Thing with Musk is that you usually don't rely upon his time projections (as they're generally overly optimistic with how fast things can get done), but instead go with what he's promising as he'll generally do what he'll say he'll do.

16
BurtMcGirt 16 points ago +16 / -0

I'm actually surprised he is doing what he said he would. He's done a good job so far.

11
Aoikaze2000 11 points ago +11 / -0

It's what I've seen with him and SpaceX going back to where they were trying to land a booster on a barge out at sea. Now he's gotten it so routine that the technological feat is BORING.

Musk strikes me as the autistic engineer that only stops when he realizes what he's trying to do violates the laws of reality.

9
SordidPontification 9 points ago +9 / -0

You've illustrated the craziest part about SpaceX. Landing two boosters next to each other (and the center stage on an autonomous barge) is an incredible achievement that no one else has managed to pull off, much less this consistently.

...and it happens with such frequency that no one really cares anymore because it is routine. That is INSANE.

And all the kvetching and whining that came from the "experts" and "rocket scientists" about how such a feat was impossible. Right up until it was done. Repeatedly.

NOPE. He's a big fat fucking lying fraud like the rest of the billionaire elite class. He's anti-union, he's pro war(See his Twitter exchange on the US backed Bolivian Coup) He doesn't believe in free speech (He made people vote for the 45th president to have freedom of speech back on a website?? He said Alex Jones cant come back on because apparently he has held his own dead baby in his arms??? Even though Alex wasn't removed from Twitter for Sandy Hook it was something completely different, calling somebody a rat or something...He's also Transhumanist. Jimmy Dore or Mark Dice will set you straight with the false prophet that is Elon Musk. He is also working with the US military and Ukrainian military to provide his Starlink services. Idk why people ever think billionaires give even a single fuck about the working class.

9
Barbs 9 points ago +9 / -0

(He made people vote for the 45th president to have freedom of speech back on a website??

That was an obvious honeypot, and he was going to reinstate him no matter the outcome of the poll. You’ll notice that GEOTUS barely squeaked by with 51% of the vote, but every major poll since then has been 70/30 in our favor.

Because the honeypot poll caught the bots.

Just look at his language when he talks about it, that it was an egregious stain on their record that had to be rectified to regain the trust of half the population, and you think he was going to “poll that one out” for real?

Ok, so what has Musk done that's fraudulent?

And I never said Musk was MAGA. However, Musk happens to have a lot of objectives that align with MAGA, and he's doing a really good job at fighting the culture war for us successfully right now. He makes a great ally for the moment, and tbh, we need more of those because they help us fulfill our objectives. He's a useful tool for the cause, little more atm.

And the unions can go fuck themselves as far as I care. They were useful once, now they are just obstructions for capitalism that have killed off several industries.

3
TOPDAWG23 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nothing is wrong with the idea of a union the problem is the unions are now the same corporations they were created to fight against. The Union by the local workers themselves is just fine.

3
FormerGraveheart 3 points ago +3 / -0

He's scum in many ways, but what he's doing right now is helping us out quite a bit regardless of his intentions, and he does generally have a track record of doing what he says he'll do, so it's reasonable to expect him to follow up on that. He is a leftist and always has been, but he does appear to be not a controlled zombie unlike all the rest of them. It goes to show how almost the entire establishment are, in fact, brain-controlled zombies running the western world, which should frighten you.

1
Lovestein20 1 point ago +1 / -0

4
Barbs 4 points ago +4 / -0

He’s also learning about Twitter as he goes.

He’s lead investigator at a crime scene he just bought, and it sounds like what he’s uncovered he really wants people to know about.

His track record lately is pretty good too. I’m optimistic.

1
Cyer6 1 point ago +1 / -0

He's also getting a lot of collateral flack by doing that as we know. Just yesterday, some judge over in Ireland said he couldn't fire an exec over there. I'd imagine he'll now just shut the whole operation down over there and move it to a based country like Poland or Hungary. That or stop her paychecks.

7
Ale_and_Mead 7 points ago +7 / -0

Well, to give him the benefit of the doubt, he might need to consult with lawyers depending on what he has. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should, or should without proper preparation. Especially when a significant portion of this country is salivating for any chance to make an example of Musk at this point.

1
Barbs 1 point ago +1 / -0

Opportunity cost. It was not a red wave.

1
offsubject 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes it was. We know it. They know it. You know it.

1
Boom2cannon 1 point ago +1 / -0

No. I 10000% believe that it was a massive underperformance due to a number of reasons.

Republicans should have outright control of the senate and a 30+ margin of control in the house. Instead, we will not control the senate and we have the slimest of margins in the house.

1
offsubject 1 point ago +1 / -0

Only because election fraud and cheating. We still won the house with all that cheating.

I really believe if there was no tsunami they'd have permanent control of house and senate.

2
Boom2cannon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then by your own definition there wasn't a red wave. It's not a victory, nor should it be taken that way until elections are secured. Otherwise it's just hypothetical.

And to be clear, I agree that the cheating definitely ran rampant. But what's reality is that there's the narrowest of margins of one chamber that we have control in. And once you factor RINO's in, the democrats actually are the ones with control.

5
FormerGraveheart 5 points ago +5 / -0

This site is just lousy with people who have given up so completely they try to turn any victory into a defeat.

All these "I knew it all along" comments are so fucking frustrating.

Elon literally says in the tweet that this is the obvious reality and long-time users know this. That's not the fucking point you absolute boomers.

The point is that something is finally being done about it. Good job for being the smartest asshole in the world, give yourself a sticker.

6
IAmNotAnAutist 6 points ago +11 / -5

He needs to start releasing them, and stop talking about it.

Then people will stop 'dooming', as you put it.

We've seen this over and over. Someone stands up, "we've got the goods", then nothing happens.

The fact that he's trying to play it up, get some word of mouth going, makes me doubt it.

6
AmericaAllDay 6 points ago +6 / -0

Well you're not thinking about it. There is no magical "release" button. Everything has to be prepared and presented. Twitter is not going to just dump a .zip folder with random files for people to go through.

All this "play up" is just Elon wanting to release it immediately, but he can't because it's not ready.

0
BeardedNinjaPede 0 points ago +1 / -1

You're right. It'll take at least 2 weeks to prepare all the evidence.

2
AmericaAllDay 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dude way back Elon said he will get rid of the bots or die trying. He's just NOW starting to remove a large swath of them. That's how long it took to get it ready. There was no magic "delete the bots" button.

1
BeardedNinjaPede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Elon has accomplished much these past 2 weeks and I am looking forward to what he accomplishes in the next 2 weeks.

1
panthicc 1 point ago +1 / -0

Didn't say dooming.

Elon has the source code and all internal logs, memos, policies, etc. There is no doubt that he has this information, unlike the other termites who came out of the woodwork claiming nonsense.

All that information takes time to compile in a meaningful way. He's letting the public know he's working on it. This is important because the public knows he has this information and needs to be assured that he's going to give it to us instead of just filing it away somewhere never to see the light of day.

Still waiting for BIG CHANGES at twitter.

The site still promotes leftist viewpoints exclusively via the "recommendations". Like "Technology" recommendations are nothing but leftist tweets, for example.

The trending topics almost always favor the leftists, when a trend DOESNT it disappears fast and is replaced by an opposing trend that remains all day.

You still get your account locked and banned for criticizing high profile leftists.

You report leftists for doxxing, making threats, making racist comments and the response is always "No violation occurred".

The ONLY thing I have seen that is different than before is highly visible accounts can now make statements questioning the covid narrative without being banned. That's it. Thats the single change I've seen.

1
todiwan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Except there's a huge faux scandal about Twitter doing EXACTLY THAT and banning threatening, doxxing Antifa accounts after Andy Ngo pointed them out to Elon. So obviously they do it.
