I know several barbers where that would include a real shave, shampoo, pretty much the whole fucking Turkish experience minus the beating to death part
It also really depends on location. If you happen to reside in a city where the typical rent on a barber shop is 10 times more than in my hometown, well then I can't rightly expect that barber to charge the same price as the ones in my hometown now can I?....
well said , i liv e in nyc have a great based barber and he costs $40, truth is in manhattan if the haircut is any cheaper it likely sucks, plus their rent is on par with most countries debt payments
Youāre all wrong. Get me a solid 6 who is devoted to family, knows how to take care of a home, and laughs at my jokes, Iāll be plenty happy. No need for haircuts or makeup.
No but it certainly helps with outward perceptions and perceptions can be everything in business......
Now if you're just working at dead end 9 to 5 job where you punch the clock and do your bullshit and then go home and the people you work for don't give a fuck, then I guess you shouldn't give a fuck either, but for the rest of us who try to make moves and business relationships, your haircut is literally one of the first fucking things they see.........
That's totally insane. We don't want to go back to that time and give up all of our specialization. I'm sure you enjoy being able to drive places right? Well, you're able to do so because of people who mine metals, drill for oil, build machines, develop chemicals for paint/plastics/rubber etc, design chips/circuits, grind glass, and so on. They don't have the time to tend to a homestead so they can take a basket of eggs and blob of churned butter over to their neighbor in exchange for a haircut. And the people that cut hair would rather get paid in currency. Gah.
Oh this Classic 76 is going strong. I like how they make it pretty easy to repair/replace parts on them too. Switch dies? Order a new one and drop it in. Itās a legit workhorse.
Same with the Peanut. Thatās one tiny as hell clipper that can handle anything you throw at it.
You can tell the actual stylists vs the pot heads and great clips have a different level of... passion for what they do.
When I go to the stylist I can even tell that their clippers and scissors are sharper and it literally cuts my hair better.
They also have much better control and consistentcy so that I can ask for a taper fade and a point cut on the top and they all know what I'm talking about and thru execute it the same way. They also are able to fade my sideburns into my facial hair and do other refinement details around edges and neckline.
So for my extra $10 per I feel like I get. Alot of value. I can only imagine guys on here that put a bowl around there head and shave their hair off themselves look like autistic meth heads and they probably with A) have no woman, or B) their wife is embarrassed by their flat cut big unkempt bearded overweight husband when they meet someone that actually bothers to cut their nails.
It is okay to distinguish yourself. You don't have to pay the bare minimum and never keep up with a little additional hygiene. It's pretty gay to make that your life, but it's pretty shit to be the guy that has long shitty hair, acne neckbeard and goes outside with a baseball cap, Metallica shirt and camo cargo shorts as well. You just look like you care so little about yourself that it emits to people your like probably 3 days from offing yourself in the garage or something.
Anyway.
It's not gay to pay for a good hair cut and get away from the Crack heads at super cuts. And it's also OK to match and have some sets of decent clothes.
Iāve been with the same lady for 12 years now. My cut is $35 (same as always, tho she has upped her prices since becoming a master stylist and going independent), tho I tip her an addtl 35 on top of that. Wash, hot towel, cut. I donāt even tell her what to do. I just sit down, she asks if everything was fine last time, then we shoot the shit for 15 minutes while does her thing. Itās the best and she does great work.
I found the stylist I still use to this day at Super Cuts about 13 years ago. She moved out on her own about 3 years ago and now I pay triple (with tip) what I did at Super Cuts but she is worth it.
Been cutting my own hair after all the barbers closed up shop during COVID⦠going to take a based barber to bring me back into the fold that I can bullshit with.
My new one is an ancient old hippy woo woo woman with crystals and shit. She does however hate the government with the same passion, and cuts hair pretty good so I muddle through.
It makes sense. Womenās haircuts are always much more expensive. How many non-binary people do you he had that wanted the menās haircut price for essentially a womenās haircut? How much shit did he have to deal with when ānon-binaryā people insisted on the menās price after getting a womenās haircut?
Any other time in modern history I would have agreed with you but somehow we're at a point now where the majority of man's haircuts are so goddamn complicated and require so much weekly maintenance to maintain that we're going to be catching up to them before you know it
This website might not really think about it because most of us probably get basic haircuts but you don't have to do much looking around to see that times are a changin in that department apparently
I've been growing my hair out a bit and keep it around 5 inches long on average. I think I pay $35 every three months for a haircut. Have yet to find a barber capable of cutting men's long hair properly.
It's odd how so many of these people just don't know what they're doing. I found that local mom-and-pop shops are the best place to go. Before I moved a few years ago I found an old war veteran barber and he cut my hair incredibly well. Before that it was some other older genetlman. Both charged me lower than other locations, but I always left them a higher tip. Can't really find anyone like that near me. You'd think that women would at least know how to cut longer hair, but they're even worse.
I miss the old Veteran barbers. I used to be able to go into any barber shop and ask for a classic shortcut and it would be done correctly. It would hold out for months at a time and still look decent. Now I show the kids a picture of what I want and they still muck it up.
I'll raise a toast to veteran barbers. Grew up going to one, $12 a cut and it always turned out perfect each and every time. My father use to get a straight razor shave too - was included in the cost.
Men are simply incapable of cutting hair and that's perfectly okay. I'm sure that doesn't apply to gay men but don't know first hand. There are exceptions...I've had like two straight dudes who could manage a good haircut over the years, but reached a point where it's just not worth the string of bad haircuts finding out.
I have my hair cut like a greaser. only men have been capable of this style, usually Hispanic dudes. female barbers try too much blending even when told not to.
but like you, I have to churn through places until I find a competent barber.
*edit for protip if they don't offer straight razor shaves they probably can't cut hair correctly
The lady that cuts my hair. She's the daughter of the dude that cut my hair for 26 years before he passed. She charges me $20, but I give her $30, which is still less than $40.
Actually, you can. It's called "living inside your means", and it involves a lot of hard choices that most people can't make. Like not ordering pizza every Friday (b-but I DESERVE a break from cooking!), not driving to the store a quarter mile from your house (what, so call an Uber?), not downloading a new $60 game every month off the Steam store (hah! I only download games when they're on sale, I'm getting way more value only buying twenty $5 games a week!), etc.
Saving into wealth is like abstinence: there are those who are responsible and disciplined enough to make it work no matter how hard it gets, and there are those who are perpetually fucked, mostly by their own hand.
I didn't even pay 40 bucks for the shitty hair clippers I have from 20 years ago. They've apparently saved me thousands of dollars if this is how shit works.
$40? Goddamn, I got tired of $16 plus tip, and bought myself a clipper set for $45. Already used it half a dozen times, and never had to use a gallon of gas to get there.
A barber that costs 40 is for fags
I know several barbers where that would include a real shave, shampoo, pretty much the whole fucking Turkish experience minus the beating to death part
It also really depends on location. If you happen to reside in a city where the typical rent on a barber shop is 10 times more than in my hometown, well then I can't rightly expect that barber to charge the same price as the ones in my hometown now can I?....
Context not only matters, context is everything.
well said , i liv e in nyc have a great based barber and he costs $40, truth is in manhattan if the haircut is any cheaper it likely sucks, plus their rent is on par with most countries debt payments
You and your barber are a perfect example of what I was describing
Hell in New York City I would say $40 for a men's haircut is fantastic!
Dude, it's cutting your hair. If you pay over $20 to get your hair cut as a man, you're gay or a prissy man who geld his hair everyday.
What's even gayer is to charge money to cut hair, you have to be licensed. Lmao. America is retarded.
High value men pay more than 20 dollars for haircuts, and it's always to look professional and attract 10's. Have no idea what youre on about.
these "10's" wouldn't by chance paint their faces every morning, would they?
Huh? You're seriously asking if women shopping for a high value husband, or lover, wear make-up? Or trying to make that sound shameful?
Wow.
Youāre all wrong. Get me a solid 6 who is devoted to family, knows how to take care of a home, and laughs at my jokes, Iāll be plenty happy. No need for haircuts or makeup.
Thank you for the insight into family life GayGuy420
All of that sounds wonderful. You do you my friend. Im just saying that 20+ dollar haircuts have greater purpose.
Good looks will open doors, but good hair will blow the hinges off.
hahaha YES! I just want to know the 1-10 scoring with face paint excluded
maybe we can calculate an average and come up with a handicap
with lead based bat shit no less lol
If you think a haircut increases your value as a human being, I feel sorry for you.
You almost make the Joker make sense.
10 inch dongs maybe
Whew, my place is $19 (seriously). Glad I'm in the clear.
How much money do you think Jesus paid for a haircut?
I'm actually astounded we pay for them at all. It's hair.
Nobody gives two shits about what Jesus paid for a haircut.
Judas Iscariot (Jesus's treasurer) sure did
From all the images done of Jesus, he doesn't seem to have kept his hair short.
That's totally insane. We don't want to go back to that time and give up all of our specialization. I'm sure you enjoy being able to drive places right? Exactly.
I bought a nice set of clippers and just do it myself. A few shaves later and the initial investment in the Classic 76 was covered.
Havenāt paid for a haircut since 2017.
US made clippers from Oster snd Wahl are awesome. The Chinese trash isn't worth it at 1/10th the price.
Yes but you look like slingblade, everyone gets a chuckle at your expense and your āwifeā is uour left hand.
Or learn to do it yourself. Did it for 10-15 years, got plenty of women, now my girlfriend does the job, but yes, better than I did myself.
I look like a weirdo with a buzz cut. I had my wife cut my hair one timeā¦ā¦ one time big mistake.
Lol I pay $30 to go whete my wife goes haha.

Bonus: sheās hot and based.

"When I go to the stylist I can even tell that their clippers and scissors are sharper and it literally cuts my hair better."
My daughter is a stylist. Some of her scissors are in the $1k range. You better believe they're sharp.
Cheapest haircut in my town is $26 at a TruCuts franchise. The mom and pop barbers are in the $30s to $40s. Itās been like that for 5-10 years.
I cut my own hair with a rusty Bowie knife.
What if the gangrene came from tranny penis?
I cut my own hair with a hand grenade.
I just chew off the ends when it gets too long.
Hahahaha
Been cutting my own hair after all the barbers closed up shop during COVID⦠going to take a based barber to bring me back into the fold that I can bullshit with.

Is her name Marianne Williamson?
lol no
Why is your gear rusty?
$40 cordless clipper lasted me 5 years before the blades/battery became a problem.
Okay broke-ee
Some don't realize it grows back.
It makes sense. Womenās haircuts are always much more expensive. How many non-binary people do you he had that wanted the menās haircut price for essentially a womenās haircut? I look around at work and disagree. I have probably the fanciest hair and all I do is comb it in the morning.
I guess unless you're in business or something.
That's BS. I run the clippers over my head, have my wife line up the back, and I'm good for a month.
I'm not paying $40 for these places that dont even use scissors.
Long enough to comb straight back without it sticking up. Tapered in the back up off the collar. No sideburns.
Been getting the same haricut for 25 years and it's the same haircut that my father got for 40 years (22 navy).
It's so easy. Get out of the shower, comb it back and done in 30 seconds.
The extra $30 is for the barbers pain and suffering.
And extra disinfecting.
I pay $20 to a barber that knows every sports statistic since 1968, and every raunchy joke ever conceived. And, that includes a $8 tip.
I learned to cut my own years ago. At $20 a cut, I've saved thousands.
Right there with you! This is the way.
A corded main hair trimmer, a cordless for finer areas, and a belt to wrap around the neck to get it straight in the back.
At first I thought "belt to wrap around the neck" was a 42% joke about non-binary haircuts, and I chuckled sensibly.
Cutting your own costs 20 bucks a cut? Do you take on clients for financial planning?
pronoun boy is a good one, I'm gonna have to start using that
mens cuts are just cheaper.
I've been growing my hair out a bit and keep it around 5 inches long on average. I think I pay $35 every three months for a haircut. Have yet to find a barber capable of cutting men's long hair properly.
I can't even find a barber that can cut mens short hair well
It's odd how so many of these people just don't know what they're doing. I found that local mom-and-pop shops are the best place to go. Regular haircut:
2021 ..... $ 8.00 2023 ..... $12.00
3%-6% annual inflation my ass.
Belly laugh
The lady that cuts my hair. She's the daughter of the dude that cut my hair for 26 years before he passed. She charges me $20, but I give her $30, which is still less than $40.
You know you canāt save your way to wealth?
"A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone." Henry David Thoreau
Yeah
Actually, you can. It's called "living inside your means", and it involves a lot of hard choices that most people can't make. Agree with you here. You canāt out-earn stupid. You still have earn something.
You seem like Bill Mitchell level faggot,
I didn't even pay 40 bucks for the shitty hair clippers I have from 20 years ago. They've apparently saved me thousands of dollars if this is how shit works.
Life is fair
Fake... you're telling me "they/them" couldn't find another fag to cut "it's" hair... sure.
Sounds like good enough motivation for the barber
Genius level 4-D chess!
After I was sent home at the beginning of coronavirus, I went 9 months between haircuts. It was awesome, and I saved a little money.
Sure, i looked like hell, but my wife trimmed my neck hair when it got unruly, so it worked out fine.
$15 for my haircut at the barber I've been going to for the past 20 years.
If Iām paying $40-70 for a haircut, I better be getting a handjob too
A haircut cost $40 these days?
This is the way. If they try to sue you, say "They/them called me ugly so I want to counter sue". Play the mentally deranged game by their rules.
Itās so funny to be a woman on this site at times. Comments are so entertaining.
$40? Goddamn, I got tired of $16 plus tip, and bought myself a clipper set for $45. Already used it half a dozen times, and never had to use a gallon of gas to get there.
