Far past that point but it takes a while for cultural inertia to change enough for it to happen. This is why they are slow rolling the collapse so that the frogs stay in the pot till its too late. EU is done. Their governments are far far too corrupted and they have tens of millions of young jihadis just waiting to boil out and kill everyone around them in a wave of blood and violence. So ww3 starts there. Shit we are already neck deep in ww3 because this time they are using economic bombs and migrant troops and cultural bullets.

Not working. Some of the EU nations will fall but at least half of them refused the migrant hordes and are fine. Even in the US the illegal flow is 95% male and whites still HEAVILY outnumber them and own all the firearms and food and power production.

Plus something that isn't getting any media attention is that the Christian side of America is popping out kids in job lots in numbers large enough to make south of the border breeders blush. Once those kids grow up and have kids it will be the next massive baby boom and there will be no competition for it.

It's one of the reasons they are pushing so hard to inject as many illegals as possible as a counter and to ensure they keep their majorities in the major D shitties.

the real story isnt that macron is trying take away people's pensions, its why he's trying to take away peoples pensions. he knows what the economy is about to do and this is a last gasp effort to avoid a total collapse.

If they wanted economic bombs they wouldn't bail out customers of the recently collapsed banks. Doing so keeps others passive. An economic collapse doesn't suit them well at all.

▲ 2 ▼
– F33lingFr0ggy 2 points 72 days ago +2 / -0

The thing is that the FDIC insurance pot will eventually run out. They just have their woke banks getting hit first, so they get their money back before it gets to the normies at the end of the line.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– SquiggyMcPepe 2 points 73 days ago +2 / -0

That was a grift operation. The absolute majority of customers for svb was woke tech corps and other woke rich people. Gavin newsome had most of his money for his corps and personal account stored there. Plus interest rates had made the bonds that bank bought worthless. So crash the bank and bail it out so they can buy new bonds at a better rate.

This is a very short term solution to save those woke accounts and its going to cause greater harm in the long run for the common man. Also the admin blocked the normal way it happens when a bank fails by keeping other banks from buying up its assets and restructuring on the private markets dime. Now the taxpayer is going to fund it driving us even deeper into debt beggering our children.

I don't think Frank was too fond of the left, either. He was all over the map, politically - and had as much disdain for liberals, especially after the PMRC. He just see how bad it could get, from either side. I think towards the end of his life, he was waking up to the fact that they're all the same behind closed doors.

If anyone wants to know, France's 49.3 rule (article 49.3 of the French Constitution) is a mechanism that allows the French government to bypass parliamentary debate and pass a bill without a vote. Under this rule, the Prime Minister can present a bill to the National Assembly and declare it to be a matter of confidence.

The thing to note is that if the bill fails to pass, the government would have to resign, which puts pressure on members of parliament to vote in favor of the bill.

Macron should fall for this shit. The purpose of the 49.3 rule is to prevent gridlock in the legislative process by giving the government a means to push through important legislation that may face opposition from parliament. However, critics argue that the rule undermines democracy by limiting debate and bypassing the normal legislative process.

▲ 4 ▼
– Vallum 4 points 73 days ago +4 / -0

It’s there for a reason, French politics after WWII was in a constant state of gridlock. It was not a bad system until the role of the cabinet was greatly reduced as a sidekick for the president. Now, even if the prime minister falls, who cares? Macron remains, and Macron is the one running the show.

Why use such an emergency power to invoke this change which only stands to limit people's benefits from the government? Something they always champion as vital and something they pride themselves on. While the French government increases their benefits given out to migrants and illegal aliens they pull back benefits to those who have put into the system.

They probably stole the election a few years ago from Le Pen too. The "freedom" has been an illusion all along.

He had no intention of not using it because that reform is absolutely required if France wants to be able to borrow money. the French have been voting for redistribution and pensions for ever, and they've always refused to get educated in economy, the eduation is coming now. The fact that they're now going to revolt violently is funny consiedering they didn't do much during covid and submitted nicely.

Will it also prevent the implementation of the policy change? If not then it's just a speedrun dictatorship option.

"L'État, c'est moi."

France has always been a dictatorship, despite all of their self-adoration about "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité".

The French Revolution is no different. Instead of being ruled by an Emperor, they were ruled by cruelty and passion. And then what followed was not better and sometimes worse. And that takes us to present day.

Plus ça change....

For the record, one of the major points of the pension reform plan is raising the retirement age by 2 years. For obvious reasons, this is unpopular and unlikely to garner majority support. It may also be necessary.

It was de Tocqueville who said that a democracy lasts until its people discover that they can vote themselves money from the treasury. At that point, they loot the government and the country collapses.

I'm not a fan of Macron, but the simple fact is that the only way to save a nation that has begun to loot the treasury is probably to circumvent democracy. The individual voter has little incentive to give a damn about whether the country is fiscally solvent.

The only way to save a nation that has begun to loot the treasury is probably to circumvent democracy? The NATION didn't loot the treasury, the government politicians did...and by "circumventing democracy," they didn't SAVE the nation, but instead guaranteed to the government two added years of looting it since they don't have to pay out benefits to would-be retirees for another two years out.

What is the reform he seeks? If it involves hanging communists I’m for it.
