As a dad I taught my neighbours to come outside and play. I setup a bucket and squirt guns, slip and slide and a pool of water in the summer and kids came from blocks away. Dads sat in the street and controlled traffic as they skated and ran around until the street lights turned on.

One of the reasons why these teens and young adults are getting depressed from woke leftism is because it puts them in an impossible position. Woke leftism tells them to be hypersensitive to racism, homophobes, transphobes, sexists, bigot and to find reasons why common interactions and common experiences fit into a system of oppression. It also tells them to work for change to save the world while naming the oppressor as white, male, Christian, capitalist, western and American. There is almost nothing in the common daily lives of anyone in this country that can wholly divorced from what they view as the perpetrators of the system of oppression and injustice. They are also told to attack and dismantles the system of oppression. So they are constantly trying to control what they can't control while attacking everyone and everything around them. Sounds like they're living in a mind prison from hell, literally. No wonder they're all full of anxiety and depression. It must be constant anger and constant fear that they'll end up on the receiving side of the attack too.
