This post is a follow-up to the previous 'suggestions & bug reports' thread.
To address concerns over our domain registrar, it is currently in the transfer process. The site may be briefly unavailable at a point during this transfer.
We've made many changes since the last update and will continue fixing issues and adding new features, including flairs, dark mode, and more.
- Adjusted text post content color in listings to be darker.
- Improved thumbnail quality substantially.
- Added option to share to WhatsApp.
- Added icons for various platforms' bookmarking & "add to homescreen" functions.
- Changed the link behavior of thread titles on listings. (if text post or embeddable, link to post, else link out)
- "Contact the Moderators" email address is now functional.
- Fixed issue where some threads would reportedly "error submitting comment"
- Fixed share buttons on mobile.
- Now remaining logged in throughout updates.
- Zero downtime updates.
- Fixed the primary cause of error pages.
- Fixed issue where profile comment view was case sensitive.
You'll likely have noticed various other changes and fixes over the last few days.
This is our public Trello board where you can see the bugs and features that are being worked on.
Use this thread to note any other bug reports and suggestions that you have.
You can also continue reporting bugs in Discord and elsewhere on the site.
We need decentralized hosting.
Yes! That would make us truly unstoppable!!
We could also perhaps look into organizing a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), which we could use for fundraising activities and so much more. It's a totally new capability that hasn't been demonstrated yet, but I know we have the energy to do it!! Let's show em how it's done!
https://aragon.org/
I actualled invested in this ICO but got out after it flopped for 6 months straight. But I still like the concept of Aragon!
It's actually incredible what they've built. Ethereum isn't ready for real mainstream for a nother 1-3 years, but it would be interesting to see what we can do with it. I have some ideas I'll try to put together in a post.
BlyatCoin
Fucking LOL
Ты что блять сказал?
I said that I just used my last BlyatCoin playing Centipede at the arcade ;);)
think another crowd trying to do something similar is maidsafe network or something
This will be needed in the future.
I need to see my original comment when someone replies to me.
Yes, because by the time you see a reply, the only way to find it, is to keep paging back to that post (which is usually impossible to find) would be great to click on it and be taken back to the post.
Not really. As long as the domain registrar and DNS server is trustworthy, the actual site host doesn't really matter. Can be moved as necessary. As long as they take frequent backups.
If domain/DNS isn't trustworthy, then nothing else matters. That's why it was so important to move away from
GoCommieGoDaddy.> As long as they take frequent backups.
And your backups are local and offsite
Very real threat of "uh, hate thoughts -> "coincidental" ban across multiple services wiping out all access"
The current setup uses cloudflare. So in theory, if everything is setup correctly, only cloudflare knows where the server is. So the server is not the weak link, it's the domain name provider and cloudflare. Cloudflare used to be awesome but in the last couple of years they have banned several sites like 8chan.
Honestly the sole weak link is the domain provider. You don't even technically need DDoS protection. It's obviously smart, but as long as you have the domain and can point the DNS to resolve to whatever server (or Clownflare type service) you are using, you're good as far as maintaining access to the website.
Registrar is the main one that has to be trustworthy.
Run your own authoritative DNS server. its really simple, and cuts one more place where your site can be fucked with.
Decentralized hosting is the only hope for free speech on the internet. Bandwidth is also a problem - because the only video hosting website with the bandwidth to sustain what is needed is Youtube, which is why free speech is about to be snuffed out completely on there, in just a few weeks - but the free market can work miracles, and I'm confident a solution to that will be found.
pocketnet.app is trying to build their social media network entirely on a blockchain. anyone can download and run a node... the underlying CC is required to buy advertising on the network, and everyone (users and nodes) gets a little slice of the cash. interesting idea actually.
Now what is blockchain? I've heard some stuff about it, but I'm not sure what it is.
Can the upvote / downvote buttons be bigger? On mobile is hard to press them accurately. I’m a “smash-all-the-orange buttons” kind of guy.
Just get smaller thumbs. Duh.
Please. This
A large big red button that upvotes everything would save us all a lot of time
I want the old GIFs of the big beautiful wall being built when I upvote!
That always makes me think of Tucker.
It's a Trump quote, but it always makes me think of those "Can't Cuck The Tuck" YouTube compilations. Sadly the creator came back briefly after his hiatus, but then quickly disappeared again.
I miss high energy. I hope he returns one day.

Thank you based mods!
Agreed. Plus it lets off piss off shills before we deport them.
Look at how Stack Exchange (Stack Overflow) manages karma.
If you downvote you lose points, as does the person related to the item you are downvoting. You get privileges at certain numbers of points. For example you can't downvote if you have less than 100 points.
To keep it simple, just make downvoting lose points, and you can't downvote if you don't have any points. That should keep the lazy shills out, while still allowing downvoting of legitimately bad content.
IMHO that's why Stack Exchange has a really nice set of boards for working with software. The shills and trolls quickly identified or self-destroy their karma.
This is interesting. I like this. Also somewhat gives value to up votes.
this is the only other alternative i'd be happy with (apart from just detecting people mass downvoting and disabling it/banning them)
I love this idea.
This is good advice and similar to what i said too
Keep downvotes, write something to detect cucks who a mass downvoting
Absolutely no one on here is authentically downvoting content on a mass scale and anyone that is a low energy jeb(!) bush that need to be deported anyway
What makes this approach hilarious is the only way for these cucks to manipulate thedonald.win with downvotes is to upvote a bunch of content as well
And since thedonald.win is THE DONALD they have to upvote pro trump content
Well done!
It would be nice to have picture links open up in line with the text. Voat did that and it worked really well. Too bad Voat is overrun with libtard shills.
No brakes!
We need our lovely coat, brick, and Trump train bots back. Then it will really feel like home again.
It's good the concerns about the registrar aren't going unnoticed! Great job mods
Is there a dns attack going on or is this place just overflowing with big dick energy? My connection is moving slower than a Democrat en route to an actual private sector job.
Weird - mine’s zippier than Antifa running from a 1-on-1 fight ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Disclaimer: I’m condoning violence ?
Site is working perfectly for me. Much faster than reddit.
Yeah, it is running great now.
It’s as slow as the Clinton Foundation disbursing aid to people in need.
Hey! 5 percent is enough!
Make link post better for mobile users. Reddit allows me to share images from my device. Currently here I would need to submit it in link form.
Yes, please continue kek-worthy updates until we are tired of winning.
Yeah, but according to the Trello board, do you know what’s on deck when you’re tired of rad updates?
Radder and radder updates. ??✊?
Under budget and ahead of schedule!
Can you separate the upvote and downvote totals?
YOU FOLKS ARE AWESOME!!!
Nice
Have an upvote and nice work.
I would prefer not to have to sign in on my phone every time I visit.
Coming along nicely, keep it up guys!
I’ve read your work. I like your brain.
Thank you mods/creators. You will go down in history and always be remembered by all of us for your commitment and hard work for civilization. *BTW- LOVE THE SPEZ FOR EDITS! FUCK SPEZ.
You did all this in a day?
We appreciate all your hard work!!!
ahead of schedule, under budget
Just point out the old thread had a lot of good suggestions/bugs that haven't been implemented or fixed. xoxoxo
https://thedonald.win/p/10g6dM/site-updates-suggestions-and-bug/?sort=new
Good stuff. Keep it up.
Can we get > quotes added? Also, automatically quoting the selected text (if any) when you click the reply button. I've been wanting to address people's points one by one a number of times now but it just looks like greentext that's not green.
Yeah, all the Markdown support would be nice!
Niiiice.
Based mods are based. Thanks all who are improving the site!
I would like a way to 'transfer my karma' accumulated on T_D.
LOL
I like the fresh start on here. 30% of my reddit karma was from other subs, and I don't want to taint this beautiful site with any commie karma.
We need a “context” button to see when someone replies to our comments
Click on "permalink" and that will take you to a single comment thread of the original post, and from there you can choose to view all comments, etc.
That doesn’t work.
If someone replies to my comment, and I want to see what comment of mine they’re replying to, and I click perks link, it just goes to their comment. There’s no parent button or context button. If I click see full comment thread, I see a giant amount of comments.
I just want to be able to click back through to see what I wrote.
My requests are simple and if there is another way to accomplish them, fill me in...would like to keep 'sort by' at new as my default and be able to open a link automatically in a new tab. I did check the settings tab, not there yet. In the grand scheme of things, these are low priority, the site is functioning and there are more important items to be worked on.
Wish they could find a way to weave the captcha in with the captcha memes:
Or match the meme picture with the meme phrase: Some tensorflow, some OCR, and multiple choice - that’s reasonably bot-proof ?
That's some next level trolling.
Forcing cucks to "Select all the cucks" captcha is is a twisted type of psychological warfare that gives me a semi.
Mods pleez add. Oh my sides. ? Captcha trannies... select all the males. Captcha sides of beef...
A+ best suggestion
WE LOVE YOU!! OUR SITE KEEPS GETTING BETTER!! WINNING ALL THE WAY!
I see the "Additional forums" in the wishlist tab on the Trello page. It would be awesome to have more forums. The first that comes to mind is a Gun Deals forum, since the one from Reddit got neutered and pussified.
Thank you so much mods for all your hard work. :)
Nice work! KAG! TRUMP2020!!
Would personally love to have RES style feature where you can drag images to enlarge and shrink them, and close them out or collapse them with an "X" instead of having to scroll down past it for comments.
I don't know how feasible this actually is though. If it's something that takes a lot of development time, it's probably not worth it. Just a quality of life change that would make the experience more enjoyable.
I am also one of those people that turns off subreddit styles on Reddit, so an option for a more basic look would be preferable for me. Not sure if that really makes sense considering the difference in structure between Reddit and here.
Both of these features are more like wishlist items and not really something that should happen, but just something I'd personally like.
But one thing I would like and think would be a genuine improvement would be the functionality to drag comment boxes and enlarge them horizontally, not just vertically. It becomes much easier to read and format longer comments when you can drag it out horizontally.
All of these features I want are also geared toward desktop users as well, so I'm not sure how important that is, since most people probably don't view the website on a laptop/desktop. But I don't actually have any data on that, so you guys would be better able to make that call.
Good ideas.
I would also like to be able to go to the comment chain from a users post or a reply to one of my posts that shows up in the mailbox. You have a bunch of extra clicks to get you where you want to go.
I’m pretty sure this is who Gab uses now.
Flairs? What flairs? I should have one o.O
Hook it up with dark mode for us bed browsing pedes.
"Now remaining logged in throughout updates"
A BIG Thank You for that one!!!
I suggest some CSS fix:
Thank you mods!
Amazing work.
You guys are doing great work. Thank you.
