In addition to infrastructure probably being a problem, the best theory I've heard is that this is a consequence of what happened with the federal government forcing through a train union contract.
Someone brought this point up before and it was discovered that extremely minor things are counted as derailments. The number of cars toppling spilling toxic material is not numbered in the thousands or even in the hundreds per year.
Sure, there is confirmation bias on p.w like anywhere else, but that "1000+ derailments per year" stat is pretty fucking propagandic when compared to what's been happening lately.
Given all the grand conspiracies that have turned out to be either more true than less true, or fully true over the past 6+ years, it isn't a big stretch to believe that to be the case regardless of whether this was posted or not.
I hear what you're saying about remaining vigilant to confirmation bias, but gaslighting about pattern recognition is going into full swing regardless of the content of this post.
There are about 3 derails a day, about 1% of them are the scary kind though, most are just an automatic breaking event caused by loss of pressure in the air break system because a wheel momentarily left the track and like half of the derails happen in the rail yards.
If 3 is a pattern then what is 109 times?
A concerted, well-funded campaign.
Clearly, trains are out to get us and we must do away with all trains in their entirety.
Who delivered six million to the concentration camps? Trains did, thats who
A fact
The UniParty is like Schultz from Hogan's Heroes "I see nothiiiiiinnng"
A conspiracy theory.
I'm wondering if it's ccp or antifa or uniparty alphabets or just shitty infrastructure. Maybe all of the above

ever stop and think it may just be a VERY disgruntled employee?
How about several very disgruntled employees with easy aid from outdated infrastructure?
He must be very busy
Were these employees forced to take the vax? Hmm
Antifa sabotage?
Wow. The globohomos are burning their deep investment in NS for this campaign. Interesting.
Create the crisis.......
We're well past pattern numbers.
Well, there are about a thousand derailments every year in the US.
I'm glad someone said it. The confirmation bias on this platform and our party as a whole has gone completely off the rails.

Don't forget the situations surrounding rail companies not maintaining equipment and tracks, causing strikes and large employee outrage.
"One death is a tragedy. A million is a statistic." That basically sums up your point here and how people are responding.

Trains derail about once every two days in the USA. What that train is carrying, where it derails and what the response is is what matters.

But Neon knows that line, I’m sure.
Folks need to tear up the tracks, if they cannot trust those using them!
ER Doctor: "sir, why does your penis have three bite marks on it"
Me: "well, I had to make sure it wasn't a fluke"
Derailings happen fairly common. Severity matters. East Palestine is in a whole different beast
