never understood that million monkeys thing...i remember it something like "a million monkey on a million typewriters will eventually write Hamlet" or something? but honestly there are so many variables on which key to blindly press coincidentally enough times that it would STILL take a metric shitload of years to randomly crank out hamlet, and if that's the case, then the expression works just as well as "a monkey on a typewriter will eventually write hamlet" because the length of time required, while ridiculous, is really no more ridiculous than in the original expression
Best part:
The monkeys produced five pages of text, mainly composed of the letter S, but failed to type anything close to a word of English, broke the computer and used the keyboard as a lavatory.
Not trying to defend the FDA here, but there are a ton of medical devices out there and it's probably a good thing that they're tested and accountable to some kind of regulation. Insulin pumps, Continuous Glucose Monitors, CPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, etc. It's not uncommon to have a function that doesn't match an agency name in government. The Department of Energy manages nuclear weapons, Secret Service protects the president, but also investigates counterfeiting as examples.
No, it's not Mark of the Breast,
it's Elon of the Beast.
P.S.
I have the God given right to throw a bucket of salt water on anything that acts, talks, or communicates like a human or uses any human languages.
This product has a lot of criticism from the left and right side ideologies. That being said, I’m really interested to see how the left will astroturf and censor until it’s embraced by them.
Just like assisted suicide, that'll last for like 10 minutes until it tumbles off the slippery slope and the focus switches to beaming ads directly into the consumer's brains.
Go read the "privacy" terms of service on anything made by or offered by Google. Now imagine that inserted into your fucking brain with Klaus Schwab behind the scenes in a BDSM outfit.
Don't take the hysterical Pim Tool type take on this. Neurolink is used to give amputees the ability control mechanical limbs. There's no bloody mind control nonsense involved.
Drop the NPC argument. My concerns are completely valid. They have nothing to do with curing disease. I do not believe you do not know this. We can read what the ghouls at WEF have to say about the human mind. This is enough for revolution.
You believe you have a right to invade the human psyche and hand it over to Klaus Schwab in a gimp suit because of someone else's pain and suffering? Get bent.
Luddites in the 1800s feared the machines upsetting the status quo (ie. taking their jerbs), so they sought to sabotage the machines. You tried to somehow associate this with the 4th and 5th amendment.
Like the Luddites, you fear AI and it upsetting the status quo.
What are you basing this notion on? The historical record has not been kind. Why would you not be suspicious of "AI and human integration"? Why would you not be concerned on the potential for abuse with such technology?
Do you trust people we see who oppose us with control over not only your personal data, but a full readout on your conscious? No questions here are allowed and if someone like myself shows skepticism, they should be mocked?
You know, you might be right. There are people that want to invade your brain, but they didn’t need a neuralink to do it. You’re living proof that a person’s brain can be invaded and filled with idiotic garbage with no neuralink required. Neuralink might actually be able to help with that, but I have no doubt that you would prefer ignorance and stupidly.
You believe you have a right to invade the human psyche and hand it over to Klaus Schwab in a gimp suit because of someone else's pain and suffering? Get bent.
Calling people stupid when you write something so obviously stupid would be embarrassing if you weren't stupid.
Google doesn't make the Neuralink.
No one said they did nor was this implied. I don't need to explain anything further as you are not qualified to discuss this topic. Or debate rules, etiquette, standards, etc.
Now imagine someone who is blind being able to see a little bit better. They drop their life savings into their implants. The company goes bankrupt a year later and now they're in the dark.
This is how they sold stem cell research too. But it's mostly there for a "fee fee" story to sell the public. It's not what the goal of the research or even the main function is. It's just "how can you argue with this!?" talking point.
I'm not down for them being dependent for the rest of their lives on the medical industrial complex and whatever quality of device happened to be implanted in their brains when they had the injury.
The thing is.. you're almost certainly not getting your implant swapped out. Ever. Even in this case, they had to reuse what was previously there, because you don't do two brain surgeries just to swap parts.
So.. in the grand scheme of things, "implantable" technologies are the bottom of the totem pole. The lowest level thing. The worst thing. The most compromised thing. It has to be implanted into your brain, ffs. You should want anything that might work above this.
Kinda like the implant to connect the frontal cortex (optical nerves, not frontal cortex) for people with certain kinds of blindness to see low quality black and white images with special sensor glasses but after the company went under nobody was able really handle the repair or replacement of the implants when they started going bad or acting up. It's a cool thing that hopefully works for the people who need it, but maybe we can try to find something more biologically linked first?
This is exactly what the device is currently being sold as and approved for. I hope it stays true to it's purpose.
I've been involved in medical devices, and from my humble perspective a device to control or even influence the human brain is far off into the future. But one can never be certain. :)
Yeh. I understand 100% the fear of what humanity will become when it becomes commonplace for people to have all kinds of wild tech implants, but the potential to help people RIGHT NOW is just too great
They've already used neural networks to allow machines to interpret accurate images from what a person see's, and can even extend to images within thoughts.
But besides everything else, the simple fact remains: If you have a device in you that allows you to control motor functions....then someone else controlling that device can also control your motor functions. Combine that with being able to intercept thoughts, and even being able to implant thoughts by the reverse of the same process.....and you have what is essentially physical and mind control. They don't even need to be able to control your mind if they're controlling your body. Although obviously it would be easier to obscure if they could control your mind.
Basically, we're not that far off from these types of control becoming fully possible. First they'll introduce it as medical advancements, then they'll introduce it as law enforcement, where they can make people actually freeze to await being arrested. And somewhere in between, it will be abused in every way it can be. They'll even eventually mandate chips to be implanted in every newborn so they don't have to worry about personal choice getting in the way later. And they'll sell it by saying it's much safer to do as a newborn than as an adult, due to how much simpler the procedure would be on a newborn.
They'll also use luring perks like future employment opportunities in newborns that get brain chipped, along with other perks like monitoring your child's health for early warning to ailments. It'll be like Gattaca, except with brain chips instead of just genetics.
No doubt such technology can be used for good....the problem is the world simply isn't in a state where it would be used responsibly. The same people creating it are the same people who want to use it for control. Same with AI. It will ultimately be used for evil, and while that can be said about previous inventions too, the problem here is that it's soo encompassing that it's a kill shot to humanity, once they get control and spread it, freedom is done.
Ultimately, the society that is able to successfully reject these things, will fare far better. For example, if the US rejected it but China went full force on it, they would become dependent on it. Their dependence on it would be their weakness. Use EMP or some other means to disable the chips, and their society built on it, collapses. People, used to being told what to thing, no longer know how to think for themselves. They become worms wriggling in the soil.
And they'll sell it by saying it's much safer to do as a newborn than as an adult, due to how much simpler the procedure would be on a newborn.
Cerebral circumcision. And just like penile circumcision it's more to the benefit of vampires in the medical industry and government, though at least women don't get their beauty products from it.
All true, but it's unstoppable at this point. We can't stop the Japanese firms working on it or the Israelis, Chinese, Indian, Germans...
Personally, I think some kind of neural link is the only chance we have of controlling the advance of artificial intelligence.
It's all very fragile, though, as you point out. Ransomware, malware, unintentional software bugs, solar flares, tasers. There's a million things that could fuck it all up.
Also, Neuralink 3.0, or whatever Apple has up their sleeves with the latest build of their AR device being announced in a couple weeks, will be a non-invasive BCI. Probably with a battery puck in your pocket with all the processing done by your phone filled with AI tensor processing cores.
Maybe it can go full wireless. Wireless earbuds give a solid 4+ hours of output + noise cancelling and charge right back up to full in less than an hour.
Use something like that bone conducting technology and you could probably access brainwaves.
So, what with only having the ability to enable and potentially control these basic primal motor functions you're basically saying they could create cyber zombies.
It's setting the bar low, but that's the most evil thing that I could think of that they could do with the tech at this point.
Is this a Musk thing......Deep state told him to employ that witch as Ceo twatter and if he was a good boy they'd let him start on hooking us up to a fkn machine lol
That's silly, it could absolutely never ever be mandatory, people wouldn't ever stand for that, especially not in the US. It would be like forced medical procedures, which we all know society completely is against and would definitely never push and people would definitely never accept.
When I was younger I loved the idea of a cyberpunk future. I adored Ghost in the Shell, Deus Ex 1, Neuromancer, Akira, later on Deux Ex Human Revolution. It seemed like a generally cool future. But the thing was... It was all based on times they were made it. They weren't dystopian all that much, general western values still existed across society (even in the anime). Freedom, liberty, privacy, were all still reasonable normal and expected.
It felt like the 90s and 2000s but with advanced medical tech to make our bodies durable, and extend life. And of course police and military applications. Despite the problems that certainly came with the stories and technology it was almost hopeful since they were never complete dystopian stories.
But the WEF and others dont want that future... They want the total dystopian version. They want full control over our minds at all times. They want us to be THE BORG.
So is this a food, or a drug
^^^MOST UNDERSTATED COMMENT
I can help.
SO IS THIS A FUCKING FOOD OR A DRUG OR WHAT THE FUCK
It's a Medical Hardware Device.
Looks like you've had to much to THINK today!
Meme they want to make a reality
It's initial use is supposed to help with spinal injuries. Help people walk and THINK again, so you've stumbled onto something. :)
A million monkeys typing...
It was the best of times, it was the BLURST of times!?…Stupid monkey!
LOL. Shock The Monkey!
SIMPSONS DID IT
Just in time for Biden to “debate”
never understood that million monkeys thing...i remember it something like "a million monkey on a million typewriters will eventually write Hamlet" or something? but honestly there are so many variables on which key to blindly press coincidentally enough times that it would STILL take a metric shitload of years to randomly crank out hamlet, and if that's the case, then the expression works just as well as "a monkey on a typewriter will eventually write hamlet" because the length of time required, while ridiculous, is really no more ridiculous than in the original expression
anyway
edit: MOTHERFUCKERS https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/8789894/Monkeys-at-typewriters-close-to-reproducing-Shakespeare.html
I suspect monkeys wrote this post?
It would take 26 trillion years to brute force just 18 characters of upper/lowercase, numbers and symbols. Ain't nobody got time for that.
If that bakes your noodle, wait until you grasp the concept of the Library of Babel.
It's a Metaphor pertaining to Probabilities.
Best part: The monkeys produced five pages of text, mainly composed of the letter S, but failed to type anything close to a word of English, broke the computer and used the keyboard as a lavatory.
Yep, they want to use those with SCI's as guinea pigs for their transhumanist agenda.
Why spend the money? We can just legalize late-late term abortions.
yeah like 42nd trimester
What’s the medical necessity?
It's initial use is supposed to help with spinal injuries. Help people get use of their limbs back. I want it to stay a limited use device of course.
Yeah...
I'm sure that will happen.
At least until it becomes mandatory.
It’s a medical device governed by the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH)
Why do they have a devices division? They're literally food and drug.
Don’t ask me why I’m just reporting the facts
It's the administration.
Thanks. Came here to say the same.
you are the food if you are dumb enough to take the mark of the beast
There's nothing proving that neuralink is the mark of the beast.
All of the electric car fanbois on this site should absolutely do this. You'll have super powers, you fucking cucks. Do it. Do it now.
No, it's not Mark of the Breast,
it's Elon of the Beast.
P.S.
I have the God given right to throw a bucket of salt water on anything that acts, talks, or communicates like a human or uses any human languages.
Cochlear implants have been used for years. Are those the mark of the beast too, or a hearing aid? Rush had one.
This is the next step. Now they want to help blind people see, and crippled people walk. If you don’t want one, then don’t get one.
Buh buh elon is still good limey? Right?
fREedOm oB sPeEch???
Elon is still good, right?
did your recent booster cause that stroke
It's a medical device with specific health claims.
If you don't like it, blame congress. They wrote this authority into law.
This is a fact. FDA has jurisdiction over all medical devices.
Sounds tasty
They also regulate medical products.
Want to think for yourself? Try Neuralink Blue for only $8/month.
Meme gold here
Certain restrictions apply
You have unrestricted freedom of thought, but not unrestricted reach of those thoughts...
You understand.
And now we know why he hired that broad and hosted Meatball
And why his avatar pic on Twatter is his Halloween costume.
*Restrictions apply
You first.
Darn, I came to say exactly this.
This product has a lot of criticism from the left and right side ideologies. That being said, I’m really interested to see how the left will astroturf and censor until it’s embraced by them.
You are already programmed into only seeing two sides to each issue. You don't even need the implant
I would if I was paralyzed and this could fix it. This could be great for some folks who are not me.
Just like assisted suicide, that'll last for like 10 minutes until it tumbles off the slippery slope and the focus switches to beaming ads directly into the consumer's brains.
Gave you your 66th updoot...and 6th comment! :/
There's the Hook they had in Musk...
My thoughts exactly
Not for long will they be yours.
An EMP will take care of that...
In 2 weeks?
then you are FUCKING DUMB
"they" lol. you faggoty Elon simps just never stop. will defend your lord and savior until the end. HAHAHAHAHA
So in order for lefties to utilize Neuralink does the device have to go through their ass first to reach their head?
I hope it results in them having permanent Siri voice
The true voice of npcs
They don't have anything between their ears for it to plug into.
Backendoscopic surgery
That would be a big plug.
Yes, but even Neuralink can help them. All those facts being pumped directly into their brain will fry their shit.
Go read the "privacy" terms of service on anything made by or offered by Google. Now imagine that inserted into your fucking brain with Klaus Schwab behind the scenes in a BDSM outfit.
aww now thanks - I wont be sleeping tonight now that's been 'implanted' into my hardware
Don't take the hysterical Pim Tool type take on this. Neurolink is used to give amputees the ability control mechanical limbs. There's no bloody mind control nonsense involved.
Give it a minute
Musk can’t even figure out how to make a car that can self drive properly, the human brain is orders of magnitude more complicated to control.
You think he wouldn't try? It's endorsed by the FDA what does he have to lose
Other than his conscience but that seems overrated among elites
Matrix when?
Drop the NPC argument. My concerns are completely valid. They have nothing to do with curing disease. I do not believe you do not know this. We can read what the ghouls at WEF have to say about the human mind. This is enough for revolution.
Transhuman movement is afoot!
You vill have no privacy and you vill be happy.
What if we could give it to sex offenders as a way to disable their degenerate impulses?
Like any tool, the useage matters.
Now imagine someone who has been paralyzed for a decade being able to walk again...
You believe you have a right to invade the human psyche and hand it over to Klaus Schwab in a gimp suit because of someone else's pain and suffering? Get bent.
I'm sure if you were an Englishman in the 1800s, you'd be throwing your wood shoes into the machinery too
The 4th and 5th Amendment were written before then. Using anachronism to obfuscate truth is an authoritarian tactic.
Ah yes, mild disagreement or milquetoast mockery = authoritarianism.
You would feel right at home on a little website called Reddit.
You can't defend your position and are just wasting my time with "milquetoast" replies.
No, the reference just flew right over your head.
Luddites in the 1800s feared the machines upsetting the status quo (ie. taking their jerbs), so they sought to sabotage the machines. You tried to somehow associate this with the 4th and 5th amendment.
Like the Luddites, you fear AI and it upsetting the status quo.
Nobody is going to invade your brain. You’re totally free to continue life as a idiot.
Who's side are you even on here?
You know, you might be right. There are people that want to invade your brain, but they didn’t need a neuralink to do it. You’re living proof that a person’s brain can be invaded and filled with idiotic garbage with no neuralink required. Neuralink might actually be able to help with that, but I have no doubt that you would prefer ignorance and stupidly.
“Get bent.”
Get fucked surrender-monkey. You're full of shit and useless in this critical debate.
Get fucked yourself. You couldn’t find a debate with both hands if I shoved it up your ass.
Holy fucking strawman.
This was the point; obviously that privacy is a concern. You know this.
That was a strawman to attack instead of the point. Obviously privacy is a different matter than paralysis.
Google doesn't make the Neuralink.
Google has nothing to do with the Neuralink.
That's not what a strawman is.
Read a fucking book, moron.
Calling people stupid when you write something so obviously stupid would be embarrassing if you weren't stupid.
No one said they did nor was this implied. I don't need to explain anything further as you are not qualified to discuss this topic. Or debate rules, etiquette, standards, etc.
“Calling people stupid when you write something so obviously stupid would be embarrassing if you weren't stupid.”
Well, stupid people are the last people to discover they are stupid, and believe it or not we have studies showing that.
Ironic.
It was directly implied.
You're sweating.
Read a book, faggot.
Now imagine someone who is blind being able to see a little bit better. They drop their life savings into their implants. The company goes bankrupt a year later and now they're in the dark.
It only happened to hundreds in 2020.
Sauce
https://spectrum.ieee.org/bionic-eye-obsolete
Would you look at that: yet another example of where the exorbitant cost of regulations made a great medical advancement impossible to sustain...
People still value the FDA's recommendations?
As what not to take
People still value Elon?
rip civilization
I think social media already did us in
I saw an article yesterday regarding an implant already in action, can’t locate it now
Here's one
That's actually pretty awesome
I think most people are down for this kind of technology.
Just like guns, it's only a tool. In the hands of the right person, it can be a saving grace. In the hands of evil, it can be devastating.
Agree completely.
I don't want that shit anywhere near me. Even if it makes me less tarded
id rather be retarded then a cyborg
It's not so bad.
I'm ok with being slightly tarded. Don't need google in my head, thanks.
Don't worry Scro, there's plenty of tards out there living really kick ass lives.
My first wife was 'tarded, she's a pilot now.
The industry most likely to be installing these is the same one distributing MRNA shots as "vaccines".
Devastating, like brain infection death.
I was thinking more like brain control, creating an army of actual NPCs.
For sure, there is a host of pitfalls. But mind reading and mind control is a lot further off that the hype would have you believe.
From the article:
This is how they sold stem cell research too. But it's mostly there for a "fee fee" story to sell the public. It's not what the goal of the research or even the main function is. It's just "how can you argue with this!?" talking point.
I'm down for people walking again.
This should only ever be the last ditch effort.
So if the guy was given the implant to walk again, said or thought something they didn't approve of, could they turn it off??
It's intrusive.
desperate and/or brave people who test these things are doing everyone else a favor
got to get through the vacuum tube version of this stuff first
Until you watch the movie “Upgrade”
Awesome movie btw
These are the uses that this ‘should’ be made for.
Could be the same one, I don’t recall the details, just the neurolink headline.
Biden has one
Biden is an implant
Installed, like a toilet.
That’s funny, well played.
Elon Musk interviewed a chip test subject on video:
https://communities.win/c/TheDonald/p/16amrXiAGW/must-watch-elon-musk-interviews-/c
Will blacks finally gain the mental capacity to not commit crimes?
Will your family tree stop weaving into itself?
Shit will soon get even weirder.
Disruptive Technologies for the win!
Should be an interesting new technology for fixing spinal injuries and producing more advanced prosthetics for amputees. I like it.
I mean, literally all bad things started out as good things that got misappropriated. RIP Alfred Nobel.
This is exactly what the device is currently being sold as and approved for. I hope it stays true to it's purpose.
I've been involved in medical devices, and from my humble perspective a device to control or even influence the human brain is far off into the future. But one can never be certain. :)
Yeh. I understand 100% the fear of what humanity will become when it becomes commonplace for people to have all kinds of wild tech implants, but the potential to help people RIGHT NOW is just too great
Gonna be a blast when they have self destruct functionality
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbvX3elSaaY
Mind blowing
Screw yourself.
I'm not going to risk the entire human civilization so a couple of people can gain some mobility.
We should plow all of this money into a biological cure or aid, but not cyborg SHIT.
Good luck stopping it
Nothing makes me more confident that a brain control chip won't be used for malicious purposes than putting it under government supervision.
FDA is gay. Prove me wrong.
They've already used neural networks to allow machines to interpret accurate images from what a person see's, and can even extend to images within thoughts.

Plot twist: The jabbed who survived the updates are already subscribed to Neuralink.
FDA is SaFe aNd EfFeCtivE
FDA should get in line if they approve of it.
Thought crimes will soon actually be a thing
Where's the 'go get your brainchip' guy?
Yay!! After hearing that Twitter broadcast, I can hardly wait for Elon to put wires in my brain!
When I was younger I loved the idea of a cyberpunk future. I adored Ghost in the Shell, Deus Ex 1, Neuromancer, Akira, later on Deux Ex Human Revolution. It seemed like a generally cool future. I HATE THE ANTICHRIST
Maybe the Desantis muh VP idiots can sign up first for it
I got down voted for this yesterday. Elon is WEF scum.and wants to use technology to end free will.
TFW the NPC chip swap meme is real
There goes the neighborhood..
