What the hell was that kid on? Anyways, awesome response by the officer and a well deserved shooting.
The taser seemed woefully ineffective and I'm not sure what his deal was but that little ass weak psycho was out for blood.
A sad incident but the officer didn't have much of a choice. A hero officer would have challenged him in combat to their own death, saving his life if the officer wins. The smart officer with a family who wants him home shoots first and doesn't ask questions later.
I definitely dont agree. Knowing zero about this persons motivations outside of this interaction.... he was unarmed, and MUCH smaller than the cop. The cop could have pepper sprayed and tackled him easily. I could have taken this kid to the ground myself without breaking a sweat, WITHOUT pepper spray or a baton.. Ill reap downvotes, but simply being pushed and grabbed by someone half your size should not be license to kill them. Pepper spray him, give him some lumps with the baton...
The cops first mistake was worrying about talking when the kid was being tased. When he said "dont fuckin touch me" He should have been on top of the suspect and subduing him, not waiting to see if he would be a good boy after the taser or not. He already had a justifiable arrest, and he hesitated, allowing the suspect to get back up for another try, but the taser had already been deployed. Legal experts and police procedure analysts are going to rip this one to shreds, and considering the size disparity and the fact that he was unarmed, this kill may not even hold up in court. Downvote away. If the title had said "drunk trump supporter" instead of leftie, youd agree with me, and thats the problem. You have no idea if "leftie" is even true. You see a lot of leftie youth clean cut and wearing suits? I dont.
I don't ultimately disagree, but it seems the suspect was unarmed? I would like it if our police force was capable of dealing with an unarmed skinny dude with hand to hand methods rather than using lethal force on someone that (lets be honest) does not appear to be a real threat to life. Yes crazy, yes breaking the law, but why can't we expect our law enforcement to be able to hit a MFer in the face or choke them out in this situation?
I get where you’re coming from, but there are two problems here:
Engaging a drugged-up hostile in hand to hand combat is incredibly risky, lots of variables. Cops have been disarmed and shot with their own guns before. People on drugs don’t always stop even after being shot, and that goes even more so for any less lethal or hand to hand force. Drugs tend to make the user stronger than usual by lowering their inhibitions and dulling pain, advantages that a sober cop has to overcome; that requires a ranged force multiplier like a firearm.
Like it or not, having a cop choke someone out or beat the snot out of them with a baton is a really bad look. In an ideal society the public would blame the criminal, but we don’t exactly have an ideal society at the moment. The public consists largely of people who have never had to fight in their lives, yet play armchair quarterback and accuse police of being to brutal no matter what.
I get where you're coming from and I agree if it was a civilian being attacked. Since it's a police officer being attacked, I think we should have a higher standard of both fitness and ability in general, and I don't think attacking a cop unarmed should be a death penalty, obviously it's a difficult area because each case and situation is different.
Attacking a cop isn’t a death penalty; people survive gunshot wounds from police all the time.
As I mentioned earlier, cops occasionally get disarmed and shot with their own guns when things go hand to hand. So there’s really no such thing as an “unarmed” person attacking a cop. They’re unarmed so far.
Ha that's a ridiculous argument. With that logic if you are armed, anyone around you is also armed. If that's such a big worry, i guess cops shouldn't have guns unless they can show considerable physical fighting ability to minimize the chances of anyone overcoming them and taking their gun.
It shouldnt have gotten to hand to hand. The cop should have immediately got on top of the suspect after the tase instead of standing there and tough talking like a rookie giving the suspect and chance to stand back up and knock out the trodes.
Nobody should be forced to reduce their ability to defend themselves from a life threatening attacker. Unarmed initially, you don't know what they have. Also the possibility of drugs which may enhance the attackers ability without being as obvious as a gun.
Cops don't stand for the people enough any more, but this is a clear situation where they didn't have another choice. Don't be so forgiving to idiots or you'll end up getting fucked yourself.
I agree nobody should, as long as they are citizens. Police officers should be held to a higher standard in my opinion.
I'm not forgiving of idiots, I just know a lot of cops misuse the threat of force and "feel threated" and "fear for their life" if anyone just questions them let alone lays hands on them.
If it were a woman or a grandma or even just a regular dude, id agree with you, but this is, allegedly, a "trained" cop, and one twice his size wearing body armor. If the title hadnt said leftie in it, more people here would be questioning this shoot, thats a fact.
The way he threw a temper tantrum when he realized he was going to get a little bit of a spanking then got enraged after a bigger spanking pretty much says nobody spent any time raising him.
One of my kids tried that temper tantrum shit after I spanked him once and I paddled his again ass even harder and made him kneel in the corner for about half an hour on top of it. He hasn't tried that shit again.
Spanking isn't about punishment, it's about teaching them to have impulse control, because what you get when you don't have it is shot.
This is one of the cleanest shoots I've ever seen from a cop.
*Dumbass escalated, cop tried to de-escalate and told him to back off.
*Dumbass attacked, cop attempted de-escalation by tazing/ arrest.
*Dumbass reengaged, cop tried de-escalation by retreat when he lost the tazer.
*Dumbass attacked again then got put down.
That was three chances he had. Most people are lucky to get one these days the way the cops are usually power tripping.
Holy shit.

Happy the officer made it home safely.

MAKE BILLY CLUBS GREAT AGAIN!
Ah, yes -- the old "Hickory Shampoo"

The perp shouldn’t have been on drugs and shouldn’t have been resisting arrest. That’s what you get when you play the “should have” game.
I rest my case.
None of those are death penalty crimes, and the officer had a chance to subdue the suspect and failed to do so.
Nobody should be forced to reduce their ability to defend themselves from a life threatening attacker. Unarmed initially, you don't know what they have. Also the possibility of drugs which may enhance the attackers ability without being as obvious as a gun.

A cocktail of soy, meth and estrogen.
He looked like a leftist. Quality content.
Fucking nutter, that's what you call suicide by cop.
He was maybe a vaxx zombie. He seemed robitic in his presence and movements.
Yes, the taser just annoyed him. . .looked like he was ready to kill the officer. I'm glad the cop got off a couple rounds first.
He earned it.
Of that was a black guy...
it would be st floid all over again but with an actual legitimate complaint.
That cop should of been able to handle that little guy without killing him.
Fucked around and found out…I blame his father.
When an armed black person gets shot after assaulting cops, the media fags scream "use non lethal"! Here - crickets!
Zombie wants brains, tries to get brains, gets tazed, gets back up screams braaaaains! and tries again then gets shot. Win.
It's sad to think someone wasted years raising him so he could waste his life by getting shot by some random police officer
WTH is wrong with this world
The way he threw a temper tantrum when he realized he was going to get a little bit of a spanking then got enraged after a bigger spanking pretty much says nobody spent any time raising him.
