Elon needs to make the EU ban twitter. Expose the lack of freedom these governments want.

Anyone who runs one can monitor it, that's why, since TOR uses whatever protocol is used for the connection you'd better not visit sites with no or poor encryption when using TOR if you're concerned about your privacy. Darknet sites or "hidden services" does not pass an exit node tho, they go straight to the server after hopping through the network.

2
American-Patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Would a multi-proxy VPN along with TOR be enough for them to find out the user's location?

What's tor

0
MarxhatedJews 0 points ago +1 / -1

It's a way to circumvent many governments' tracking. It was designed for CIA folks, their behind the lines double agents and community organizers to report back to the CIA.

Security minded people think it helps them in the US but it is a false sense of security.

1
Waco419 1 point ago +1 / -0

TOR was created by the government for the government. So that government agents could not be tracked.

It's not like EU has ever successfully blocked anything online tho. Even thepiratebay is still up and running despite desperate attempts to shut them down for over 20 years. EU can kvetch all they want, most governments and even more ISP's will refuse to obey any censorship orders.

1
BillionsAndBillions 1 point ago +1 / -0

Apple and Google will happily block the app from European app stores, though.

3

its already there. It's low orbit so there's a massive fleet covering the planet right now.

(The only thing any area is missing is downlink stations - at least until Gen 2 are up and running - that's the only thing preventing any rollouts in any country)

1
President_Elect_Pepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

No.

Do NOT do this.

Plenty of users already know how and those who don’t can find out via other means.

For twitter to directly empower that though gives the EU an excuse to give them.

29
HunterBidensPC 29 points ago +29 / -0

Agreed. If they want to ban it it’s on them. Giving into the EU is no different from Apple giving into China

1
Assassin47 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah I've said it before, but their demands are an undue burden on private business, and allow the taxpayer funded government to shirk responsibility for enforcing the law. Twitter isn't the police. Maybe they could set up some easy way to report and takedown illegal content in the EU (like DMCA notices) but ultimately the government needs to either pay for it or enact their ban.

They were blood brothers. Satanic death pact in Molotov Ribbentrop.

1
DrainNIH2 1 point ago +1 / -0

Really? Molotov lived til a ripe of age of 96. They executed Ribbentrop after Nuremburg. It seems whatever Alliance Germany and the USSR made was pretty one-sided. Seems like Bolshevik Soviets used drunk traitors like Churchill to bring modern communism to the EU and eventually the USA.

Churchill and Dulles, below. This from Wikipedia, the globalist encyclopeida. They want us to know the Commies weren't so bad.

Churchill praised Molotov:"man of outstanding ability and cold-blooded ruthlessness," Churchill concluded: "In the conduct of foreign affairs, Mazarin, Talleyrand, Metternich, would welcome him to their company, if there be another world to which Bolsheviks allow themselves to go."[109] The former US Secretary of State John Foster Dulles said: "I have seen in action all the great international statesmen of this century. I have never seen such personal diplomatic skill at so high a degree of perfection as Molotov's."[110]≈

1
MarxhatedJews 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yes, the fascists and Bolsheviks found evil solace together in their hatred for "Jew run" capitalism. Something Marx and Hitler agreed upon was the problem. Their words - not mine.

So they agreed, with that pact as the formal agreement, to go to war against capitalism and Christian Poland. Carving up Eastern Europe into spheres of influence.

The fascists thought the US would join them. Since almost every single fascist policy came from American progressives, it makes sense Hitler named his personal train Amerika. Only changing it after FDR stabbed him in the back.

FDR worked with Mussolini, both praised each other and they all instituted the same policies that came from Wilson and FDR.

It's all leftism. Do you know who the Fabian socialists are?

2
Assassin47 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's the way it should be. Every country can set up whatever laws and regulations they want on their users. We don't want multinational corporations deciding what the rules are for everyone.

2
DrainNIH2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Might not free speech be an exception, though? That's pretty universal to having a benevolent humanity.

14
Taliesin 14 points ago +14 / -0

In Britain, and Germany the cops can search your house on a mere suspicion or malicious accusation, and confiscate all your electronic devices, books, and suspicious food from your fridge "Fried chicken, eh? That's a racist dog-whistle, mate." If you are brought to court, the burden of proof lies on the accused, not th state. Coming soon to Ireland.

The EU has gone full Orwellian.

Look how little that piece of paper means to those currently in power, and similar to the next generation that they have brainwashed; I'd argue the only thing that has saved us is the people, namely that we are less removed from God. Most of our churches are garbage, but in most of our grandparents' time the church was mostly solid, and so we aren't too far removed from those values that made the nation great.

The EU, on the other hand, is like 150+ years removed from having widespread solid churches, and the UK 100 years.

Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.

3
Labyrinth9000 3 points ago +3 / -0

That’s because Europe has been on a downward spiral. Ever since the EU was formed, they began to lose more of their cultural identity.

1
GabeC1997 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, but they're extremely wary of all the guns that "piece of paper" allowed to exist.

1
JuanTitor 1 point ago +1 / -0

That exists because the people by and large believed in and backed the Constitution. The document is just a written formalization of what the people believe, but as the elites assault the culture, more and more people stop believing those truths, and if it continues it doesn't matter what written law is.

It still seems most people still support the Constitution, but I don't know if it is true for those under 30 in the cities. I'm trying my best to do my part to guide the youth towards truth, and I'm sure most reading this are as well, but if that battle is lost so is the power of the Constitution.

Most if not all EU countries view freedom of speech as something given by the government and imposes limits on that "freedom" of speech.

The US is one of the few countries to acknowledge that rights come from God and not government and prohibits government from infringing upon those rights.

4
Labyrinth9000 4 points ago +4 / -0

That’s because Europe has never supported it their whole history due to bring collective under rulers. The heads of states in Europe will shut their pants when the people start criticizing them.

7

In the Netherlands we have freedom of speech. The EU has nothing to say about that. So do it and see what happens in the Dutch court. The EU is falling and failed, they just want to buy time.

Okay so one guy, what did he say?

The Netherlands is one of the few country’s in Europe to have such a crime, for which the maximum sentence is five years in jail.

Also interesting to keep in mind, didn't know about that.

Thing is he wrote it on "social media", that is one of the American big tech giants, if they didn't rat him out he would have never gotten arrested. Simple as that, probably thought American laws applied on American websites, guess not. Cuckerberg bent over for the king.

He'll comply, he's already said so. He's not going to lose a whole userbase. He's not going to pay fines. He'll not have the twitter domain names censored by each country. Unless he has a sure proof way of not complying. I'm sure he already has a plan to deal with this, seeing as how it was inevitable and one of the first steps they would try to take against him.

Off the top of my head, I would offset the work to each country to allow them to censor themselves, while still showing the post exists and is being censored by their government. Which he could always remove and replace it with some other hilarious solution in house or whatever later.

Optimally, users would set up their own preferences, with default preferences per country that can be disabled by the user. Making the user responsible, but still allowing them to see something if they want.
