Nah Starship Troopers' civilians and citizens system would be better.
In the book, the country was run by sociologist for a generation and turned them into violent spoiled brats that rioted and tore the country apart. Then a bunch of veterans got together to stop them and institute a new system
Bush-dog neocons still control the GOP on the state level and they definitely fear a populist takeover. It's a different story on a county-by-county basis which is why that fear may be justified. Ousting Paxton won't help them in the long run.
Power, money, greed, lust. It all corrupts. The system of governance must assume the very worst of people. THAT has to be the
" Prime Directive." From that basic assumption, the system must be constructed so as to protect people from themselves.
Ha! Dan Huberty is my state rep. He likes to get shit-faced a lot, but he's actually a pretty good dude. Not going to lie, I've had a few coldies with him at the local watering hole.
Government and lobbying jobs are havens for degenerate retards who don't have the intelligence or disipline to hold down a job mowing lawns or flipping burgers.
Texas republicans paid just enough lip service to MAGA to keep their jobs, but they are mostly typical sociopath politicians who love money and power.
Luckily, the entire government architecture from an amateur Congress (real terminology, they meet for like five minutes every two years or some shit) to a plural executive (the governor is one of 16 elected executives) it’s pretty difficult for the corruption to really manifest in any big way. They all just fuck each other and get drunk and get a little payola on the side to attempt to pass a bill that will probably never get passed anyway.
The whole system is corrupt. Every election is compromised. Weaponization of Justus and lawfare is deliberate and intentional. Politics is a scheme, not a service. Law enforcement is a protection and prosecution racket, full of cowards and corruption. These are the rules. Exceptions do not make the rule.
Naming names.... fucking finally.
As soon as I started reading the first one I thought "name them". I was shocked that's what the second tweet was.
This is a good sign that the tide is turning
Hah. This is just in Texas.
Imagine California. Imagine DC.
There is seemingly no end of corruption in politics.
True. Just imagine all the disgusting vomit-inducing activities our politicians engage in.
I know. Prostitutes actually fuck those guys.

This needs to be done, " for real." Could happen.

This is why government is not supposed to be powerful. The more power it has, the more corruption it breeds.
We need a blank slate.
Lacey Hull's husband just divorced her in 2021, he found out.
Alright, Strickland. Impressive.
This is the way... name the motherfucking names!!!

There’s a difference between liking to get shitfaced, and legislating while shitfaced.
Not really. That's just your ever present loss of morality talking. It's inappropriate.
Yes, it matters what someone does in their private life behind closed doors.
This might be a shock to you.
Ok if you want to talk about the moral aspect of getting wasted, fine. But being drunk while creating and passing laws is next level bad.
Your mind is clouded by modern morality. You're incapable of thinking straight.
I'd prefer our representatives to be among the most upstanding citizens available.
People aren't that way so we get what we get. But it's only because we don't demand it.
