It’s a true story – but I need to warn you, it’s a very hard story.
There are details in here that are sickening; so please, take warning.
Sage – who’s last named has been withheld from the press for her privacy – is a victim of the Homosexual Lobby’s “transgender” agenda for our nation’s schools.
She was only 14 years old when she started high school in the small town of Appomattox, Virginia, August of 2021.
And she was going through an “emo phase” that meant she was wearing more boyish clothes, like blue jeans.
But within a SINGLE WEEK of starting school, counselors “were able to determine” that Sage was “trans” and told her so.
She was secretly told she should start using the boys’ restrooms now – setting her up for more trouble.
Unsurprisingly, the boys didn't want her in there with them and resorted to extreme bullying to drive her out.
While the means these boys used are wrong in themselves, these conflicts were entirely the fault of the school officials who forced teenage kids to deal with issues they weren't emotionally equipped to handle.
The angry reaction of the male students only worsened Sage's mental condition – yet her mother was told nothing.
And when her mother found out she was using a “trans identity” at school, Sage ran away from home and straight to a sexual trafficker.
Appomattox High School had no official or public policy to push the "transgender" agenda on Sage -- nothing her mother could have learned about and taken action against.
The high school kept this policy entirely secret, off the books.
Former Governor Northam had issued a guidance directing schools to act in this way, but it was repealed by Governor Youngkin. However, many Virginia schools are refusing to stop their support of the "transgender" agenda for students.
Sage was even sent to "transgender" websites by the school counselors – websites that in turn linked to pornography and "creepy older men" -- sexual predators looking for victims.
These contacts resulted in Sage being lured by online predators to meet sex traffickers.
Sage was trafficked -- or sold -- first into D.C., and then on to Maryland over the course of nine horrific days before she was found. But the horror didn't end there.
Under Maryland law, Sage's parents were accused of being "abusive" because they did not support her “gender transition."
Sage was placed in juvenile detention and only allowed to appear at a court hearing by remote video screen. Her appointed attorney claimed Sage did not want to return home, despite Sage yelling over the screen that she loved her mother.
Sage has since testified that her lawyer encouraged her to lie about physical abuse -- beatings and starvations -- at the hands of her loving parents.
The lawyer repeatedly told Sage that all she cared about was winning this case – defeating the rights of parents in the name of the “transgender agenda.”
The Maryland judge, Robert Kershaw, held Sage hostage in Maryland for two months -- until she was once again trafficked into sexual abuse and slavery.
Kershaw ordered Sage to be held as a male runaway -- not a victim of sexual trafficking -- in the male quarter of the Catonsville Children's Home.
As a direct result of this order, Sage was repeatedly assaulted by the other males living in this space.
All of this happened simply because her school counselors had labeled Sage "transgender" on a whim --and the State of Maryland was not going to let her parents question that.
Even after multiple hearings failed to produce any evidence that Sage's parents had abused her, Kershaw still added to the record that “more likely than not” Sage had “endured emotional abuse and neglect by his parents,” including “misgendering” and “misnaming.”
Kershaw is clearly an activist judge seeking to affirm the "transgender" agenda no matter what.
Whilst in Maryland custody, Sage was told by her lawyer that her own parents no longer wanted her -- and all cards and messages from her parents were blocked.
Sage's attorney made it crystal clear that the welfare of Sage was secondary to winning a case for the "transgender" agenda – even ignoring Sage’s increasing drug use.
Sage was denied treatment for her sexual trauma by Judge Kershaw, as that would mean acknowledging that she was actually a girl.
In the end, Sage was so isolated and scared -- due to the action of her own attorney and Maryland Judge Kershaw -- that she ran away and again fell into the hands of traffickers.
Tricked into going to Texas, Sage was held for months by a trafficker who starved, drugged, raped and beat her.
But her loving parents never gave up, and just over a year ago Sage's mother discovered a tip online that led Texas marshals to Sage's rescue.
Even then, Sage's abuse at the hands of the Homosexual Lobby did not end!
Due to negotiations with Maryland, Sage was forcibly admitted to a Virginia lock-down facility.
While she did receive medical treatment there, her new counselors took advantage of her deeply traumatized condition to attempt to pressure Sage into requesting "gender-affirming" breast removal surgery.
Thankfully this attack was defeated.
It took almost a year for Sage to finally be allowed to come home -- where she immediately requested to live as a girl again.
In Sage's own words: “I don’t know who I was. I’m a totally different person now. I never was a boy. Everybody was doing it, I just wanted to have friends.”
She should have been home in ten days – one day after her initial rescue. But since the system had labeled her “transgender,” it did everything it could to separate her from her parents.
Even she admits that her “transition” was nothing more than typical teenager issues and peer pressure – compounded severely by an abusive school system that is frothing at the mouth to affirm any gender but a biological one.
And this is why the Virginia state legislature is currently working on the bill known as Sage’s Law.
This bill – named for the poor girl – will restore the rights of parents to oversee their children’s mental health and general identity; while severely limited the power of schools to push gender insanity on their students.
Specifically, it will forbid school counselors from hiding a child’s gender identity from parents or from encouraging these underage students to hide it themselves.
It will require schools to notify parents immediately if a child is asserting a gender different from their biological sex.
And it makes crystal clear that parents are not abusing their children simply by raising them according to their biological sex.
Public Advocate has been calling for action on this very issue across the country.
And almost 8,000 Public Advocate supporters in Virginia rallied this week to make sure that Sage’s Law passed the lower house – VA’s House of Delegates.
But we need a national Sage’s Law to protect children in every state from being abused via the “transgender” pipeline into sexual trafficking.
One homosexual Delegate spoke out against the bill, whining that the Radical Leftist teachers know better what’s best for your kids.
To that I say, over my dead body!
These people are monsters, groomers and predators.
They have harmed and are actively harming tens of thousands of young American children.
It must be stopped.
The Protect Children’s Innocence Act by Rep. Greene’s goes a long ways towards that, by criminalizing the permanent medical procedures that disfigure these children for life.
But it would not have stopped what happened to Sage.
In our Amicus brief which was just filed at the Sixth Appellate Court in TN, I included the story of Sage in detail.
Her story serves as perfect example of the dangers of the "transgender" policies being pushed by the Department of Education.
20 states have joined together in this lawsuit to overturn these bureaucratic rulings.
But Congress can still act directly to outlaw these practices of school employees, who are secretly and aggressively "transitioning" minors.
We need a national Sage’s Law to prevent schools from warping the minds of these children and leading them into sexual trafficking.
In the months ahead, I will be lobbying our allies in Congress to introduce just such a bill.
I pray I will have your support when I do.
