Its not that adhd isn't real. My problem is the diagnosing and stigmatized of what I view as just another way a human brain can function. Not everyone is fit to sit and absorb intellectual information for long stretches.
You do realize the medication for ADHD is stimulants right, not hormonal.
And considering that giving stimulants to someone with ADHD actually helps them calm down and focus, you have to admit that this not how stimulants work for normal people.

My experience is that ADHD is a diagnosis to prescribe drugs to boys instead of allowing them to go through a natural puberty.
It's easier for educators and parents to medicate them than deal with the hormones.

I understand the meds are not hormonal, but they serve to counteract the behavior caused by puberty hormones.
We used to allow boys to go through puberty. Strong parents and teachers helped them though it without drugs.
