AI scares the crap out of me. Image generation is getting pretty good, and can often create images that take a discerning eye to identify as AI-generated. ChatGPT is incredibly good at what it does and in short sections can create strings of text that give no indication of being artificial. Dudes are getting hooked on AI bots like Replika.
I already distrust most of what I see on the internet, and the addition of AI makes me distrust things even more than I already do.
It's telling that they created a tool to kill jobs of people already living borderline poverty wages, but have no interest in bringing down the price of things people actually need to be cheaper like healthcare, surgery, etc.
I've been through the Heart Attack repair assembly line in the hospital. Not a bad thing. Reduces costs, and errors with standardization. Mistakes cost money. But, the reduced costs made by mass production are not passed to the consumer. But it does make the hospitals a crapload of $$$ overall.
At this rate I may one day end up agreeing with Dems that healthcare should be a human right. I'm pretty friggin sick of seeing them send money to Ukraine, bail out banks, and just flush our money down the Chinese toilet. But it doesn't think, it regurgitates what it's been fed according to the weights and measures deemed appropriate by those running it.

They'll be able to create videos of people doing and saying things they never did and then ruin innocent people's lives. Any tech professionals who's wiling to testify the evidence is manufactured will be threatened and probably suicided or imprisoned permanently. That's where this goes.
