I wonder if stupid articles like this are AI generated.
They're NPC generated, so yes, artificial but no intelligence.
All I'm saying is this article is really selling me on drinking coffee.
No, this is a good article! Black people should only do things that are built by them and for them. So, nothing. I will gladly give up coffee if we can exit the lot of them back to Africa.
They invented peanut butter......and, uhm........jogging
George Washington Carver didn’t invent peanut butter. The earliest reference to peanut butter can be traced back to the Ancient Incas and the Aztecs who ground roasted peanuts into a paste. However, modern peanut butter, its process of production and the equipment used to make it, can be credited to at least three inventors.
In 1884 Marcellus Gilmore Edson of Canada patented peanut paste, the finished product from milling roasted peanuts between two heated surfaces. In 1895 Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (the creator of Kellogg’s cereal) patented a process for creating peanut butter from raw peanuts. He marketed it as a nutritious protein substitute for people who could hardly chew on solid food. In 1903, Dr. Ambrose Straub of St. Louis, Missouri, patented a peanut-butter-making machine.
George Washington Carver stole credit for the invention.
He invented hundreds of ways to use peanuts but not peanut butter.
American dad did a whole episode on this saying Lincoln’s wife invented it during one of her crazy spells but they gave Carver the credit to “heal” the nation. It’s not true, but it’s more true than Carver inventing it
Exactly. Legume paste has been around since forever. Hunter gatherers squatting in fields figured it out how to grind grains, legumes and nuts with stones.
“Durrr hey boss, lookee what I done did! Is invent somepin!!”
George Washington Carver was a very intelligent man with many accomplishments in his life. We should use him as an example for black people to look up to.
Instead, you decide to be a moron and fake quote him like he was some ignorant slave.
This is the type of bullshit that makes us look stupid. Fuckwits like yourself. So he wasn't the first to grind up peanuts into paste. Okay? I think we all knew that.
He was however a well grounded, smart and professional person. Someone that should be admired not mocked.
George Washington Carver didn’t “steal credit“. He legitimately did a shitload of invention(and only filed 3 patents on them). People are basically retarded and eventually things got mixed up and mis-attributed.
Here’s an article so you can appreciate the guy a little bit more. . https://science.howstuffworks.com/innovation/famous-inventors/george-washington-carvers-inventions.htm
reading through that it seems like he basically didnt truly "invent" much of anything at all. he just studied a lot of things and came up with ideas/methods of doing things slightly differently or for a new use. that could be considered inventing i suppose.. but thats a gray area in my opinion to take something that exist and just use it in a new way. the inventor of the flushing toilet didnt invent water, he just found a new way to harness the power of moving water. the toilet is an invention, not the water and that seems to be what carver did more. find new ways to use water. but things like taking pigment from clay to make ink has happened since forever, same as crop rotation to not run the soil out of nutrients with the same crop over and over. thats some BC era knowledge. not saying he wasnt smart or ahead of his times on some things, he deserves credit where its due because improving on old ideas and spreading awareness to new and improved ways of doing things is extremely valuable too. it just seems they really, REALLY want to portray him as something he maybe wasnt. calling him the "black leonardo" seems like an awfully long stretch considering davinci was truly coming up with things nobody else did and figuring out how to do it, how it works, why it will work. all while being an inspiration for kung fu turtles.
i think this is the best thing in that article regardless.
That article only bolsters the claim that he didn't invent anything...
He was an industrious man, to be sure; but everything they're accrediting as an invention is sadly laughable, chemurgy (hah!) probably bring the most laughable
There are many ignorant fucktards on this site. Complete disgrace that they would talk shit about a dead man that did so many positive things in his life.
So patent law perpetuates white supremacy
Using toilet paper is racist and White Supremacy because white toilet paper wipes
Not when you're done
Wrong! My teachperson told me that Jimmy Carter invented peanuts, a by product from his research to find a solution to climate change catastrophes, and given that it's much more likely that Billy Carter stumbled on the secret to making butter.
upvoted for "teach person"
Best comment. What he said is facts.
They didn't even invent that, it's fake news.
I agree with the jogging. I remember football practices that always ended with two laps around the track. Most of the blacks on our team took twice as long to finish the laps. Even the offensive linemen finished before them.
My mom told me she saw somewhere that black people think that peanut butter is racist.
Sexist, the lids won't open for a woman.
If Blacks think they are allegedly so discriminated in this country they should move to their native land, Africa, and build their perfect community.
Obviously, anyone can see that most of Africa is absolute chaos and a 3rd world shit hole.
Ha, no Whites to blame.
South Africa used to be an exception but it's now reverting to just another African shit hole.
Slavery became racist as soon as white people bought the slaves from the black people
The word slavery comes from Slavs, who were enslaved by the Muslims.
At the height of black slavery in the US, more whites were enslaved than blacks.
The notion that slavery is inherently anti black is a myth. The first slaves were slavs, that is where the word comes from. In the earliest days of civilization the more physically capable dominated the weak and more civilized people. hence why "barbarians" were feared. That is just another aspect of history hollywood has managed to white wash with Conan the barbarian. What is funny is the mental gymnastics they go through to black wash established white characters, but they wont make historically black characters black because an accurate historical depiction of a black man would be considered "racist"
How is Conan the Barbarian a white washing? None of the proto-European cultures that Howard based his Cimmerians on were black.
Liberia says hello
So mud huts and dirt cookies and mosquito burgers?
you had me at mud huts. Go on.
South American coal mines, as Abe Lincoln originally intended before his assassination.
In the sense that both of them are simple pattern matching machines with a model trained on pure woke garbage, they're pretty much identical.
You are on to something. One of the big problems with our society is most people are letting complex systems do their thinking for them. The feminist on tiktok who puts a BLM fist in her profile despite knowing nothing about feminism, BLM or tiktok.
Is a better statement.
It's still illiterate. We used to be better than this.
Buzz feed actually said they are going to start using chatgpt to write their articles which caused their stock value to increase.
I think it's been getting used for a while across a lot of platforms. It all had this kind of flow to the writing that seems algorithmic and lifeless
I keep running across articles that are very generic, along the lines of "Item X is useful. To operate it, read the user manual, some people like it, some people don't" kinda deal. I think it's just to drive traffic.
Remember when you could type in any number than COVID deaths and a random article would exist for it.
Hmm. Maybe I should do a wikipedia thing that generates generic entries or something. Could be funny. Would probably read like a Tim Pool video.
Did you say Tim Pool is AI.? That would explain a lot. Organic Android.
It's all flashing lights and wires under the beanie.
That whole site is satire. It's pro genocide and communism. So even if it's written in good faith, it's satire in the fact they're still pushing this evil.
Yeah it's not even a made up name!
Since it's signed "Gay Rag Staff", probably. But we've heard about AI assisted articles for a few years now.
FUN FACT: Americans switched to coffee after the Boston Tea Party as a way to stop giving money to our colonial masters.
Facts don’t matter!!
Facts are racist!
Speaking of facts, ... is being a 15 year old black 'yute' wearing $300 sneakers, a $500 jacket, and a $5,000 gold chain racist ? ...just wondering...
They also culturally appropriated native americanx culture by dressing as them when they dumped the tea.
The English also culturally appropriated Mesopotamian culture by using a boat, which was first made by Noah.
I've seen it said that that wasn't some disguise or misdirection but just that many at the time were adopting customs and dress of the natives.
Liberal college white bitches are addicted to it.
Break their caffeine, and they'll likely break other shit like Antifa dies. Probably what they're banking on. Leftists love misery.
I wonder where was the original import location?
Yeah and thank God for their wisdom because I fucking hate tea so god damn much!
Colombia is Black?
Edit - splg
Black people cant invent anything themselves so they always have to take credit for others work.
Can’t invent anything even with crap laying right in front of their eyes. They’ll be staring blankly at the wheel for 100 years meanwhile whites will show up and within 5 minutes look at the wheel, think up a system for its use, and then create that system lol.
All of their thought process devoted to building better mud huts.
Imagine staring at leaves floating on top of a flowing river and never inventing a boat.
All of Africa had canoes and the like. Ethiopia, where coffee came from, had proper sailing vessels (a dhow of some variety)
Coffee comes from Ethiopia which had the wheel before Germanic people.
That being said the wheel is one of the most overrated inventions of all time, Alexander the Great built his empire on the idea that you should eliminate the wheel wherever possible.
I can't wait to see your source for this.
Alexander the Great and the Logistics of the Macedonian Army by Donald Engels.
He's the village-pathological-lying-idiot wherever he goes. Who knows if it's all just some sort of personal joke trolling. Or if he's really so schizophrenic he actually believes the random horse shit that he spills around.
It absolutely does, it extensively talks about his use of pack animals over wheeled carts.
The complaint is about subsaharan africa not having developed the wheel but rather having it introduced by Europeans in the 1600s - when neither had cars nor trucks.
Pack animals are generally better for logistics than wheeled carts unless you have an insane amount of resources to properly pave roads and even then the difference is pretty insignificant.
How do we transport bananas? Land airplanes?
Why would you transport plantains when they are everywhere and a stable crop? Unless you are doing it as a cash crop, which makes minimal sense. No one transported bananas or plantains from midieval Africa to midieval Europe
That being said, put it on a donkey, get it to a boat, then put it on another donkey. That is far faster than wheeled carts.
Look at all the acclaim and hooplah over the movie The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. That kid was invited to speak at the United Nations even. It was this big narrative about the "inginuity" and "resourcefulness" of black Africa.
Yet the entire movie only proves that LITERAL TRASH from white culture is still superior to everything blacks in Africa have have ever done.
Africans blacks couldn't figure out any way to irrigate their crops with well water until some kid stole a 1950s bicycle headlight dynamo and used it to construct something little better than a drip irrigation kit from Home Depot.
Because it generally isn't needed. There is no reason to prefer annual crops over permaculture in subsaharan Africa. breadfruit creates more calories per acre than wheat, as does jackfruit. Not to mention they have so much water that there is no real need to irrigate
I don't think your downvotes are deserved.
You are very correct that culturally there was no need to develop agriculture in Africa because a hunter/gatherer tribe could self-sustain easily in a temperate climate like that. Except the population didn't stay within the bounds of the hunter/gatherer lifestyle.
Also, breadfruit/jackfruit/etc have never been the focus of engineering to maximize production the way staple crops have. Can breadfruit be grown/harvested without massive labor requirements? Is it resistant to weeds and insects? Are there blights that could wipe out the entire crop? Staple crops are so engineered they need nothing but dirt and water and once hydroponics becomes practical they won't even need dirt.
My point was that given a specific need--whatever it is--you shouldn't have to rely on a barge of trash dumped on your continent to be able to solve it. Nobody should be celebrated for mediocrity.
They had agriculture - millet, teff, sorghum, etc on top of those fruits. And palm oil.
They didn't have irrigation. Because why would they need irrigation? Europeans didn't irrigate grain until very modern times. Hell sorghum is literally designed to not be irrigated. It has higher production than any other grain crop when not irrigated.
Now as to why they prefer the fruit trees: Jackfruit produces over 5 times the calories per acre than maize. They are resistant to weeds by being trees. They are resistant to insects by having rinds. They are resistant to blights by not being engineered. They take less labor than grain did before the 19th century.
It just doesn't store easily.
They had grain they chose not to use it because it is just nasty compared to the other stuff they had, it was a survival food that kept for times of famine. Plus sorghum being a source of sugar
Who is "they"?
Are you talking about Malawi, from the movie I referenced? Malawi didn't have any of those things. Per a casual glance at Wikipedia, their staple crops were wheat, potatoes and corn. Corn is 54% of their calorie intake. Their biggest export crop is non-edible tobacco. So yes they needed irrigation.
If you're talking about Africa as a whole, the continent is net food importer.
If you're talking about Africa of the past, that is exactly what I was talking about with simple tribal cultures.
Malawi is literally 100% tropical rainforest, why would they need irrigation? there is water everywhere. Non-irrigated maize grows fine.
George Washington Carver (culturally mis-appropriated White guy's name), managed to smash a peanut with a rock and "invented" peanut butter. Not true, but Blacks insist this is so.
Lol I forgot about “muh peanut butter”
History got the REMIX treatment.
Mine sometimes is, I do like cream every now and then.
Found first in Ethiopia, then the Arabs in Yemen had enough insight to roast the stuff to give us what we have today.
If left to "black peoplez" we'd be eating coffee cherries, not drinking a roasted brew known as Covfefe. Discovering a grain does not give you a claim on the creation of a final product.
No we would be drinking dry process light roast rather than wet process dark roast. I prefer dry process light roast.
Ethiopians ate the cherries raw mixed in with animal fat to sustain them on long hunts, and my guess that also includes trade with Yemen.
I'm a big fan of Ethiopian coffees, but it's suffered tremendously under their stupid warehousing and trading regulations. There's a ton of ruined coffee being blended in with properly processed coffee bringing everything down a notch. The Sidamo Amaro Gayo was one of my favorites about a decade ago, with incredible blueberry notes. I haven't had a lot of Ethiopian coffee that parted the heavens since that one. I can't remember when I've had a decent Yemen coffee, probably over 15 years. Ismaili always impressed me.
I'm guessing you're not a fan of anaerobic processed coffees?
I like Chiapas coffees, which is easy to get here in Mexico. Otherwise, in the US you can get it from the InfoWars store.
I've had coffee from Chiapas, it's good. I've had some great coffee from Oaxaca. Mexican coffees tend to be delicate and acidic (not in a bad way), and do best when given a lighter roast that what is normalized amongst consumers by Starbucks. Odds are there's farmers experimenting with different varietals, fertilizers, cultivation techniques, and processes in micro lot areas on their farms. If you find out about these then jump on the opportunity to taste them.
Here's an old-school Sun-dried processor based in Mexico. http://capulincoffee.com/coffeehistoryinmexico.html
I dont know much of anything about coffee because I never gave a damn to learn, one of my sons knows what I like and I listen to him for what to buy. I have no problem with coffee from a can from WWII with a hamburger that was "rejected from the california penal system - fit for human consumption" when I was in the navy and my standards havent increased much since then. I just prefer the stuff that borderline tastes like tea.
Lol, I've heard about military coffee. You drink it for the caffeine, not the flavor.
Yep. the WWII bit wasn't a joke - clearly packaged in 1944 when I drank it in the late 70s.
One of my sons had coffee packaged during 1952 that he drank in like 1998
Have you watched any of the YouTube channels (I know, YouTube) of the guys eating "vintage" MREs? Pretty amazing. Here's a link to an emergency MRE from the Boer War. https://youtu.be/jZoHuMwZwTk
Coffee originated in Yemen and was first made popular by Sufi Arabs as part of their religious rites.
My coffee says colombia so. . .
Edit - splg
This one goes to eleven!
And it came to Europe after the crusades. Some people wanted to ban it since it's was Arabic/evil, so they brought it to the Pope. He thought it was delicious so he said we're going to baptize it and that's how coffee spread into Europe.
Thank freaking god. I'd have no real reason for living without coffee. I start the day with a shitty Keurig mug before a shower. Then I make a big cup in my moka pot. Then I have an iced cappuccino at lunch. Then a Nespresso around 3:00. Then a pour over or Aeropress cup around 6:00, and usually a latte at 8:00 pm.
Plus I roast my own beans. For any other coffee addicts out there, roasting your own is BY FAR the #1 secret to great coffee. You'll never go back. Most people don't realize coffee beans go stale 3-5 weeks after a roast. The stuff you buy in a grocery store was roasted 6-12 months earlier. Having fresh beans is an entirely different experience.
It's no exaggeration to say that most people have never had a fresh cup of coffee in their life.
Jesus, do experience any kind of time dilation with that much coffee?
Anything to keep your spin rate up.
coffee plants originated in Ethiopia
And after thousands of years, some medieval Arabs noticed it and figured out you can make a tasty drink from it.
Nope, Ethiopia made a drink out of it
You just make shit up.
Only when it suits the narrative. Otherwise they are White Hispanic or White Supremacy Adjacent.
I will now enjoy my coffee even more.
I don’t even drink it and I’m tempted.
Dam I need some coffee right now!!! My vitamins W and S are low.
Boats. Boats were used to transport slaves across the ocean. If you like boats, then you are racist and you support white supremacy.
And boats are made of wood so anything made of wood is also racist
Including the trees themselves. I heard the trees were actually used to lynch people, therefore trees are racist and should be removed from all areas to create a safe space.
Wood is used to build houses, so houses are racist! Anyone living in a wood house is a racist!
The trees are in the soil, and since they're racist all the soil is racist too.
There ae propaganda pieces saying how shade in cities is raist and how the smoke from peaceful riot fires targetted black people lungs more
Slave owners breathed air, so if you breathe air you are a racist.
Does it weigh the same as a witch?
Damn how much I like boats.
That's because you like the slave trade.
Thanks CNN! You helped me realize how harmful my microaggressions are, I decided to switch to macroagressions for full effect.
Negative press Covfefe!
"Yea, that's right, White people, stop drinking coffee!"
"How White people destroyed 'black' nations and 'their' industries by boycotting the coffee these nations and industries developed around the popular drink."
"White people stopped drinking coffee because it came from Africa. How avoidance is racism."
The wheel spins, the jesters dance. The show goes on.
Sounds like a fair trade.
And who do you think is largely responsible for all this black washing?... White people 🤣
It would be far easier to list at this point to list what lSN’T white supremacy.
You'd be staring at a blank page
That would be racist as it would be a white sheet.
Wtf I love white sheets now.
Every time you buy Dunkin’s, it’s like George Floyd gets murdered again, so drink up
He committed suicide via a fentanyl overdose.
Hey there was nothing at all strange about his banana dance
i want to put a knee on the handle of my coffee now
I guess I'll enjoy my coffee even more now.. Thanks!
WEEZ CREATED COFFEE AN SHIET
Uhm yes it was and still is, it comes from Ethiopia and they still drink it there.
everyone drinks it everywhere.
This line of thinking doesn't have a very good end.
Demonic to only seek to destroy rather than build.
Like Jews before WWII: guilty of all social ills.
Coffee was made by sub Saharan Africa?
Edit: nope, quick wiki refreshed my memory that it’s origins are indeed Arabs, not Africans.
Coffee plants first discovered in Ethiopia
Looks like the Arabs in Yemen learned how to roast the beans, grind them into powder and make a drink from them
Dried was probably the only way to transport them. Then they're kinda hard and dry to chew so grind and add water. Not sure how they moved on to hot water but that improved the caffeine availability. I think I recall hearing they didn't use filters.
They boiled water because not boiling water is how you died of squirts. They drank hot drinks because while deserts are hot as shit during the day, they are freezing cold at night. They drank coffee over anything else because coffee gives you a chemically induced buzz, and they were religiously banned from getting buzzed off booze.
Combine these things, and you got yourself a hot cup of Arabic Joe. Or as they call him in Arabia: Muhammad.
Nope, the drink comes from Ethiopia, wet process comes from Yemen while Ethiopia had dry process coffee
Thanks for posting- I read the superb article "“Virginity” is an outdated—and yes, white supremacist—concept" and feel so much better about my "racist" thinking.
Basically white supremacy is anything that only whites can do which is investigate their surroundings even in distant lands and find interesting new things to use and create from what they find.
At this point if a black person does anything remotely efficiency oriented that’s called white supremacy too. You don’t even have to be white these days.
Lots of young black kids are picked on by other blacks solely cause they want to do well in school and are told they’re acting white.
It’s not the man or whitey holding blacks back, it’s themselves.
Gotta keep that class warfare fodder going.
Ok, blacks aren't allowed to use computers anymore, fair trade.
According to liberals they don’t know how to anyway.
ITS NOT COFFEE. ITS COVFEFE
Throwback to this classic gem.
I remember even the hipsters thought it was ridiculous.
All those people now definitely agree with this. Every hipster faggot I’ve ever met is on board with this.
Oh for sure. Fuckin’ hipsters.
Just ranting: There’s a difference between being creative as a musician or artist who actually has a vision, vs being someone who just wants the image or title of being deep/interesting/smart and virtue signal with articles like this. They waste a lot of time and money chasing that image, and none of them think for themselves.
Starcucks files chapter 11!
More coffee it is then.
Next up: speaking english is racist. We know its coming.
we wuz collectivists n shieeeet
or was Karl Marx appropriating black culture by not working?
you can pry my covfefe out of my cold dead hands.
Afru.com is a legit website, and they are serious about what they say.
They are so over the top they seem like a parody site, but they're for real...
No published date on the site … strange. Stranger still is the need from the left to shame you for every life choice you make, including the type of beverages you drink
They're a bunch of weirdos who hate everything, including themselves. Misery loves company so of course they want to destroy any trace of happiness in others.
Dude those comments and the names!
Holy shit that's gold
I think the site is satire because they "cancelled" commenting but left those up.
It seems like it but I still got a great laugh out of those
We wuz Aztec n sheit!
Invented by black people for black people. Lol. What a fucking ignoramus.
Howard Schultz has a very joo sounding name.
It's all so tiresome . . .
This is an actual article. I now have brain aids
Damn coffee! Damn it to Hell!
Preeeeeeetty sure the Arabs invented coffee in the old world. And Arabs ain't black.
I will drink my racist coffee with white supremacists milk while at church this morning
Don't forget the sugar that black slave labor made possible on the sugarcane plantations in the 18th century.
