It's supposed to be funny, sorry you were triggered. The Women Shouldn't vote thing is from a pretty famous YouTuber named Pearl and the story is interesting.

Once only white male landowners were allowed to vote, that's changed over time. Sadly in the last 15 or 20 years the reasons it changed and the controversy at the time about the change isn't taught in a historically accurate way but in a politically correct way and this can be misleading to put it mildly.

Back to history on the on the reason that non-land owners and we're talking about males here were allowed to vote. It was because they were legally required to go to war and die for this country. It seemed unfair that they didn't get to participate in the electoral process. Especially to the guys that were dying for this country.

For younger folks that grew up after women suffrage the notion that women should vote is just considered an absolute. A long time ago it wasn't and a lot of the big opposition to women's suffrage was from women.

The notion was that the wife should talk to her husband about how he voted but in the end the household vote was the man's determination. This was what happened before women's suffrage and a lot of women liked it for variety of reasons.

I grew up thinking that women's rights were very important and that single mothers and working women were horribly mistreated. On what's now considered sort of the first wave feminism from the '70s. Actually join the national organization of women when I was 18. For political reasons and not because I thought it was going to turn out to be the equivalent of a dating app. Which was sort of what happened.

If you look at the results of feminism from let's say 1962-63 when the Great Society programs went through under LBJ right after President Kennedy was assassinated. All of the people that were supposed to be helped by the Great Society programs and by feminism were probably harmed by it if you look at the results. Blacks, poor folks, senors and women are all arguably worse off now than they were in 1962. Divorce was uncommon and though there might have been problems in the marriage people stayed together usually until the children left home and started their own lives.

The modern reality is that women really can't have it all. If you're a millionaire, a Hollywood actress a workaholic businesswoman that moves to the very top of the corporate structure MAYBE. Butt we're talking not the top 10% but maybe the top 3% of all earners, then yes you can afford to pay enough people to clean your house, raise your children, do all the things around the house that normally a man would do and have it all so to speak.

But the reality for middle-class women with three different baby daddies and five children they don't get to have it all. Their children have a horrible life relatively speaking and if you look at most women that are my age they're on their third divorce and they're miserable.

I think Pearl is 27 or 28, so her thinking is if you take away women's suffrage and you go back to traditional families women were actually better off and certainly their children were better off and the family was better off. It really helps if you don't pick horrible baby daddies. But pick a man that you'd like to spend 20 years or more with raising children.

I'm not telling you how to vote if you want to get mad at me and start voting for communists I can't stop you. If you really think that's going to help you your children or your spouse because somebody wrote something on a message board that you don't like I really can't help you.

One of the other things that Pearl says repeatedly is that women basically just aren't ever really happy.

That's something that seems to have happened in my lifetime and I think it might do us well as a society to look at if that's true and if it is how did it happen.

I don't think she is fat, pointing out that she has a reasonably pretty face but is not in good shape, probably spends too much time sitting, but the entire media coverage of her only showed her face, very intentionally.

How the media manipulates and turns these people is worthy of study. Same as what happened to Kayleigh McEnany (the two were friends btw).
