I’m gonna be honest, I have nothing against gays getting married cause it doesn’t infringe on my rights. But DAMN the slippery slope we’re on right now is baaaad. Something needs to change.
The issue is marriage is a religious custom- those religions get to decide what marriage is. The government should not be in the business of licensing, taxing and regulating a religious practice. Additionally marriage should not afford you special benefits from the government. Marriage isn’t theirs to change.
Interesting thought. I’ve never thought of this. Maybe marriage should be completely privatized, and every couple’s taxes should be lowered to the bracket as if you were filing as a Single.

Society does have norms that have to be protected. We don't always know the reason why because the norms took thousands of years and inspiration from Christ to develop.
In this case, the evidence clearly shows, gays shouldn't have officially recognized marriages because the slope to degeneracy is ridiculously slippery.
I supported gay marriage 10 years ago because I thought it would reduce the degeneracy. I now pray for forgiveness

I had a discussion about this with a gay business owner, and he was the one that brought up the thought that pedophilia would be next. Some gays, of course, are predators, and others strongly disapprove of pedophilia as being harmful to children.
