Idk they have a lot of confidence criticizing their base when simping for media points. Maybe what we diagnose as "lack of balls" is actually "misaligned values". They dont fight for us because they dont really care about our worldview, they just say they do for the votes and campaign donations. They have plenty of nerve when it comes time to flip us off and show what they really stand for.
I'm with you in spirit Trump, but I agree with DeSantis on cutting Social Security and Medicare. In fact, I'd like to have them ABOLISHED.
Social Security in particular is reprehensible. It's a LIFELONG government program that you are FORCED to participate in, and it provides a reprehensible and pathetic return on someone's "investment".
But of course it's not actually an "investment" as some people think anyway. The government isn't holding your money for you. It's FORCING you to pay for seniors on the promise that government will also force someone else to pay for you later on. If you happen to die before you reach that age, oh well. Bummer for you. The government just keeps it.
You either believe in freedom or you don't. Individuals should be free to manage their own damn money and their own damn retirements.
Then there's also the little fact that we are DROWNING in debt, and Social Security and Medicare are our two largest budget items. Over a trillion a year each. They are obliterating our economy. One way or another, their days are numbered. Either we choose to end those programs and save the economy, or the economy implodes and they're gone anyway.
I am for abolishing as well. But no cutting. It is a Ponzi Scheme. It could be successful but government intentionally fucked it up stole money from us.
Social Security and Medicare are the two biggest budget items, but those programs also bring in a shitload of federal taxes. All Congress needs to do is get the inflows and outflows balanced again.
Abolishing those programs is never going to happen. You need to think realistically. Our ancestors accepted the establishment of a FORCED-participation savings program because they got tired of watching millions of Americans save nothing for retirement and then burden the rest of us with their poverty in old age.
The trust fund running out of money just means you may not get the full Social Security amount you are entitled to by law. There would still be workers working, paying into Social Security every month. That money is used to pay your reduced benefits.
Also, this is mostly a theoretical situation since Congress will surely change the law to fix the problem. A combination of increasing Social Security deductions, reducing benefits, or demographic change in the number of workers and retirees, will get the inflows and outflows balanced again.
Abolishing Social Security will never happen, because our ancestors already lived like that and it sucked. There are millions of Americans who are not capable of responsibly saving a portion of their income for retirement, and so they WILL reach old age with zero savings, and either work themselves to death or become unable to work and a burden on society. Most people aren't willing to watch the elderly starve and die in the streets, so they fill up shelters and charitable organizations and hospitals costing us millions of dollars, because they chose to save nothing for retirement. The whole point of Social Security is to force everyone to make minimal savings for retirement, to pay for your own basic needs and medical expenses in old age.
Time to get expectations straight early. Fed employees have civil protections (thanks JFK!) and most cannot be fired. Also, Congress needs to approve all cabinet members. This sucks but is reality.
Yep. That is one thing I think Trump was not prepared for when he first took office. As a private boss he could hire and fire at will. Not true in government. He has learned.
The same hiring/firing constraints will be upon DeSantis or any other R. They of course will not be on any D, as those guys never fire anyone (because they're all deep state) and get their cabinet appointments rubber stamped most of the time, even by a Republican Senate.
Not sure about how we would know that. What I know is that Trump started calling out Ron months ago because he knew Ron was running. That turned out to be correct even though many questioned why Trump would attack DeSantis
So I have no reason to doubt Trump on this. It's a fact that Ron is backed by globalists, it's also a fact that if those globalists see DeSantis can't win they will pivot towards Trump to try and buy some influence
Right-wing donors want to buy influence, while left-wing donors want to buy elections. Retarded boomer faggots just want a DeSantis to stroke their dicks before their hearts give out while the country burns.
I don't even recall DeSantis ever coming out and saying that he was. I think there were just loud mouth idiots on the left pushing this narrative to divide us, which it nearly did.
This is why President Trump is unique in politics.
HE CAN'T BE FUCKING BOUGHT!
God bless President Trump!
Oh, and by the way, Death To Globalists and the Deep State!
Exactly why I love Trump. He is his own man.
Totally. And funny, clever, gutsy and entertaining with it! There has NEVER been a President like him.
That and balls. Balls were the missing ingredient from Republicans for a long damn time.
Idk they have a lot of confidence criticizing their base when simping for media points. Maybe what we diagnose as "lack of balls" is actually "misaligned values". You make a good point.
Damn right there.
But he can be threatened...why the hell did he back down J6?
He said he will pardon all J6 jailers. Back then, he probably didn't have info that rioters were actually FBI informant.
there is a reason to everything he does.
Need to be a billionaire or a bum
Or a stubborn doctor like Ron Paul.
"I don't take their calls..."
Sounds like a Perfect call to me!
Social security shouldn't exist. I can't afford a house or a family - i shouldn't pay for someone's $40,000 hip replacement.
Yeah, but boomers will vote against anyone who would get rid of it, so we're stuck paying for that ponzi scheme until it collapses.
What the fuck room does Trump have on COVID? His response to it was a total disaster. He didn't even have the balls to fire Fauci
I'm with you in spirit Trump, but I agree with DeSantis on cutting Social Security and Medicare. In fact, I'd like to have them ABOLISHED.

Abolishing =/ cutting.
I am for abolishing as well. But no cutting. It is a Ponzi Scheme. It could be successful but government intentionally fucked it up stole money from us.
So, do you want to to cut off all those 64/65 year olds. Where do you draw the line.
Social Security and Medicare are the two biggest budget items, but those programs also bring in a shitload of federal taxes. All Congress needs to do is get the inflows and outflows balanced again.

Trump better bring this same energy when vetting ever single new hire. He also better FIRE every Obama, Biden and Pence holdover day fucking one.
Time to get expectations straight early. Fed employees have civil protections (thanks JFK!) and most cannot be fired. Also, Congress needs to approve all cabinet members. This sucks but is reality.
Well said.
When the only choices they allow you are turds, then don't be surprised when you get served a shit sandwich.
Yep. That is one thing I think Trump was not prepared for when he first took office. As a private boss he could hire and fire at will. Not true in government. He has learned.

Excellent news, thank you.
Gawd damn!! Trump with the first round knock out!
Social Security and Medicare should be abolished. If we don't voluntarily abolish then, we will be forced to abolish them as our economy collapses.
Don is obsessed with Ron the same way Saul was obsessed with David, which ended up being Saul's downfall
In just a few days Ron has exposed himself as another bought and paid for politician. Sad!
What are less than average numbers on COVID? We still pushing these lies?
That meatball got marinated.
LOL.
We havent heard of any Ditching Ron. Who exactly?
cause it would be in the news Someplace and We haven't had any Stories of this
nope, Cant Stand him. Im just giving a fact
Not sure about how we would know that. What I know is that Trump started calling out Ron months ago because he knew Ron was running. That turned out to be correct even though many questioned why Trump would attack DeSantis

Savage.
This is called the coup de grace.
I don't even recall DeSantis ever coming out and saying that he was. I think there were just loud mouth idiots on the left pushing this narrative to divide us, which it nearly did.
