Even when an idiot makes news, President Trump has to be mentioned.
The courthouse is where former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants were arraigned and will face trial in the case alleging efforts to overturn the state's results in the 2020 presidential election.
This is why the government officials and public servants need to be disarmed.
They have a higher chance at killing someone as they have more interaction with the public.
Statistically speaking, the number of shootings/killings overwhelmingly involve a government official or public servant than a private citizen gun owner.
This is controversial. I've never seen the data you speak of, about overwhelming.
I have considered the idea of creating a new class of "second responders" which would be SWAT teams, with LEOs being disarmed. This wouldn't require additional government employees, just a re-organization and division of labor. Implementing that idea successfully would not be easy, and so it could be argued that it couldn't possibly go well because these people are morons, or immoral at best.
If you can ring up your own groceries at Walmart without getting paid for it, you should be able to patrol and police your own streets with your own guns too.
ND stands for negligent discharge for those that don't know.
You know why the cops were the ones having the problems with ND's and overall safe weapon practices. Upper management has allowed them to become lax in their adherence to gun safety protocols in their department. They begin and end their day in an environment where everyone is armed and without constant reinforcement of safe gun practices and punishments for not following them, adhering to the rules of proper weapon handling become too much of a hassle so they start cutting corners here and there and then you get what you've seen at the range. Cops that think they're not going to have any ND's because they "do this all the time".
CuomoisaMassMurderer,
Street cops need their pistols. They have to be able to defend themselves in an environment where any criminal could have a gun. Detectives and everyone else on the force, not so much. I don't see where your everyday patrol officer needs to have a long gun on hand either. Especially when there's an excellent chance they're even less proficient with their rifle than their pistol. Rifles and marksmen are what SWAT is for. A good pistol shooter can be just as competent as an average rifleman at the ranges most engagements happen and most people stupid enough to have a shootout with a cop weren't smart enough to become good with their weapon.
Now the trick is getting your everyday street cop to take the time to become a great shot with their service weapon. It seems, at least in LA, they can't even bother with adhering to proper gun safety protocols.
That's not uncommon. 2 things attribute to that. 1 is that a lot of people don't really want to kill someone so they miss without realizing they're not aiming to actually hit their target. This phenomenon was discovered after WW2 where it was discovered that soldiers would often aim above the heads of their enemies because they didn't want to be responsible for killing another human.
The 2nd is that all of the adrenaline released during a gun fight like that makes it astonishingly hard to be mentally present to the point of being able to concentrate on making those shots hit. Most of the time a person that hasn't been conditioned for situations like that panic shoot and that's mostly why they miss at such short distances.
I used to work part time at a SoCal indoor pistol range where my good friend was the manager. One day i came in and there was a fresh bullet hole in the wooden counter and my friend was in the process of making a sign that he was taping to a wooden dowel. The sign said... "Cops: 13 Civilians: 4"... indicating the number of ND's in the lobby of the shooting range. I myself was almost hit by an ND from an LAPD officer who sat down on the fake leather couch to watch what was on the bigscreen. His pistol discharged, blew a hole through the arm of the couch, skipped off the concrete floor, missed me by about a foot, and took out the vending machine down the hall. From that day forward, the LAPD was banned from touching their sidearms in the lobby. Apparently they had a hard time abiding by the rules though.
What i enjoyed the most was seeing hotshot rookie cops, thinking they knew how to shoot, get set-up by the veterans, getting the rookies into "friendly" (for money) shooting competitions with those of us who worked there. It was a great way to take them down a notch and make them understand that just because they're an LEO doesn't mean the guy they're up against isn't going to be a better shot than them.
The only LEO's that i found to be impressive marksmen were some of the SWAT guys. Most normal police were lackluster at best and were frequently reprimanded for their lack of firearm safety, especially flagging others. I was always real strict on that kind of stuff, having learned from my father who was a DI at Fort Ord in 67-68 and never lost that Drill Instructor mentality when teaching us as kids how to handle firearms.
They're just a few really poorly made handguns that might fire without someone pulling the trigger.
But you have to help even those.
If this was something that could be used as a duty weapon it's not going to malfunction that easily it's going to require an idiot to actually do something idiots do: pull the trigger.
There have been a few cases where a gun actually fired without someone pulling the trigger. If the gun falls or is inadvertently pushed, in such a way that something gets inside the trigger guard and puts enough pressure on the trigger to cause the gun to fire.
I remember an alert going out about those little toggles to tighten your jacket up. At the range, someone went to reholster and the toggle went in the guard. Weapon discharged and went through the guy's leg.
Gun control means using both hands. And not shooting yourself in the foot. Or in the leg, in this case. Probably not even shooting yourself at all. Better yet, not shooting anybody, ever. Unless there's a dire need that's absolutely unavoidable, and very deliberate.
This concept is beyond the mental faculties of a leftist, obviously. A perfect application for red flag laws; exhibit the mental illness known as leftism and you forfeit your 2A rights. Pedo Peter says the bill of rights is "not absolute," how does that grab those crooks?
My husband showed me the episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where the "and then I started blasting" meme originated from, and holy shit was that entire episode rage inducing. The leftist bitch in the gun shop was obnoxious, waving a gun around and pointing it at the owner. You never point a gun at someone, loaded or not, unless you intend to kill. It was so satisfying when their background check failed and the owner refused to sell them anything. And then when they tried to start shit at the gun convention and all the legal gun owners turned on them. Also satisfying.
I went to a local gun store a few years ago to make a purchase. As I was checking out the item I was considering buying I turned around to see a very young man with a pistol pointing at his eyeball as he looked inside the muzzle. I turned back and looked at the salesman who looked at me and we both did a little side glance at the boy with the pistol pointed at his eyeball.
Sometimes I remember this and wonder if he bought the pistol and if he still has his face.
Yes, I'm aware that the entire main cast are horrible awful people and they parody other sitcoms. The episode perfectly captured them all being retarded leftists who knew absolutely nothing about guns. They went around yelling the same lies about guns being so easy to buy, and then reality slapped them in the face when the gun shop owner ran a background check and denied them.
Except it wasn't reality. They wrote the episode and chose that outcome. If anything it sounds like the episode is showing how it isn't easy to get a gun.
That's an excellent point. The drone humans protecting the corrupt ruling class and trying to persecute President Trump literally don't understand basic handgun safety. Shooting yourself with your own gun is an absolute liberal move. It's amazing that she didn't pull an Alec Baldwin and kill everybody in her office.
I know I'm going super autistic with this but its ironic how all their stories and media try and invent some multiverse garbage where they can imagine they aren't even governed by physics either.
You haven't seen the video of the big black police officer shooting himself in a classroom full of children during a demonstration? My fire arms instructor uses that as an example of what NOT TO DO. There's a woman holding an infant in the video when it happens. My instructor explained that that baby will be partially deaf for the rest of its life because that asshole fired a round inside a room with all the doors and windows shut.
My instructor explained that that baby will be partially deaf for the rest of its life because that asshole fired a round inside a room with all the doors and windows shut.
Your instructor is an idiot. The infant only suffered temporary partial deafness.
Not that I expect anyone to remember, but I mentioned back when all this started what a complete fucking clown show Fulton County is, perpetually. It's shit like this constantly from there and now it's in the national spotlight. There will be more.
20 years ago, a guy escaped the Fulton County courthouse just before being taken into court for sentencing to death for like the second or third time. He was like 6'4", built like a linebacker, and they sent an armed 70 year old grandmother to escort him from his cell. He overpowers her, takes her sidearm, escapes through the courtroom, shoots the judge and others along the way, and completely escapes to suburban Atlanta where he takes a woman hostage and holes up in her apartment for days. She manages to bring him to Jesus and he winds up turning himself in. Absolute shit show.
The best part was the media gets to put the Fulton County Sheriff on national TV for statements and, while everybody is pondering how this guy could even get elected dog catcher, reporters go to the federal courthouse nearby to get a statement from the Marshalls and all they have to say is "Wouldn't have happened over here." LOL
Almost typed this. I have 11 pistols that don't have a safety. Most of them are loaded. There are few things I can say with more confidence than "They will never fire without someone pulling the trigger."
Leather holsters tend to warp over time and if you holster too fast the lip can get inside the trigger guard. Lots of ND's happen that way. I like leather but not for striker fired trigger safety pistols. Too easy for that to happen. For Glock only kydex imo
Even when an idiot makes news, President Trump has to be mentioned.
The courthouse is where former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants were arraigned and will face trial in the case alleging efforts to overturn the state's results in the 2020 presidential election.
"It's Trump's fault she shot herself!"
The Trump curse is real.
"Let my people go!"
This is why the government officials and public servants need to be disarmed.
They have a higher chance at killing someone as they have more interaction with the public.
Statistically speaking, the number of shootings/killings overwhelmingly involve a government official or public servant than a private citizen gun owner.
We the people should police ourselves.
This is controversial. I've never seen the data you speak of, about overwhelming.

Now the trick is getting your everyday street cop to take the time to become a great shot with their service weapon. It seems, at least in LA, they can't even bother with adhering to proper gun safety protocols.
Here's a stat: cops miss fully half their shots.
At a distance of less than 5 feet.

Is it true that scientists recreated Moses face and it looks like Hulk Hogan?
"How could Trump do this?!"
He can’t keep getting away with this!
Oh he is
Well, the stress of having “literally hitler” walk into your courthouse might cause someone to shoot themselves.
How dare you call her John Wilkes Booth
To be fair, it's not a bad thing that they mention it in this case.
That way everyone knows that the people assigned to prosecute Trump can't even figure out which end of the gun fires the bullets. 🤡🤡🤡
She's probably a strict gun control advocate.... For the little people.
I do expect someone that stupid to blame the gun for their own stupidity. 🪿🪿🪿
“It just went off!”
I didn't think it was loaded.
"ban automatic guns!"
They're just a few really poorly made handguns that might fire without someone pulling the trigger.

You light one bitch on fire and everybody freaks out!
I went to a local gun store a few years ago to make a purchase. You know that show is a fictional comedy, right?
Yes but sadly the blatant exaggeration of idiots with guns is not.
Yes, I'm aware that the entire main cast are horrible awful people and they parody other sitcoms. All we want is some common sense Gun control. We need to take the guns away from those who don’t have common sense.
Probably. After all, it not guns that antigun commies have a problem with, it's guns in the hands of the people they want to send to the gulag.
She was looking down the barrel and shot herself in the ass.
I think this should be mentioned in the motion to remove or change venue.
Or if the gun had bullets in it or not.
In this case it was the “ass” end, the gun just sat there 🙄
So are they going to mention every other person who ever had a case there?
Never let a tragedy go to waste, and never let an opportunity to shit on America and those who defend her go to waste.
So at least they aren't above the laws of physics. That's good to know.
But physics is not only racist, it is patriarchal!
And very very sexist.
I know I'm going super autistic with this but its ironic how all their stories and media try and invent some multiverse garbage where they can imagine they aren't even governed by physics either.
Do they plan to charge Trump with this too?
Yes. Had he never been indicted there, she would not have shot herself 😆
So you're saying that everyone who indicts Trump deserves to be shot. This is why I come here.
Interesting suggestion
Fulton County is a mess.
Worse than Jeb...
Worse than Ron...
A bloody mess.
Blood coming out of their wherever
Out of their bonus holes. 😆
😂....🤔....🤮
Bigly
In Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 we say, let a woman have a gun is like let a monkey fly a plane.... VERY DANGEROUS
You haven't seen the video of the big black police officer shooting himself in a classroom full of children during a demonstration? My fire arms instructor uses that as an example of what NOT TO DO. Damage to inner hair cells of the cochlea by acoustic insults is considered irreversible
Research suggests anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen can help prevent permanent damage.
What's research say about giving infants NSAIDS and ibuprofen?
8 mice
ate mouse pups
Right, that’s probably unwise. Tylenol should be ok though.
But clearly the answer is a nice set of noise cancelling Walkers for your wee ones so they can enjoy those precious first range visits.
You mean taken just after exposure? I could buy that
oh look a medical expert
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zw-jTCNZSmY
I saw it. I was appalled
chirp
Lol! 🙊
Everytime
I like how the story says "accidentally"
Also known as negligently. Which I presume is an unlawful use of said firearm. Wonder if Fulton County DA will charge her?
Not that I expect anyone to remember, but I mentioned back when all this started what a complete fucking clown show Fulton County is, perpetually. It's shit like this constantly from there and now it's in the national spotlight. There will be more.

There will be more.
I would consider an incompetent person handling a firearm to be a threat to everyone around them.
As stupid as this sounds just imagine what likely really happened.
probably even stupider than we imagine. Gun cant fire left in a holster, she had to be playing with it.
Three rounds through the calf because the gun she snuck through security has a Glock switch and she still won't be fired or get in trouble.
If I had to guess.
“Tttrrruuummpppp!!!” - DA’s last words before being loaded into the wambulance
Nope, not an accident unless the weapon was defective.
Negligence.
An accident in this case is the unintended result of negligence.
How'd the weapon get in the courtroom, failure in multiple places.
This is why the Secret Service has to disarm EVERY ONE of these people whenever President Trump goes into these court houses.
Most likely carrying a loaded Glock, with one in the chamber, and no safety. Not much room for error there..
You have to pull the trigger to fire a Glock. That's the safety.
Almost typed this. I have 11 pistols that don't have a safety. Most of them are loaded. There are few things I can say with more confidence than "They will never fire without someone pulling the trigger."

Get a hybrid style holster. Leather backer with kydex shell. It's the best of both worlds. Black Arch and Hidden Hybrid are two of my favorite brands.
Based on this scenario, the gun would have to be unholstered in the courthouse.
I cannot think of a single logical situation where this woman's firearm should be unholstered in the courthouse.
This seems to be an obvious case of neglect, that would result in criminal charges by this very person if it was anyone else.
Yeah glocks aren't for idiots.
No loaded gun is for idiots.
Hey!! I have a Glock and I'm an idiot.
Hi Hunty!
Unless its that new sig lol
and no holster maybe... otherwise it wouldnt fire
Stop killing us.
Wow, what ever happened to that pussy fart Baldwin. Forgot all about his murder charges.
Probably moved to Greece to go halfs on a Wayfair cabinet with Tom Hanks
And split a pizza then do Greek sex.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
🤣🤣🤣 is she black? If so, the gun went off because of racism
More black on black crime!!!
So it was a glock?
That article should have been one paragraph shorter and never have mentioned Trump in any way. But heaven forbid they NOT mention Trump.
lol
Stickie please!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Amazing. Please, for the love of God, put this into evidence as prosecutorial incompetence.
Spicy 🔥
The problem is in the headline, "Herself"
The police have become so shit now that deskpops are a real concern.
they write an Article but No name? Who the Fuck is this Person?
Better indict Trump again and push harsher gun control laws.
The answer is more guns…and Darwinism.
Time to play Incompetence Or Clinton
No active shooter? What happen?
A real life Barney Fife. 🙄
Lmao
I didn't expect the first post of the day for me to be a YLYL post yet here we are.
And I lost.
Young Lady Yeets Leg?
