I don't believe the attributing charisma for the nature to deceive is correct. Unless I'm mistaken it was implied that the ability to perform "miracles" was what will make that thing so persuasive, including deceiving the elect.
Lately I've come to understand something very interesting, my grandpa had an immense hate for Jehova's witnesses. I never understood why that was until recently when I started hearing that they don't believe the Messiah has come yet and deny that he was Jesus. When I first heard a JW say it out loud I felt the same way he did, this guy said that when the Messiah comes he will bring peace. When I heard that I instantly understood these guys who are so similar to us will in the future be mortal enemies of ours no matter what happens. Both them and the other guys with blood on their children's children.
Why are 7th Day Advent cult? I’m not one, but have been listening to some of their interpretations of prophecy. I don’t completely grasp their 1844 date and some of their other initial forming beliefs.
