Most ppl paying for health insurance are still paying out the ass for everything medical. Pay over $300/month for an individual plan through an employer and still charged $100+ for a basic 15 minute checkup is a scam. GoodRX gets you cheaper prescriptions than most insurance plans... Vision coverage? Another $25/month and $100+ annual eye exam and they save you a bit on $400 glasses/contacts, when tons of websites selling the same stuff for like $20.. and you get a second pair free.
They monopolized health care/insurance to a point where we're paying a premium to get what used to be uninsured prices. Can't even get an estimate for treatment until they send you a bill. It's a cluster fuck.
The deals the government works out with its contractors basically are that the government bleeds money and the contractors rake it in, just guaranteed no matter how bad they fuck up. And they put some people to work at the same time, so it looks good.

If there’re complaints about issues of individual cost, you can try for a system that can assist with that individual cost rather than funding a giant waste.
