Just to get the nomenclature correct, modern American liberalism is the opposite of Progressivism. Progressives ( Big P ) is Globalist, Big government, and wants centralized control of the economy. The current democrats are not Liberal.
Liberals want small government, lower taxes, free speech, and to be left the fuck alone. I am proudly a Liberal.
