent, consumed with topics that offend and repulse prospective recruits.

I grew up in Minneapolis. I've lived most of my life in MInneapolis and moved out in 2019. I've always been Pro-Life and voted Republican, I converted to Christianity (Catholicism) in 2019, but Minneapolis is very far to the left. Most of my friends and family and co-workers have been far to the left. I once infiltrated MayDay books, a commie organization and well, socialism is in the air in Minneapolis.

There's two things lefties do that works fantastic with normies but right wingers are completely oblivious too. The left wing flatters "new" lefties and doesn't stomp on people who are just "kind of" lefty. The right wing takes a baseball bat to the heads of all "baby" right wingers. Instead of welcoming them and encouraging them and offering them support, we immediately start accusing them, denouncing them, threatening them and almost making them run a gauntlet. We lose a lot of people that way. Lefties constantly make nuanced, wordy arguments and finesse their recruits. Right wingers are just as likely to tell a new redpilled person to KYS or Fuck Off! No one wants to join a group like that. T_D on reddit worked, and worked spectacularly...and I mean was handing out red pills constantly, because people were welcoming to new pedes. So many threads that people said Welcom Fren on and pedes shared their own redpills etc. The memes were funny. The posts were fun because they mocked the left wing. I look at P.W and it's about where 4chan is. Depressed, angry people, paranoid of Jews and constantly harping on black crime. Who the hell in their right mind wants to visit a site like that? Even some of the blogs that post are full of anger, vitriol, cussing, vulgarity, low on information but constantly working themselves up into a lather. This isn't a winning message.

The other thing lefties do a lot better, probably because they have more money, is organizing. The left runs circles around us in terms of organizing. They're better at setting up cells of workers. They're better are organizing volunteeers. They're better at boycotts and shouting their opinions out to any company or group that dares to stray from the left wing narrative (they only go after right wingers that are a threat. They figure the angry, creepy, belligerent right wingers do their job for them and they're correct). The left can get on a page and stay on the page until their narrative has saturated. If we try to get on a page and push a catchy slogan on the right.....it's more likely that after the second right winger repeats it, the next 40 right wingers got to find a problem with it. Right wingers back stab each other, are incapable of working together, do not trust each other and won't unit behind an authority figure. Frankly, is shocking as all get out that we are able to hold together this long for Trump. Right wingers need to learn that isn't not about them but about the game. To win the game, you got to play the game. Right wingers don't even know there's a game going on so they're constantly losing before they make a move.

i mean seriously....why must ever damn fool try to red pill people about the confederacy? It's an utterly useless debate and frankly, offends so many people that it has a negative impact. What fucking vanity drives right wingers to think it's a good idea to shout crap about the South as if that's anything relevant to the daily lives of winning over voters. Same with the dumbasses trying to rehabilit Hitler. There's a reason why the mainstream press quotes this place and it's not because they fear us........it's because they want to the general public to click here, read the offensive comments and get so turned off, they won't even consider voting Republican. I think it's probably working for the left. Any fun credibility or powers of persuasion we had at T_D is pretty much gone now.

Oh well, the right wing just can't get out of a rut because we don't think we're in one. We'd rather yell about McConnell and Lindsey Graham. I'm not saying they aren't RINOs but I am saying, if we need better representatives, we need more and better voters and to do that, we need to play the game, welcome new people and organize better.

The Left says, "No enemies on the Left". The Right applies various purity tests, and if a single flaw is found, labels people "controlled opposition", and treats them with hostility. Then there's all the infighting, because we're all "rugged individuals".

As ridiculous as Antifa are, at least they show up. We couldn't even produce 1000 people to demonstrate for Kari Lake in Maricopa. There's a reason why the Soviet Union was brought down by a trade union organization called "Solidarity". If you don't want to go the 2A route, a general strike and a tax revolt would probably do the trick, but they would require collective action. There would be risks and sacrifices involved in that, and we don't have enough social coherence to get past the "I'm alright, Jack" attitude. By the time it comes to your own doorstep, it will be too late.

The reason people aren't willing to make these sacrifices or take these risks is that there's nothing in the American experience to prepare them for what's coming. I've seen it in Poland, but when I describe those conditions, people tell me I'm crazy. But I've seen the signs for a while now, and have been trying to warn them. Same with Cuban refugees, and a lady I know from Cambodia who saw the rise of the Khmer Rouge. If the Central European experience is a guide, we won't get our country back for 70 years after a Communist takeover. That's what makes the risks and sacrifices worthwhile now.

Brazil's stolen elections follow the patterns we've seen here, which suggests international coordination, like from China. But they've been in the streets in large numbers, non-violently demonstrating for a month now. There's a truckers' and farmers' strike underway, too. There are no identifiable leaders, so they must have managed to organize spontaneously, while presenting an amorphous front to those who would like to crack down on them. I think we have something to learn from them.

I actually disagree with your premise. IMO the dems have become macro value voters since Clinton. They don’t care anymore about the character of the leader only about their leader getting their extreme agenda implemented. (macro). Until Trump the GOP we’re just the opposite. We were micro value voters. We voted for Bush, McCain, Romney because they we’re nice people even though they did nothing on a macro level to save our country from the crazy dems the last 30 years. As a former GOP micro value voter and now a macro, big picture voter, I don’t want any more pussy voters or pussy leaders in the party. I don’t care about nice. I care about results!

you see a house with its pipes rusted. its roof rotted. its wiring burnt. its floors in disrepair. the walls are cracked and molded.

and the only thing in good condition is the foundation.

you tell me what you do.

I build a new house on solid foundation.

I'd guess you try to replace each piece and it falls on you.

we are in that condemned house and just sitting in it debating what parts are worth saving when it is literally only the foundation (constitution) worth keeping.

if you consider cost/risk analysis immature then by god its good to be so.

reality is that at some point burn it all down is all you have left you tool. we are there but it is not time. simple as.

even worse there's a timer because we are talking society not a real house. how long till people find being buried in rubble normal. how long till that becomes okay.

be a scared old man all you want. i embrace the opportunity to fight and 99% die for my children's future if we band together and make the decision to do so.

No bill longer than two one-sided 8.5 x 11 inch pages of 16 point font text with no more words than Declaration of Independence.

No co-mingling. If it gets implemented in a particular part of government, it is a separate bill.

The precedent has been set.

And written in language that matches the average reading level in the country. Yes, I understand how simple the language would have to be, but if the people can’t understand the law how can they be expected to obey it?

I’d limit amendments to three per bill to allow for spelling errors and typos. If the bill needs more amendments than that it wasn’t written well in the first place.

Finally, no more giving bills misleading names for branding purposes. Keep it as “HR123” or whatever

Any bill put forth in congress should be single topic only. They are presenting bills with a name like "Save the Environment", then submitting a 800 page document that raises taxes, gives 900 million to the FBI, 5 million to Ukraine, 6 million to LGBT clinics, & banning a dozen attachments to firearms.

Then when it gets blocked, they say one side or the other voted against saving the environment. Then a few hot speeches with soundbyes from the white house on it and threats against the oil industry makes gas spike 5 cents. It's all a crooked, bullshit circle of politics.
