All those thinking "this will only make him stronger" still believe they live in America of 100 years ago and "they" wouldn't dare actually incarcerate or straight up eliminate him. This is the frog boiling in the pot. We've shrugged off every transgression, watched our constitution be used as toilet paper in a thousand small ways over decades and somehow people still believe "it can't possibly happen here". This is exactly how totalitarianism happens folks. By small steps that the people excuse until we are unable to stop the momentum and then the BIG step happens. This repeats throughout history over and over. We are not special or immune to the folly of man.
