I saw these in Ashville NC in September 2020. I don't live there but I was passing through on a road trip. Beautiful place but amazing to see how far into the vanguard of liberalism that city has fallen. Conservatives are realistic, salt of the earth people and liberals are just nice because we live in a polite society. One of these families moved in to the house behind us.
There is a pond between the two rows of homes (actually, the homes sort of wrap around it) but the homes on his side of the street own the pond. On our side our property stops partway up the slope down to the pond.
One summer the local kids were cutting through our yard and playing by the pond. My kids were just out looking for frogs, and one of the boys (not my own) was tossing stones into the pond. You know, like boys do. Just skipping and chucking small rocks in. Healthy, normal stuff.
Note that this is a FLOOD CONTROL pond built as part of the development. NOT a fancy koi pond. Mostly the only things in there are frogs, bugs and Sunnies. So really not an issue if a kid is flicking rocks in there.
We have lived here since before the houses in the back were built and it was all a field back there, so my kid were used to playing back there, as were the other neighborhood kids.
Well this asshole comes over and starts yelling at ME about the one boy throwing rocks.
I tried being nice, because that's what you do as a God fearing man. Give the other guy a chance to step back, try to de-escalate. Work towards peace.
But THEN he started yelling about "His property" and "legal rights" and bullshit. Talking like a woman the whole time.
Well I had enough. "Oh, and all of this was a waste of time anyway because that kid youa re upset about? He's NOT MINE. You are barking up the wrong tree. Go have a talk with HIS MOMS (Yeah, Lesbian couple with two kids.) and complain to them. Pointed him to the house across the street with the Rainbow flag, then slammed the door in his face.
Yeah, I watched him slink away on the house camera. Never did go confront the moms.
I ended up going out and talking with the kids after he slunk home. Let them know about that guy and pointed out his house. Told them maybe they should steer clear of it, the guy was a jerk who would probably call the cops on them for throwing rocks in the pond.

Lol my neighbor put one of these out right when they moved in across the street, except it didn’t have the symbols but text was the same. I made a post about it here a few years ago. So I put up a Trump sign, and my neighbor I guess was fascinated by it, so the next time I saw her walking the dog, she says “I know what you do I looked you up, no way you’re really a Trump supporter”. I told her yes, ma’am of course I am. Now, although we disagree 100% politically it seems, she is really nice just misinformed. Has invited me over for an oyster roast which was really nice and I met a lot of her children’s colleagues and stuff, but it was so crowded, we never got into talking politics but I think she’s at least open to understanding why I think the way I do. So maybe one day, we’ll get that opportunity to discuss, her love is love sign is now gone, but maybe there’s a chance I can change her mind on some things, she is quite a bit older than me so idk if folks that age listen to someone younger than them but she does seem open to understanding my POV unlike most leftists.
