And it wasn’t until I found myself down-voting completely innocuous posts on the internet that I finally started questioning my political beliefs. Why were a bunch of supposed Republicans going on about a murdered DNC staffer? Why was Hillary running to the right of Trump on war and trade agreements? Why was every single member of the establishment that dragged us into the Iraq war, bailed out Wall Street, and supported an unlimited trade deficit with China, in favor of Hillary Clinton, and hated Donald Trump?
Most importantly, why did simply stating these facts make me so upset that I felt the need to spend hours of my day getting angry and suppressing their speech?
I firmly believe Trump has the ability to hold a mirror to liberals, to expose their various contradictions. Think Trump is trying to destroy the constitution? Democrats are the ones talking about getting rid of the electoral college. Think Trump is a tyrant and abusing power? Democrats are the ones voting to give him the largest military budgets of all time. Think Trump is a racist? Democrats are fielding a fake African American (Kamala Harris is Jamaican-Indian raised in Canada) and a fake Native American. Think Trump is a threat to the free press? Two billionaires, Jeff Bezos and Michael Bloomberg, control esteemed liberal media institutions that are routinely prevented from doing their jobs as journalists.
I can go on and on. It took a long time for me to come around. But in the end it was the consistent messaging and support for the President I found on The_Donald that broke through my Mockingbird Media inspired haze. Thank you pedes, for refusing to be silenced.
all the craziness, violence, attacks on Trump supporters, from the youngest of young to the oldest of old, of every background imaginable...
