I don't disagree about making our own platforms. I disagree with stifling dissent. Some people come to /r/the_Donald and make a fool of themselves but the way I would see it is that instead of banning, we either make fun of them or engage their ideas. The playing ground is still our ground. If they come here trying to post racist shit (as they are, because they're tyrants, because they want dissent to not only not be around them, but not on this earth at all) then we can ban them. But bans for posting negative things about Trump or some right wing character I am not a fan of.
I agree with you. It's sad dissent here is stifled while we point fingers at the left and their echo chambers.
