I'm sorry, but did people not do these things successfully in the past? Didn't Europeans basically build the modern world?

Here's something that was never done in Europe: successful and long lasting subjugation of the continent under one regime. It happened 1000+ years ago in China (to their detriment), and now these goons are trying to get it done in Europe.
