Their suffering would be over quickly without the agony of living with mutilated genitals, and that’s a lot less cruel than lying to these people and pretending they can ever be the opposite sex. It would be far more agonizing as a parent to know your child is out there, living an impossible lie, than it would to know that their earthly suffering is over. What’s really more cruel here? Here are the things I noticed:
the boy had decided to play around with his gender because of things he came across on the internet and in school.
When the parents (divorced and the boy spends most of his time with his dad), went through the initial phase, there was hardly any actual therapy or discernment on the part of the gender clinic staff. It was pushed through.
During the therapy sessions, the boy then under the age of 14, was kept in the room even though topics that are known social contagions such s suicide were brought up - by the therapist. The mother believes it was brought up in such a way as to entice the boy to threaten suicide if he didn't get puberty blockers.
There was never any discussion about the biological impossibility of actually becoming the opposite sex, what this would entail for the rest of his life or the harm that this would cause him such as inability to get an erection. Also, the harms weren't verbally discussed but given in a handout that was two pages and also part of a larger packet of information.
The boy tried to commit suicide at the age of 14 and stayed at the gender clinic for a time that seemed long to me. The boy asked to go home but was not "allowed" nor was contact with the parents. Instead of reassessing the subcutaneous puberty blockers embedded under his skin, the staff did not even consider this a possibility.
All of the boy's worsening mental health, weight gain of over 30 lbs (pretty big weight gain for a boy in less than a year that is on puberty blockers), grades that went from A's and B's to D's F's. Loss of interest in things he used to be interested in. Refusal of a non affiliated pediatric clinic to remove the puberty blockers.
All problems catered to while implementing the insertion of puberty blockers but roadblocks and obstacles put up by the doctors and staff in the mother's attempt to get he puberty blocker removed from the body.
That last point is huge for me because one of the selling points to parents is that the puberty blockers can be discontinued at any time but gender clinics are making it extremely difficult for parents to get the embedded puberty blockers removed from the child and also, other medical professionals are refusing to remove the puberty blockers.
Nothing less than satanic.

Take any person whose beliefs or hopes do not match with reality.
Take someone who is delusional and thinks they can fly, or, more down-to-earth, someone who always believed they could be a great actor, or a major-league baseball player, but after a decade of trying, they are having to admit that it might not happen.
That person might be depressed. And how do we deal with that situation? Through friends, or therapy, we help that person see reality more clearly, such that they can deal with their sadness, and live a renewed, happier life.
But what does the LGBTQ lobby tell us we must do in the case of someone who believes they are in the wrong body, or desires to be the opposite sex? Do we help those people see reality? Nope -- we are told that we must go along with the delusion, or unrealistic desire, and that we are to tell that person that they are right, and it's reality (and other people) that must change to suit them.
But then, reality doesn't change, and attempts to simulate the delusion, say through surgery, fall far short of what was promised.
With an agenda designed, not to help people accept reality, but to take them farther away from it, it's no wonder the suicide rate is so high.
