Try to support him, is there a gofundme or a link to contribute to help Julian?

So, people are wondering how Britain could be the most progressive country in the world when they are imprisoning a person that staked his life on transparency.

Julian Assange is the person that wouldn't sell out his values.

That's because Britain is a dystopian hell hole. They voted for Brexit years ago, nothing has happened. More cameras than human beings, no free speech, no right to a fair or speedy trial. Media dominated by BBC, literally state run. Their intelligence services are more aggressive, but towards their own people. The wealth in their country is older, as in generations and generations playing the same games. The royal family has more skeletons int their closet from those alive than the catacombs. Lord knows what terrible things have happened in """"nobles"""" estates out in those countryside estates and mansions.

We should start calling them Airstrip One.

Because WikiLeaks is party neutral, having released evidence not supporting either party (read: fair reporting), Assange incarcerated is neutralized.

I suspect our allies were also at risk for exposing corruption and other things.

Hint: A fair & honest press is not desirednby world leaders.

Can he pardon someone who isn't a US citizen? I'm out of my knowledge-base here.

Asange provided decrypting of military classified information. Like many of us, we are neither all good or all bad. His good is not why his extradition is important. It's his bad.

In either event, he should have all reasonable care while incarcerated in UK.

Uncomfortable truth: it’s Barr keeping him in those conditions. He’s being held by the brits because our DoJ is indicting him.

If a whitehouse.gov petition got enough signatures, POTUS would have to respond.

18
Seahawks2020 18 points ago +18 / -0

Sweden already dropped charges. If DoJ says no case against him, Brits have no legal basis to keep him in jail.

14
MusicToMyEars 14 points ago +14 / -0

Or, subpoena him to help give evidence in Barr’s investigation. And offer immunity. That seems like a win-win.

for this to carry on so long Julian can't or Won't give evidence, I am sure he has been asked in some way shape or form.

The Current outrage is he's held in a really shitty place, after years trapped in the consulate, not prime condition to end up in a shithole.

Also, with impeachment going on, even if it's a sham, mechanizations get going, the internal deepstate battles, the bazillion pending inditements , until he's extradited , that case is in limbo -Not a lawyer BTW...

rustyrockers 12 points ago +12 / -0

We've got pedes, let's petition!

Just makes me sad. Really how you save him is a jailbreak, but he isn't as lucky as epstien. He also didn't have a painting of Billy c Inna dress

Imransgarage 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah it’s sad af.

So is Paul Manafort and soon to be Roger Stone. Obviously there hasn't been an adequate response, but the better question is WHO should be responding? Average citizens can't do jack shit. "Call your Reps". They're all Dems. We can't do anything and that's what's so frustrating.

More honest people need to become politicians. Become an insider and destroy them within.

MagicCarpetBurns 14 points ago +14 / -0

I get it, The UK is now holding him because of extradition requests from the US.

Two Things:

Write your Senators, Congress reps., and our president.

In an election year success is dubious.

So we can assume at some point he will be extradited .

Until custody is exchanged, it's the UK who Must see to their prisoner's needs.

Really though, the big picture is EVERY DAMN EFFECTIVE Trump supporter is and has been a target, the legal misconduct needs to be stopped - unlikely unfortunately.

60+ Doctors should have some weight, in a Just world.

He shouldn't be pardoned, but his sentence should be commuted.

Imransgarage 4 points ago +4 / -0

Right, the Mac sentence in the Is is five years he’s done that already.

Appears his extradition hearing is going to be in Feb. I have seen quite a few statements about how ill he is but I haven't seen a specific disease or condition mentioned. Hopefully he can hang on and resolution to his case will happen in Feb.
Something to shift focus toward as that day approaches. Barr inherited this indictment so that is wildcard imo.

PawelKozak 3 points ago +3 / -0

"hang on" just doesn't fell right in this context

6
FUCHINA 6 points ago +6 / -0

God speed Julian. There hasn’t and perhaps it’s been because it’s politically difficult and maybe the narrative hasn’t made its way back to him but we’ll be ready to be vocal when the ear is just right

PawelKozak 5 points ago +5 / -0

just read about the prison he is held in, they say it's like a "jihadi training camp", a group that calls itself "The Brother" apparantley basically run the place https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3594987/Belmarsh-maximum-security-jail-like-jihadi-training-camp-extremists-brainwash-young-prisoners-spread-terror-message-prison-system.html

Does anybody know his address? Can we send him letters or care packages? Aren't there Red Cross or generally accepted rules that prisoners can get letters?

4
a_chill_bro 4 points ago +4 / -0

What do you propose we do? Bust him out?

Farmerbob1 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm not sure what President Trump really can do for Assange.

I'm not sure Assange would want to come to the US. If Seth Rich really was his informant, he's got a damn good reason to not want to put himself in our country. Even if it wasn't a political murder, the coincidence is far too large to ignore.

Honestly, what would need to happen is some sort of three-way deal.

Example - Assange goes to Iceland in exchange for some US favors to the UK and Iceland.

In exchange for that, Assange turns over his source material (not his sources) to the Trump administration. Especially any source material that has been held as a "dead man's switch."

You keep the journalists in line by making an example of one that actually went deep on the powers that be.

"Compare the treatment of Julian Assange to that of Prince Andrew. One is targeted by the establishment, the other is protected by it. And the wonder where populism comes from."

well said.

1
libertyhominid 1 point ago +2 / -1

Think about it: the US will not make a PEEP about his help until he’s safely in our hands. He’s still in UK custody. Any mention before the handover will fuck it up.

1
CQVFEFE 1 point ago +1 / -0

He'll testify in Feb/Mar

Then watch what happens to the deep state

While Julian Assange was incredibly helpful, both sides of the political spectrum view men like him as dangerous.

Julian Assange will never be released. Trump will never rally for the release of someone like him. And it's not just a "Trump" thing, it's all people of power. Sure, he made use of the services Assange provided. But Assange and people like him are too dangerous.

That's right. No one cares
