LAST WEEK RECAP - TEXT

Last week in LESSON 003: TEXT, we talked about how to use Paint(dot)Net to create "best practice" text for your memes, including a link to a fairly easy method of creating shadowed text. But before we get to this week's fun stuff, let's talk just a bit more about other options for creating text.

Once you have your meme made and ready for text, you can also export the image to any of several web sites, simpler image editing programs that have easier text creation, even apps that allow that allow you to add captions and use them to add your text.

However all the topics we touched on about spelling, grammar, font choice, font color still apply.

While the last three lessons have been fairly in depth in terms of being step-by-step, this week you will be essentially flying solo. Today, your challenge is to...

MAKE A MEME - You can make a fresh one or reuse one you have made in the last three weeks. It can be dank, boomer, hell it can even be a K-Pop meme.

POST YOUR MEME TO R.THE_DONALD - Get your feet wet and make a post. Get used to how this is done so that you can see that its easier to do than some people think it is. The time to learn how to make a post is not when you have your first genius meme ready. You should know how to do it in advance

Practical application

I have been spoon feeding ideas and specific files to you over the last three weeks. This week there will be none of that. Today we are taking the training wheels off the tricycle!

If you are looking for a place online to host your images so that you can post them on the Donald. I suggest you use MAGAimg.net.

This host is r.the_Donald approved and as you will see when you post an image to the domreddit. You will notice that a link to this based image host is provided as a suggestion during this process.

Some of you are going to get stuck in the process of making a post or pasting in a link. Don't give up! Ask questions here and let others help you (I will be at work today) .

So, unleash the creativity and the ideas that you have and go forth and meme. DO NOT BE AFRAID THAT YOUR MEME IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Kick any ideas like that out of your head and never let them back in. Remember that the most important thing is the IDEA and not perfect technical execution. While the technical aspects of the meme should not detract from the message, by no means do they need to be error free. You have wide latitude here.

You can never know who may be inspired by your meme or how it will influence them. Once your meme is free and in the wild, it will spark the imagination of others who will build and expand upon it. While your meme may never be retweeted by POTUS, it will have influence that can lead to your message reaching a wider audience.

And that could start HERE today. Who knows? Maybe a few of the memes posted here today and linked below will get a "sticky" and be seen by tens of thousands of people.

So get off your ass (or more likely start sitting on it) and let the memes flow!
