twitters algorithm is awful at detecting sarcasm and double-meaning tweets. They have to manually find these accounts and ban them one by one. It’s very inefficient and annoying.
Which is why the NPC accounts were such a pain in their ass. Their system could do NOTHING about it and they were forced to basically pay people to find them and permaban them. I think the NPC thing was great, it was hilarious. It had to have been one of the all time trolls that platform has ever seen.
If you had an NPC account and were flat our just reposting SJW outrage then you won. Everyone saw the humor in it; the cancel culture cried about it; the fake outrage mob had to block all the accounts. It was glorious.
