At least $1.5 million spent by Pentagon to take down balloons now described as for 'recreation' or 'research'
The U.S. military will have spent over $1.5 million to shoot down three balloons, which are now believed to have belonged to private entities for recreation or research, according to the Wall Street Journal.President Biden recently said that “the intellige...
Well at least they admitted how much they wasted and how many heat seeking sidewinders missiles missed a balloon traveling at 4 knots per hour. The Chinese know how weak and incompetent our military is and they have nothing to worry about. The CCP owns Congress and Biden. We are so screwed.
It's beyond me why the FBI didn't want the public knowing Biden was compromised before the 2020 election.
The FBI is corrupt from top to bottom. The few ethical field agents are just riding their time out but all the new people are basic thugs loyal to the Party. They are dumb but can be dangerous.
The FBI protects the UniParty and the Biden Crime Family. They would take a bullet for Hunter if they had and they will protect them at all costs. Hunter even said in his emails to Beau's wife that his correspondence with the "Spy chief of China" has probably led to assets in the CIA being exposed..
The FBI and CIA don't even care about their own guys and are willing to let a crack head expose guys in the field and get tortured. What a sick agency, disgusting people who are not even loyal to their own guys.
The FBI is just like Biden. Corrupt as fuck. They shut down the Silk Road website that traded in Bitcoin so people could get their weed. They seized something like 3 billion in Bitcoin. Then, there was that treasure hunter guy, Dennis Parada that found a seven ton Civil War cache of gold on gov't land and the FBI showed up with backhoes and took all of it in the middle of the night.
Yes, it cost us $1.5 million. Why did it cost $3 million, you ask? Well most of the $5 million was spent on fuel and sidewinders
😂
Yup, he gets it…
Yea to bullshit "fact checkers", because you can't think for yourself, peon. Remember your Govt has your best interests in mind...

They care about barroons now?
Sum Ting Wong
Are they still claiming Trump had balloons too or have they given up that lie?
They tried hammering it for a few days and totally abandoned it since nobody believed the BS lol
Trying to look tough.
ACKSHUALLY, it's because balloons are triggering for trans military folk who will never have a pregnant belly, you bigots.
So, another $12bn for Ukraine? Is that the current math the White House is using?
How about taking down that bag of hot air in the White House? That would be money well spent.
Money printers go bbbbrrrrrrrr
Not since cash for clunkers has government waste been better demonstated than using $400,000 missiles to shoot down $100 balloons.
Damn I'm still pissed about that. All the good old 70s-90s vehicles that would last forever if you put in a couple hundred to parts every few years, all wasted and gone.
To be clear, this was the admin running absolute kneejerk reaction to being called weak about the Chinese spy balloon.
Which just guaranteed that China will send an infinite number of them over the next 10 years.
I feel bad for some of the recreational guys. I have a friend who sends cameras up, well, high enough that the sky is no longer blue (although the cameras can look down and see blue sky).
There is absolutely no chance the Biden regime won't make that illegal in the next few months, to save face. (No, China will not face any punishment for violating our sovereign borders.)
Well based on their track record they are not likely to identify who sent the balloon up so your friend should be fine whether it is legal or not.
That figure is only for the four AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles used to bring down the objects over Alaska, Canada’s Yukon territory and Lake Huron. It doesn’t include the cost for Navy, Coast Guard, Alaska National Guard and Canadian forces to search for the debris
Ham Radio Baroons.
Our military is so advanced that they can't tell the difference between a low altitude chinese spy satellite and a weather balloon.
MIC wins again.
Well, espionage is research... basically.
What was it, like a fraction of a percent of what the Deep State military spends on flying jets around / expending munitions in training etc. that day and every other day? The cost seems irrelevant.
The only thing that really matters about this story is that they allowed a Chinese Death Star Balloon to cross the entire country unmolested, and then because they got mocked for their inaction, they hilariously overcorrected the policy and started scrambling jets to take down children’s party balloons.
... there's no way in hell our logistics would last in an actual war is there?
So they weren't Chinese spy balloons?
500,000 dollar missile (Sidewinder) and the F22 cost $85,000+ an hour to fly. Times that by 4 and you can see 1.5 is a very low estimate.
This makes $640 toilet seats and $400 hammers seem rather cheap.
I'm actually ok with this. At least it was an attempt at national defence.
Drop in the bucket
Let's see here... At $8 a balloon, we could bankrupt the country! Oh wait, we already are.
We'll just print more money, that how it works, right? What could go wrong.
Had China not indirectly admitted to the one shot down over NC originated in China I would’ve thought our government was responsible for all of them.
Don't get me wrong, this is stupid, but jets have a fucking absurd operating cost, so this isn't really that weird.
At a glance, F-22s cost almost $100,000/hour to fly.
Never tell me again that the govt is good at defense or anything else for that matter. Utterly useless!!!
Be me: outside with my young son conducting an experiment for a science project. Launch a GoPro on a weather balloon: watch as $1.5M in missiles explode over our house.
To be honest, I'm not that upset about them shooting down an unidentified airborne object in our airspace.
It sends a message, even if they weren't Chinese spy balloons.
So the one balloon that was supposed to be a Chinese spy balloon was allowed to fly over Canada and US but we shoot down the civilian balloons? Fucking 🤡🌎
At least $1.5 million spent by Pentagon to distract the public, with stories of UFOs, from revelations about US & Norway sabotaging Nord Stream 2, and Pfizer creating new diseases to sell more "vaccines".
FTFY
I am pretty sure most of us were saying shoot it down, so we can’t really be mad that there was a cost. Perhaps there was a better, more economical way to decommission the balloons.
Been using balloons since the civil war. What more is there possibly to learn?
Litmus test to gauge the public's reaction.
They wanted to see if we were ready to accept the next false flag. Then, bluebeam started trending on Twitter.
