Those over 2Yrs, normally go to other stock Yards for a little time to be fatten a bit, but mainly to hold for the Slaughter Houses, and this is where the problem begins....
The ""BIG FOUR"" Cattle Slaughter Houses, have the means to either Hold Live Beef in Pastures, or Stock Yards, and I think this is what they're doing partially to create a Beef Shortage, IF they kill them before Slaughter, they lose nothing because it becomes a Tax Write Off, and if they just hold them and do nothing but Feed them, this too is a Tax Write Off....
But they also ship Our Beef all over the World, and they have built Extra Freezers, to hold Frozen Cut Beef, not like Hamburger, but Halves, Quarters and such....
They can cover a Concrete Floor with Plastic pallets, then stack Frozen Beef parts to the ceiling, some of these Freezers can be hundreds of feet long by wide, and up to 20 or 30 feet tall, which means they can hold many Months of meat Supply in them....
So between Shipping to other Countries, and Stock Piling, they in fact Create the Shortage, and if they make it spoilage, no big loss to them, just another Tax Write Off, while you pay high prices for Food, and suffer with ""Manufactured Shortages"".....
