I almost died last year with my wife and kids in the other room. Through gods grace I was saved. When you die it doesn’t matter how close your family is they I never felt more alone.
Some time back I had a serious medical event and was told there was a chance it could be fatal.
As much as I would have resented leaving my wife and children I trusted they would survive and I was at peace with that. And knowing God was there to receive me. My material things suddenly meant little to me.
Yet once I cleared some medical hurdles I worked like a possessed man to recover. I imagine myself as an encouragement to others in a similar state today although no two people share the same exact experience.
I hope u/Clabber emerges as a victor in this event and is able to inspire others to hope and fight for life.
In my comment above I gave OP the number to call or text if you need a health care advocate. These are nurses who know what to say and who to go to in a hospital to get things done. It’s through Brian Ardis, who is the guy that discovered and got it known everywhere that Remdesivir is deadly and that it is what the NIH has mandated doctors use for “covid” patients.
I have found the more specific the prayer is in regards to something the more specific the response.. Its an opening of yourself to God and through him a community bonded in faith when our prayers are specific and earnest it appears to act like a focalizing lens bearing its healing light most intensely on the issue of greatest concern.... A first name perhaps and the what you feel most pressingly right now will help direct our prayers in a specific manner Fren.
I did EMT rotations for a prison before, and all the prisoners get taken care of, even the one's that continue to try and kill themselves.
Side Note: One of those moments in my life that I have never forgotten was seeing the desperate look in one of the patient's eyes, after they've suffered brain damage from a failed hanging, and they kept reaching for me(a new person), in hope that I'd pull the tube out of their throat that's keeping them alive. If you do chose to end your life, firstly I hope you don't, but if you do, don't fail.
Seen some too. Ranging from being a complete vegetable to one who jumped off seven stories on to concrete. Now paralyzed from the waste down with noodle legs. Totally incontinent wearing diapers. Failed overdoses destroying kidneys and livers. You’re correct: if you’re going to do it don’t fail.
This is nothing new. We were stacking people in ER hallways 20 years ago. It started when corporations bought all the hospitals. Any room that is empty is lost revenue, so they do not build or staff for busy days - only the average number of patients calculated by past data and algorithms. I once started TPA (a high-risk - because you can bleed to death as a side effect - anti-clotting med given to people having strokes or heart attacks) on a man in a hallway CHAIR before, which means I had to find portable monitors; hang multiple IV lines with pumps; give oxygen and more. Did it result in an incident report or even a meeting to prevent it from happening again? Absolutely not. They don't care. Look at the institutional investors of most hospital chains. Blackrock, Vanguard et al. There really are VIP suites for the elite. They don't sit in ER hallways or wait for a call light to be answered.
Oh, and Clabber, the fact that you're in the hallway is usually a good sign. Someone else needs the room more than you. Since it's only been 5 hours since you posted, you might well still be in the ER. Try to respond to this like you would if you were on a really old, rickety roller coaster, going up a gigantic hill that scares the shit out of you and you want to get off. But you can't. You choices are to fret, worry and cry or to throw up your hands and say "Wheee!" You WiLL meet some of the good guys there - and God is everpresent in ERs. It's palpable if you stop to feel it. Where there is great suffering, God and angels appear. Try to stop and mentally create a golden globe of God energy around yourself and let nothing that can harm you through. Then, if you're there long enough and you get good at it, make it bigger, and then bigger. You'll not only protect yourself and connect to something greater, but you'll spread it around the ER a bit. God Bless You.
I deliver to 2 hospitals for my job every day, and a handful of others on occasion. A year or so ago- back before the lose your job if not vaxxed by Jan 4- a doctor told me that what they think privately about the vax is different than what the hospital says publicly about it.
I asked why, and he said it was because they were a public company. He didn't mention which specific company owned that hospital. What he said made perfect sense though. Wall Street favors things that make them money.
It looks like an intake staging area in an ER/ICU. They will pull people into some smaller spaces sectioned off by curtains as they find a room for them.
Right. Those curtains make a difference. They spare you your dignity at least. This poor guy is staring at four disgusting waste containers and open corridors with questionably clean floors as staff walks by day and night. Not cool, man.
I've worked in many hospitals where they use a hallway as extra space for ER patients. Its just the nature of the beast. You can build the biggest ER imaginable and eventually the bean counters in HR are going to come down and say "hey we can stuff 10 more low priority patients in this back hallway and increase our profits and turn around times".
Be well, Clabber. Prayer said.
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
God Bless you FREN.
Ditto
I think Amen is the classic 'ditto".
Unless we're talking Rush The Patron Saint of the EIB network.
I so miss that man.
Yes, I thought the Rush reference would have crossover appeal and bring a smile
amen just means yes
“So be it”
“Let it be”*

Many prayers and positive energy are sent your way

Hang in there bro! I hope your nurses are all dime pieces. Keep your head up.
God bless, and yes brother (fist bump)
please don't tell me you assumed OPs gender. And get well Clabs
That's tough. You're alone there, but you're not alone in the world.

Prayers offered up.
I felt comfortable in god hands and prayed for him to save me to see my kids grow a little older. He saved me.
I wasn’t scared, just really sad knowing I would be missing out on so much. Luckily I got another chance n
How can we help.
Exactly, this seems like the exact reason this site was even created.
There has go to be something we can do.

Surely he lives somewhere near other pedes on here. Maybe he can mention the hospital then someone who can help can DM
I was thinking the same. If he's in my city I'll certainly visit even if just to bring him some non-hospital food.
Or to at least let him know there's somebody very local he can reach. That could make a difference in his care.
I would do the same if he's near here. I'll check back periodically to see if he's made another comment.
Clabber's in Arizona I do believe. So, I will blame Katie Hobb's for the undue stress that has injured our Fren.
Your posted picture ...I've shared that view before. Keep your mind strong and your body will follow.
where. I'm in AZ ... Prescott

WTF?!? Did they just leave you in a hallway?
I've been stuffed in a hallway - several times. It's what passes for ER care these days.
Good lord, man. Prisons treat you better than that - and I have first hand experience. Hang in there, Fren. We need you.
I can vouch for this too.

Good advice there, fellow frequent flyer
It's now been 12 hours since he posted :(
Well, God is omnipresent.
People need to pay close attention to everything you just said and understand the implications.
I deliver to 2 hospitals for my job every day, and a handful of others on occasion. A year or so ago- back before the lose your job if not vaxxed by Jan 4- a doctor told me that what they think privately about the vax is different than what the hospital says publicly about it.

I once saw the invoice for a baby delivered in 1963 at the local hospital that no longer exists. It was for a grand total of $50.
I paid cash for my child's birth in the late 80s...$6,000 total paid over 3 years...and it was a 24 hour labor culminating in a c section...
This makes me feel all kicky and punchy and stabby.
They're so packed with illegals you can barely get in for a tumor biopsy. (based on recent experience, not conjecture)
