What they don't realise about science is that a lot of sectors are completely corrupt. I'm talking lack of proper peer review, corporate sponsored studies, etc. However, importantly, many scientists are actually afraid to challenge the status quo, even though they know it's wrong eg no one will publish trans critical studies because they know it is career suicide, same thing with differences between races. Even if they don't care about their reputation, they do care about the grant money from the big corps and big organisations.

Really, science is not in a good place right now. You shouldn't put all your faith in what is the 'consensus'.
