= "miserly, cheap." That's it, the actually no shit definition of a word that at least used to live in Websters American English dictionary. Mandated ignorance will be the end of us.
When I was at university (in Australia) doing a linguistics class, the lecturer brought up the topic of words that sound similar to offensive words. He asked the two Californian Valley girl exchange students behind me about the word niggardly and they proved his point perfectly and missed the point by acting outraged and saying we would never say such an offensive word.
I frankly don't understand how the word negro became verboten in the first place. It's not a pejorative, it never was, even in the days of segregation. It just seems like one example of a long history of faux outrage.
There's never been anything offensive about the word negro even in English. The simple fact that some racists used the word with derision is irrelevant as they would have expressed the same derision with any alternative word.
It's certainly symptomatic of a problem but as a wise man once said, a map is not the territory. Constantly changing labels only serve to obscure underlying truths for a short while.
reminds me of that flavor, Flav show like 20 years ago they made a spinoff of that show based off one of the females, and she got mad when one of the Spanish contestants called her a beautiful Negra princess lol he was literally complementing her and she lost her shit
Opposite but relatable story. I went out to a bar once with a few military friends on Veteran's Day. We were just sharing memories, reminiscing the ones we lost, that kind of stuff. There was a woman that was at the bar alone just trying way to hard to get with me. I explained twice that while the attention is flattering, I'm just not interested today because of the somber occasion. She kept going, then I turned to her and said, "Well aren't you just one pretty, persistent little trollop." She started saying how i was so sweet and a gentlemen. One of my buddies that knew what a trollop was about died laughing.
I called a girl "as pretty as any strumpet" once, and if we didn't cover Shakespeare later that day in school, and if the teacher hadn't chosen THAT particular word to define for us, I'd have gotten away with it.
Never seen a girl go from beaming and strutting that SHE was a strumpet, to crestfallen and confused when the teacher started laughing, to screeching in outrage and trying to punch me so quickly.
Oof, I love this. Don't mind me as I add this one to my vocabulary. I'm not even someone into literature or anything at all, but one thing I can't stand about modern times is how they have dumbed down the English language. Except for when I hear "Ambalamps" in an Andy Ngo video, I still find that one highly amusing.
Black people are always looking for something to be offended about and opportunities to play victim, this is why they all just need to leave the US, we will never be able to live together peacefully, blacks don't want peace they want handouts and unearned power in society.
This reminds me of the time Trump was talking about the coyotes who traffick people over the border and a bunch of dumbasses lost their shit because they thought "coyote" was some sort of slur against Hispanic people.
Triggered Twitterer: " The people at Crayola have some explaining 2 do"
Crayola: " No we don't , take a language class."
Should be NegrX, like LatinX
Fucking retards.
Under 80 IQ was one time considered borderline retarded in the DSM-II

I recall some professor getting in deep shit for using that word a while back

I say all kinds of offensive words and laugh about it and then go on to sleep well at night.
That’s because unlike Tom Wolf, you have a big dick. And at least an average IQ.
Miserly and stingy were more prevalent than niggardly where I grew up.
Look up the word "negritude"
Or porch monkey
Tar baby.
Moon cricket.
Pavement ape
Future Astronaut
Honestly they’re roasting these people passively aggressively, it’s pretty funny. We hope this is helpful.
I think a lot of the people complaining might be making fun of all the sensitivity around race too though.
Hispanics are not going to change their Spanish language to please woke white liberals and blm blacks
Plus Espanol has only two genders!
¡Tú, intolerante!
Yep. It's no wonder they hate Liberals so much
As i drink my Negro Modelo...lol

It's a control thing.

Izzat a black tranny?
people are so dumb they substitute racism for their own ignorance.

It's only a matter of time until the "bipoc" nonsense is determined to be problematic.
I consider it to be

Yeah, but how long before Crayola actually changes it??
You know it's coming.
They'll probably call it 'medianoche' or something.
Midnight sounds even dumber.
Yes.
On the one hand, Crayola is responding to retards.
On the other hand, maybe they deserve it for writing anything in Spanish to sell in the United States.
As the little black boy harassing the Japanese shop owner said, "This is America!"
Black Fragility!
It's not pronounced "nay-gro." It's more like "neh-gro"
As a Canadian, nay-gro and neh-gro are pronounced the same to me.
Dumb ass Negroes.
Hope they don't go to the liquor store and see "Negra Modelo"....

But to be fair, she was a strumpet.

Black fragility on full display, along with perpetual black victimhood
I prefer the term "nigrum" if that is more your taste
Negro translates to .... low IQ
