Hard to do these days. The reality is that we do have a global economy and always will (and should, within reason).

What we need to do is stay away from brands that go global to avoid things like labor laws and taxes.

It's one thing to source inexpensive but still quality materials from around the world. The best wool comes from NZ, for example. You can find local sources for it in the US, but if you're trying to manufacture at anything more than artisanal scale, you have to go where the materials are. But when you have your shit put together in sweatshops for pennies, you're a piece of shit and don't get my money.
