Why? Because i'm a nerd who wants to see how high my virtual score is compared to others :D Also I want the ability to see the most committed Pedes of all-time

It's to easy to manipulate the karma point system when I can click your username and either up or down vote every one of your comments. Now imagine a 100 TDs suffers come here and do the same, your numbers would drop to the negative in mere minutes, I personally don't give a shit about them numbers, I'm here to support my president and conversate with ppl without being called a thousand deragatory names in the process

Goal is to get up to those numbers by the election.

Virtual score of what? Is your level of commitment determined by your virtual social score? If I downvote you (I didn’t) for whatever reason, does this make you less committed?

Here’s an idea, you want to be bold. Hide submission scores from the public all together and let each thread speak for itself. Mods can use the aggregate to make a decision, should it become necessary.

We keep enough score on people in our society. People should come here for fellowship, not to win a popularity contest. I’m sorry if this statement rained on your parade.

Nah, it's just fun stuff for nerds.

Well, I certainly get that data metrics is fun. In that spirit - perhaps I too am a nerd. In that case, I would encourage you to support an archetype and stereotype classification of submissions and feedback and run the metrics against the total aggregate of user input. Now that would be fun to see what trends and what does not

TLDR: give reason for upvote/downvote via enumerated multiple choice

What I meant was that over on Reddit; people who had very high Karma tended to post with both quality and quantity. I would see them make a decent comment or two under a thread every few minutes for almost 24/7. It gives you a sense that they genuinely enjoy the content they see and aren't just posting to get upboats.
