In college, the IFC was ran by black women and a sus black dude. We would all get paired with a sorority and black fraternity/sorority during homecoming week.
The white sororities and fraternities built the float and paid for the materials. The black groups never showed up until food was provided. Of course they left after finishing the food we paid for.
This seems really apparent on it's face. Yeah, you're not a "community" if you all have massive differences. A community is literally people who share some form of values. An easy way to demonstrate this to the average person is that you don't go out looking for a roommate who is as different as possible from you. You would hate each other. If people were allowed to homogenize, race probably wouldn't be a massive factor either, but we have elites who specifically try their hardest to pit different races against each other and force them to be different, while simultaneously saying those people should interact as much as possible. Then they run on "fixing" what results from that.
I used to not agree, but now I can say rather objectively that it is indeed reality. It just is what it is. Which is why I live the way that I do now. I've done everything I could to live amongst only white people. My entire neighborhood is white, except for an Asian family that are more private than us. The city has done a great job at keeping blacks to the inner city, and I hope they continue this wonderful practice forever.
When you add silver, nickel and other metals to pure gold; you don't get more diverse gold. You get a far less valuable alloy. Diversity is that alloy.
Oh, now that was an unfortunate metaphor. You’ve stumbled upon one of those things that literally depends on diversity for its strength. For most applications, pure gold is too soft. That’s why most jewelry for example is 14k gold. You can get 18k gold jewelry but it depends on what kind of jewelry, because even 18k is terribly susceptible to damage and wear.
That said, my response only pertains to your metaphor, and your choice of gold. The sociological claim that diversity is our strength is complete nonsense.
I'm not sure where that phrase diversity is a strength came from, but there's simply no actual evidence for it. I feel they try to conflate things like biodiversity, which is a good thing, into their vision of diversity
This was right before they (the left) switched DEI to mean something else.
There were studies in the 90s that actually shows diversity improved performance but the difference here is that the word 'Diversity' had its definition changed around the time of this article.
Earlier studies referred to diversity as 'differences of POV, opinions or ideas'. Different ideas in the workplace. That's what diversity used to mean. Same for communities as well. Diversity used to mean different thinkers.
There was very little connection to 'race' or 'ethnicity'. Then it was changed to what the article here shows to promote the racial divide. Then you get these studies from the 2000s that show it sucks. Then you start seeing grants go to groups that always promote the worst studies to defend 'diversity', a now racially charged concept.
So... does this article/study refer to "diversity" as an area with a mixture of different races/cultures (with non-whites/recent illegal immigrants over-represented for their average amount of the populace, ie black population over 14%, gay over < 3%, etc etc) or do they mean "diversity" as an urban "white replacement" scenario, as in a city where the demographics are the reverse of average population? (ie an area where "white flight" and high murder/violent-crime rates leave that area with an unusually-small white population.)
For example, Detroit is 77% black/12.9 % white. Those figures are the reverse of the average populace, which the Tolerant Left would call a "triumph of diversity" by their re-definition of "diversity" as "exclusion/minimization of white people."
That’s me. I gave cash regularly to my local food bank for a couple years.
Once I realized my money was going to the same useless group of people I quickly stopped.
We have this ‘historic’ black neighborhood that has been a shithole for decades, despite all the rampant growth all around.

Perfect representation of society now.
Like a neighborhood cleanup. Nogs do the littering, whites do the cleanup. Very rare to see one volunteer unless it’s to get a day off work.

Really? A 99% divorce rate? That's amazing...
More leftist stromfag bullshit :p
Oh piss off with your stormfuck bullshit.
The only reality you’re dealing with is the fact that you are a friggin idiot.

no shit. pedant.
You obviously don’t understand the meaning of that word.
Lolllll uhuh. "One who ostentatiously exhibits academic knowledge or who pays undue attention to minor details or formal rules."
Brilliant comment
Plus, ya know, the huge increase in raping, robbing, and murdering. 😉
Lots of words to say a diverse community loses its sense of community ...
When did we start trusting what "Harvard political scientists" say?
I have traveled all over the world...... anywhere I go, the darker to avg skin tone, the more dangerous the area. Not joking

Same place as "C○€×!$+"
It's
They mean THEIR strength, not ours.
Diversity is not a strength for We The People.

Leftists are so fucking disingenuous.
This explains why woke diverse companies are going broke. Be careful what you wish for. 🤣 🤣 🤣
diversity is intended to blend out the white humans.
It's not a civic strength.
It's a cabal strength.

"shocking"
Wait, I thought race was a social construct. Did it change?
Gee. Who would've thought?
No shit.
What a headscratcher.
Birds of a feather flock together… Who knew😂😂😂🤡
Any movement involved with hedonism can be considered maliciously retarded.
Someone is posting a 15 year old news article.
Let's sow as much division as possible....
If it were true, they wouldn’t be saying it all the time.

Yea, because "Harvard political scientists" are always right :p
